At first I looked at Google Earth and wondered what this pond was. I went there without any expectations, and the view suddenly opened up, and it was a nice looking pond. If you go to the observation deck, you can see the pond and Kobe Port below. I think it would be better if there was a parking lot. In that case, I think I should stop the car at the nearest Cain's and buy something before heading home.

It is a pond rich in nature♪( ´▽`) There were also people walking their dogs on the promenade around the pond and fishing... There were lots of chicks, woodpeckers, and warblers. You can sometimes encounter kingfishers. There is an observation deck, but depending on the season you have to push your way through the grass, and there are plenty of other good views when walking in the mountains of Kobe, so I don't think there's a need to stop by. It seems that local volunteers are helping lions clean and maintain the pond. A peaceful pond with a nostalgic feel full of nature.

I went to see it in winter, but all I saw was dead grass. I think it would be better to go in the summer.

This is a pond that is rare in Kobe City and does not have a "No Fishing" sign. That's no wonder; the pond is filled with exotic species such as bluegill, red-eared slider, Japanese carp, and bullfrog. There are a few black bass, but the numbers are so low that you can't catch one in a day. Bass fishing here is not recommended. The surrounding area is maintained by the neighbors, so it looks clean at first glance, but if you look closely, it's dirty because the DQNs with bad manners are throwing away trash. disappointing.

There is no sign that says Mt. Takatori, but as I headed towards it, I couldn't find it and found it by asking a kind local person. It's not that far to the top of Mt. Takatori, so even beginners can climb it with some ease. There is also Takatori Shrine, and you can see a beautiful view at the top.

This was a really lovely lake to walk to for some exercise. The views were really nice. Great time to spend the morning on a very nice sunny day.

There are stairs that lead to Shishigaike a little further down from Cain's, and you can get to Shishigaike in about 5 minutes from here. The volunteers have worked hard to keep it in good condition. In spring, you can enjoy cherry blossoms and azaleas, and after May, you can enjoy the flowers of irises and yellow irises. If you go hiking around the pond, you can walk a lot. Few people come, so you can have it all to yourself.

I left my car at Cain's Home and took a walk to Shishigaike. The entire area has changed due to development, but Shishigaike Pond seems to have remained as it was in its natural state, and as soon as you step into it, you will be surrounded by nature and it will be very soothing. It feels a little lonely during the current cold season, but I plan to come back in the spring. I think you will be healed by the beautiful fresh green trees. It was a new discovery to have such a good place nearby. Why not bring a lunch box or something when you go out 😉

(Translated by Google) It was very natural and I was tired and stressed every day. Recently, I rarely come into contact with nature, so I would like to visit again. (Original) とても自然豊かで日々の疲れ、ストレスがけいげんされました。 最近は自然に触れることも少ないのでまた訪れたいです

A wonderful place where you can feel the beautiful nature You can catch beetles and even enjoy fishing, although it is an invasive species. Access is a little inconvenient, but it's worth a try.
