😠 Perhaps because the weather was bad and it was a small boat, the flight was canceled 20 minutes before departure. It can't be helped because it's the weather. If you are unable to take the train, you can take an alternative route by taking the Hiroden from Atomic Bomb Dome-mae Station, taking about... People often mention Miyajima,

It's a good experience. You must take it once. It may not be the peak tourist season when I go there, so I just buy a ticket and get on the boat. Go out to sea along the river, and it will accelerate into a speedboat when you reach the sea. From here when going to Miyajima, be sure to sit on the right side so you can see the city of Hiroshima from the sea.

Don't heed to the comment that JR ferry option is available here. It isn't , it's another company.

45 minute ferry to Miyajima. We got a round trip for ¥3,600 each. When you get to Miyajima you book the time you want to return. Very easy to understand English instructions. Great view! Try and get a seat by the windows by getting in line early though even the bad seats have good views.

There are ferries to Miyajima, or rather boats like water buses. It takes 45 minutes to reach Miyajima. It's very empty, probably because it's not well known. There were about 20 passengers on the 11:00 Saturday flight. By the way, the same company also operates a flight from Miyajima to Miyajimaguchi, and if you use this service, you can get a discount on the return trip. This place was empty too. The convenience of being able to go directly to Miyajima after visiting the Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Museum, Gate Park, etc. is great. At first, you'll be riding slowly down the Motoyasu River, but once you get out to sea, the speed will suddenly pick up and you'll be racing with white waves, making it a fun attraction. There seems to be a drawback that the operation is easily influenced by the river tide level (low or high), so you need to be careful when checking the operation information.

We took the ferry operated by JR, which meant it was free for JR pass holders. It's quite a large ferry and we waited for about 20 minutes in a long line. It has comfortable inside seating as well. But we preferred standing outside and enjoying the ride and the scenery along the way to Mitajima. You can spot the famous floating Tori gate from the ferry.

this route is very convenient to visit tow world heritage. it is easy to access Miyajima/ Itsukushima shrine. And price is reasonable. I recommend round ticket from here.

This was a great ride! Absolutely worth the money spent. When traveling on the river the bost goes slower so you can go outside and watch the surroundings. On the open sea the boat speeds up considerably and it’s a fun ride! Sit in the back for cool wave breaking sights. We loved the ride and would go again.

One way is 2000 yen, round trip is 3600 yen. JR pass can't be used here since it's different transport company.

Perhaps because the weather was bad and it was a small boat, the flight was canceled 20 minutes before departure. It can't be helped because it's the weather. If you are unable to take the train, you can take an alternative route by taking the Hiroden from Atomic Bomb Dome-mae Station, taking about an hour to Miyajimaguchi, and then boarding the JR Miyajima Ferry. Perhaps because JR ferries are large, there were no cancellations. There is a route from Hiroshima Station to Miyajima Exit by JR that takes about 30 minutes, but since the weather was already bad by the time I got to Hiroshima Station, I thought it would be better to switch to JR.
