I went there today looking for iaido swords but it seems that this one is more for kendo so they ordered for me a taxi and they paid for it❤️ They also took my measurements and answered all my questions 🙏🏻

Staff worked hard to break language barrier. But speaking kendo helps. Got the whole family sorted with gear. Staff made sure everything fit properly by asking us to try one size up and down. Really appreciated the effort. Show room upstairs is quite an impressive site. Shopping was tax free.

Great service here. They did not have what I needed, do they ordered the right sizes and everything was shipped to my door instead of having to go back to pick it up.

I asked info on thru the form on their website, and never got any answer.

Completely ignored for 30 minutes. Walked in right after another customer and waited, but as soon as the other customer left the employee refused to make eye contact and left the room. Ended up buying kote at 尚武堂産業株式会社｜Shobudo Sangyo.

If you want Aikido, Kendo training gear this store is for you.. It's 10/10

Was in search of somewhere to have my judogi embroidered and both my research and hotel concierge pointed me to this store. I had initially thought it was just a Kendo store with display “museum” but turns out they have Karate and Judo uniforms as well (but limited). Staff are SUPER friendly and an English speaking gentleman by the name of Yoshi helped me arrange for embroidery service. Great quality work, reasonable price and again, awesome team. (Special shout out to Stephania who corresponded with me via email separately before my visit). Thank you all once again. Highly recommended if you need martial arts equipment/ embroidery services. Note that the latter is only available at this outlet.

Good place to buy hand made gear ... however rather expensive. Fantastic staff here.

I love the products from Tozando, especially their hakama. I'm so glad to have finally been able to visit their store here in Kyoto.

If you don't know japanese, Just order from International site and wait. They don't answer to email, they don't help with emergencies, they cash in and ignore all the english email before and After the purchase, Just horrible service. Never again from Tozando, zero help.

More Kendo oriented than their sister Store but same high level of attention, quality and customer service

Ich habe über Tozando mein erstes Iaito bestellt und war sehr zufrieden. Das Schwert hilft mir im Training sehr viel weiter zu verstehen, wie die Bewegungsabläufe funktionieren. Viele kleine Bewegungen sind nun fast intuitiv. ( zuvor übte ich mit einem geliehenen Schwert). Der Service über die Homepage war stets freundlich, direkt und gut nachvollziehbar. Das Schwert kam genau so an, wie ich es bestellt hatte. Es ist makellos. Es war sehr sicher verpackt. Für mich war es die erste große Bestellung aus einem Land auf der anderen Seite des Globus und ich konnte Tozando voll vertrauen. Vielen Dank. I ordered my first Iaito through Tozando and was very satisfied. The sword helps me a lot more in training to understand how the movements work. Many small movements are now almost intuitive. (before that I practiced with a borrowed sword). The service via the homepage was always friendly, direct and easy to understand. The sword arrived exactly as I ordered. It is immaculate and was packaged very securely. For me it was the first big order from a country on the other side of the globe and I could trust Tozando completely. Thanks very much

I went to the shop to buy a custom fit karate gi, and while this is clearly not the main focus of the staff, they were very helpful and careful in making sure that everything was to my liking. It was a very enjoyable experience.
