Absolutely phenominal stay!! The GuestHouse is comfortable, full of charm, and is extremely clean. Yuki is wildly hospitable and generous. He went out if his way multpitle times to make sure we were cared for, and was flexible when we needed to extend our stay another night. His English is great and we never had difficulty communicating with him. The GuestHouse is nicely situated between town and the ocean, with a great view. It was too cold to swim but there is lots of equipment available to play in the water. Bikes are available to get a little further faster. We loved our stay and would definitly stay again!

A good place to stay if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel with good surroundings.the owner is Betty friendly and nice and also a hard working Japanese e guy who has a vision of contributing to tourism industry and also he welcome all the locals and foreigners same as his family.we enjoyed talking to them and it’s is more like home to us.No rules, No objections but always a yes with a sweet smile and of course if you are new to Shimoda they will show you nice places.highly recommend this place.

Came here with my family with 2 small kids. I had a really great experience. The host has travelled abroad and is psyched to see foreigners. He went above and beyond his duties and even gave my family a lift when we needed it. The Japanese guests who come here seem to be on the chill side of the spectrum as well, I had a great time interacting with them too. Rooms were small but functional, bath was a bit cramped. Overall 10/10 would recommend.

Beautiful Guesthouse with all you could need! Fantastic view, clean, all the amenities, comfortable and great service! The host at the front desk went over and above, trying to make sure we were able to see the local sights. He rented us great bikes for free and emailed links with directions to all the local attry. He also spoke excellent English!

Yuki is an unbelievable host. Very caring and always has recommendations. Privacy was important for my wife and I and Guest House All You Need provided us with that. Great shared space, kitchen and BBQ area were highlights of the establishment. It is a short walk to the beach and Yuki has provided snorkel gear as well as surf boards and paddle boards. Highly recommend for any aquatic lover.

It's all in the name. From the moment we were picked up at the train station, Yuuki and his wife were the perfect hosts. Friendly, personable, knowledgeable - anything we needed was already available or a quick call away. Surfboards, SUPs, bikes, stocked kitchen, outdoor BBQ, and a deck with a view of the bay perfect for breakfasts or sundowners. The place was immaculate, information about the area was abundant and minute details had been thought through to make your stay more enjoyable.

Great people. Personal experience. Great range of rental things such as bicycles, stand up paddle boards, etc. And a beautiful view of the ocean from the rooms. Cool atmosphere inside the shared space as well.

Fantastic place to stay and relax! I had a perfect three days. The young owners are so friendly and helpful. They have made a super comfortable clean bright hostel with lots of nice touches, kitchen, hammock, bbq area, bikes, SUP. All rooms have lovely view of sea, beds very comfortable and feels like hotel. The area has lots to offer, and I didn't have a car but with some walking, bus or train you can do a lot. I'll definitely stay again.

It's a good, clean place to stay with a beautiful view of ocean and mountain. It has kitchen as well. If you have your own vehicle then it's very good place to stay, but if you are thinking to reach there by walk, then it's better to reach there in day time only. It's little far from Izukyu-Shimoda station.

Just like the name of the guesthouse "All you need", it ticked all the boxes of what travelers need! It's in a great location - 5 minutes to the nearest beach. It's quiet and has a great sea view from the room. The common space is big and has a kitchen/fridge. There is also a terrace for BBQ. You can rent bike and Standup paddle boarding from them. Each room all has their own bathroom. The owners are really helpful and friendly (They speak English & Japanese). Simply amazing and super relaxing - we will defiantly be coming again!

A paradise-like place with outstanding hospitality provided by the owners. The guesthouse exceeded my expectations when I opened my room’s door and saw an emerald Pacific Ocean bay through the window (where I eventually practiced Standup Paddle Board - SUP - available for renting). The 2-bed room has a good size, comfortable beds, and a compact - yet appropriate - bathroom. I also highlight the general cleanliness of the entire place, the well-equipped kitchen, the good vibe of the shared space, and the convenience of the bicycles available to guests. “All you need” is a place to lay back, practice sports, and get in touch with the coastal side of Japan. I hope to get back someday.

We are a family of 4 who stayed 6 nights during June in the family room with 4 beds and a wonderful view over the bay. The guesthouse is run by a very kind and generous young couple who do everything in their power to make the guests' stay as convenient as possible. The place is renovated, well organised and kept very clean. There is a lot of information about Shimoda, and different equipments and facilities are made available for different kinds of activities. The kitchen and the common space for dining, hanging and socializing is furnished tastefully and it also has a nice view over the bay. We met a lot of interesting people with whom we had a wonderful barbecue evening together with the hosts. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone visiting Shimoda. Our whole family is already missing this place.

(Book a stay directly by phone or Instagram!) I think this is my favourite hostel, I can scarcely imagine any place having a better assortment of things you can use while on your trip of the amazingly pretty Izu peninsula. The hosts are amazing, and you can see their love for travel and travellers. I've had really fun conversations with them and I'm sure I'll see them again on my next visit. I had great talks with the guests as well, all while admiring a pretty bay with light blue water from the living room. Rooms are tidy and have 2 sockets per bed, with a toilet and shower in each room. I think I could stay here for a while when I visit Japan again.
