The only thing I didn't like was the fact that I didn't know this place even existed until today. The atmosphere, cozy. The service, great. The food, the best! I left my plate spotless, it was that good. You best believe I made sure to give my complements to the chef. This restaurant immediately became my favorite. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially to any Hispanics feeling homesick. Short walk from Womble Gate. 10/5 stars! 👌

I know this is Peruvian cuisine but it’s the only place that reminds me of home in NYC. Peruvian food is a mix of cultures Japanese, Chinese and indigenous Inca, etc. Their National dish is Chalufa —fried rice!! (From the Cantonese word for Chow Fun) There’s a lot of restaurants that they claim NY that and NY this but it’s all fraud and marketing. It’s just a gimmick but this place is legit authentic Peruvian. Restaurants have small chance of making mistakes or miscommunication with customers it’s natural because we’re human. I haven’t seen plantains anywhere in Japan but this place has it! If you don’t see plantains in the corner of a restaurant you haven’t experienced “True New York” dining experience and you’ve only been to the tourist spots. There’s so many restaurants out there that have catered to the Japanese palette which is just shameful in my opinion and I get it it’s all about the revenue but this place kept it legit and that’s rare. Bravo el Pechugon! Muchas Grasias!

Food was good! The lovely lady that took our order was kind of enough to go through with my request of no onions. The portions are generous but a little more pricey. It could be to curve any import costs for specialty ingredients though! Would like to try more things on the menu.

Ordered pollo saltado and 1/4 chicken meal. The pollo saltado came out perfectly! I enjoy trying new food, which has the similarity to filipino food. Overall, if anyone is in the area to try out this place. I came from Yokota AB and stopped by here. It did not disappoint.

My first Peruvian restaurant in Japan and before I even paid my bill, I knew I was coming back. You will surely walk past this little gem if you aren't intentionally looking for it. That's totally cool with me because then I won't ever have to worry about it being crowded.😎 See ya soon, El Pechugon.

Got the Milanesa and saltado de Camaron. Milanesa was good, similar to chicken katsu. The saltado is more of a tomato based savory taste on fries w shrimp. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was good. The cakes look great too. The salsa rojo was perfect. It didn’t have too much of a smoky chipotle taste but it was spicy. But not too spicy to take away from the meal

We have eaten here a few times now and we love it. At first I was skeptical because I've never had Peruvian food, but it was so good. I've had the ceviche, good; Papa rellena, good; tamale, okay (It only had 1 piece of meat inside🤨) oh and they like putting an olive in random foods lol They have platanos! 😋 It's just a small restaurant though, with like 4 tables.

AMAZING FOOD!! Owner and staff are so great, that alone would make me continue to come back. Prices are not bad for the amount of food you get with every order. This is one place I'll miss when I leave Japan.

Terrible service. Had hair in my food. 🤮 What I ordered didn’t look like the picture. Milkshake was just melted ice cream in a glass (very watery). AND she still charged my husband for the food with the hair in it after I sent it back. Chairs are filthy and haven’t been washed. Hole in the wall. Should be a bar, not a restaurant. 🥴 I see the restaurant replied, with even worse customer service. 🤦🏾‍♀️ After I POLITELY showed her the hair in my almost FULL plate of food (and didn’t even make a scene), she asked if I wanted a new plate of food which I declined, because why would I reorder food I’ve already been disgusted by? And yet they STILL kept the plate of food on our ticket. 🙄 Do I really have to ASK for you to not charge me for food I couldn’t finish eating? Clearly that’s how y’all do business. So I’m here to let the public know. And I see you’re insinuating that me having an Afro is why I had hair in my food. That’s not okay. Sad. Also, ice cream or no, the milkshake was still watery. 🤷🏾‍♀️

the chicken here is delicious and the empanadas the same, my favorites for sure, the jalea or fry seafood was not my favorite, I think it had too much batter but I would definitely go back.

Large portions, Japanese/English/Spanish speaking owners, offers takeout, great selection (Tres Leches cakes, fried rice, avocado smoothies, etc.), Spanish music, and delicious Peruvian food. Only comment is the Air conditioning at times cannot keep up with the hot & humid Yokosuka summers.
