Images online are outdated. Front desk customer service and cold and supervisor never came to our room to address any issues we were having. This is not a long stay hotel. Is 1-2 days stay. It is a tourist spot. Food is pricey and doesn't taste good. The view is beautiful. They only cater to other ethnicities. As a Dominican, I booked this flight to see a different part of my country. My check in was supposed to be at 11am due to our flight. They had us wait 5 hours to get out of the room by a cold room. Once we got out of the room there was no water. There were a lot of discrepancies which were never addressed by a manager. They would only turn on the hot tub for other guests. Not us we would have to beg to get it turned on. There were activities around the area but we received the information 2 days before we left. Again this is not for a long stay. There are more accommodating places in the area. I would not recommend it.

As others have said, the grounds are beautiful. The restaurant right on the river is delightful, if a bit noisy (from the rushing water!) Breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant were great. Tip: it's outdoor seating, by water, surrounded by trees - wear bug spray! All of my encounters with the staff were pleasant. I found my room to be comfortable and spacious. Note: only bath towels are provided; no face cloth or hand towel.

Smelly room, not existent service (sorry to the stuff for having disturbed you while standing around), dirty pools, not existing possibility for any activities, No access to hiking paths, bad breakfast (at least the stuff that finally arrived at our table, not forgotten by the waiter). Amazing having a convention in the hotel Restaurant during dinner time. Among top ten of the worst Hotels experienced ever.

I would give a zero. The staff is uninterested, slow and is hiding. The builiding/rooms are dirty, smelly und run down. The breakfast is awful ( do Not eat dinner there). You can't go for a walk, you have drive opposite the town and the pools are dirty, partly disgusting. 2 lost days!

What an amazing and peaceful place! I just wanted a place to relax and enjoy nature in all its splendor. This place checks all those boxes. So beautiful and quiet, with just the sound of the river and the birds in great harmony. Just slow down and take it all in! Kudos to the staff for such a great job - keep it up guys!

It is a nice place with an excellent service. The location is kind of challenging to arrive at night, but it is the geography. The rooms need a make up of modernization.

This hotel had very friendly staff and the location was absolutely magical. It really felt like a getaway. Very serene and peaceful with gorgeous views of the local river, where locals and hotel guests alike are allowed to take a dip (at their own risk of course). The only reason I didn't give 5-stars is because the rooms were outdated and the bathroom had a weird smell coming from the sink or the pipes themselves. Luckily everything else was so beautiful that we didn't spend much time in the rooms at all. The onsite restaurant had amazing food, the spa was very relaxing, and we enjoyed the jacuzzi every day. We stayed there after our hike up Picó Duarte and it was the relaxing experience we needed.

The location is excellent, right next to the river. It's a little pricey but is worth it. I did not want to go back to the States.

We came for two nights as we wanted to see Jarabacoa and go paragliding. Check in was easy the room was alright, nothing special, the toilet in the room didn’t flush so if we had to do anything other then #1 we had to go down to the restaurant washroom which was a pain. The shower was very small and no shower curtain so water went everywhere on the floor. The restaurant itself was nice but food was not good except breakfast which was pretty decent, and the fresh juice was amazing. We ended up eating away from the hotel after the first dinner. They have 3 pools for me cold and two warmer ones, the cold one and the biggest “ warm” one were dirty ( very milky) and I was worried I would get an infection if I went in, at first we thought it may be from all the rain but the biggest warm pool was covered and the smallest one was not and it was very clear but we chose to just stay away from all of them. The scenery was very nice, and it was private. You will also get eaten alive by mosquitoes no matter how much bug spray you use.

Beautiful area, and good breakfast - but only one small plate included. If you are a big eater you will have to spend extra. Rooms seem old, no wifi in the rooms and also only one plug. Not for people who might have to work a little on their trip. In my opinion overpriced for what you get.

The safe deposit box was broken. And toilette is to small and low profile ( looks like fix only for babies) the hot water running too slow. And the lamp in the ceiling was dirty. They said due the cov19 was closed... looking litle dirty Breakfast time is ok

absolutely fantastic place to stay. Room service was excellent. the service is super awesome. great dining area and some light small trails. plus you got multiple pools and a river to cool off. Walk the premises and enjoy the flowers and plants.

Update 2023 Is no fast service anymore. In one hour at breakfast I got one cup of coffee and I brought it by myself. I ordered a sandwich that took an hour to get. October 2020 This is so far the best place I have been to in DR when it comes to service, quality and flexibility. You get a wonderful view by the river. You will experience fast service, I have never got my orders so fast at a restaurant here in DR close to this. It's very good quality of everything I tried and taste wonderful. I tried two different rooms, one more simple and the president suit. Both clean and fresh. This is a true gem in DR.

3 stars because of its natural beauty and the gorgeous waterfalls within view of the dining terrace. Staff were kind and helpful. Our room overlooking the pool was dated and in desperate need of refreshing. We were restricted to the “inclusive” menu and at best it was mediocre.

We really enjoyed our stay at his lovely resort. The service was excellent and the staff so very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the river is always flowing with cool water and beautiful sound. Fantastic restaurant with amazing food at good prices.

My first time in Dominican Republic and this was our choice of Hotel. Beyond our expectations, the customer service was professional, the housekeeping on point and very nice. The food was enjoyable. The view was amazing. Will come back again soon.

Joseph in the restaurant was outstanding, attentive, friendly and conversational. The rooms are very small compared to what we're used to in the US. If you book excursions plan to have Dominican Pesos because the vendors dont take credit cards. The paragliding (parapente) and four wheeling were spectacular. I just l8ve the sound of the river. The staff speak some English but throughout DR we found the Wooask offline app perfect to communicate with everyone. It's awesome that the voice recognition works both ways. everyone is happy to help with pronunciation and loved when we at least tried to speak the language. The sound of the river is so relaxing.

The staff at the restaurant and the food are 5 stars. The rest of the place is pretty and charming. Really nice grounds and THE best views of the river. Very helpful with supplying with ice for our cooler in the room or poolside. 5 stars Having enjoyed our time I do want to add a couple things. There is WIFI, yes. But not in our room. Only working WIFI was at the restaurant and the lobby. We were told they were working on this. and I saw evidence of that, new repeaters and additional available signals, however we were not given passwords, even when asked. So if you don't have your own internet (we do and it was in & out of service) and NEED a constant connection (we don't) or a reliable one (nice to have), ask about this before booking. 3 stars We heard that the resort had been recently renovated. There are three main buildings with rooms. I would call them, river view, courtyard, and pool. Maybe the other buildings were updated, but our pool view room was not. Nothing wrong, just a little tired. The room was very big. The bathroom was tiny and begging for attention. The beds and pillows and towels are all soft and cozy. 4 stars

It is an old hotel, lokated at a very beautiful place just at the river. But the stuff was really bed, especially at the check in. The rooms are really old and outdated,semi clean. Big swimming pool, with very loud music and recorded dj stuff. Such a shame for a place in nature to play music so hard that you can even talk to each other. No wonder there were no people at the pool. You can also hear the music in your room. When i asked the reception if we could get a quiet room she said, the music will stop at 19 hour. Yeahh well it 15 hours now. The food at the restaurant was pretty good thou.

Pained me to do this review at 2 stars because this was one of my favourite hotels that I’ve stayed at more then 20x. When we arrived none of the rooms were ready and we had to wait until 3:30 to even get a room. Fine. Came to the restaurant. I quit smoking so I use a small Juul for nicotine - not a big Vape or vape that emits hume. I was in the restaurant (open) for over half an hour with my family relaxing, and the “supervisor” Carolina came charging at our table like a bull and made us move saying no smoking. She was rude and made a scene. She made us move tables where people were smoking actual cigarettes which stunk. I wasn’t smoking so whatever. I feel less annoyed about not being able to have my vape and more annoyed about the way she startled and spoke to us. Rude and abrasive. Zero manners whatsoever. We also observed her at the bar with the staff displaying the same bad attitude. She seems to just have a terrible attitude in general and not reflective of my past visits here. Ruined my dinner and really left me feeling bad in the hotel considering the restaurant is the only place to get food here.

Stayed here in end of January 2021. Nice hotel in a beautiful spot by the river. Wonderful views and lush garden. We got a room above the restaurant and it was super noisy. We asked to switch a room and our request was honoured. Rooms are a bit outdated but clean. Beds are okay, and warm blankets included. The restaurant is nice, the staff was attentive but we had to wait 2 hours for our food. Mind you we were a group of 17 people. Didn't get to use the kids playground, as it was rainy both days, but it looks fantastic.

Great location right on the river. Nice pool. Pretty restaurant with a complete menu. Restaurant is on the edge of the river. One could say spectacular. Rooms comfy and clean. For the price a room with a balcony is a gift.

Perfect local vibes to get away in the mountains. The food was great. We enjoyed the spa and it's right next to a beautiful river. The bathrooms were the only complaint, they could be updated a little but otherwise fantastic time.

A really good place for peace and quiet. Reasonable prices for stay and food. Kind service. The creek directly at the hotel is a really good refresher.
