In August 2021 Rancho Baiguate is closed due to Corona virus. We drove there and we got help to find another hotel instead. Furthermore they helped us to connect with a guide for canyoning. However neither the homepage nor via email we got any information regarding the booking possibilities. At the Ranch they told us they open only for bigger groups / group reservation. I hope this helps other travelers planning their trip.

This company is run by swindlers. I used to love coming to Rancho Baiguate (now known as Baiguate Lodge) and would visit every year faithfully but now my family and I will NEVER spend another dollar here. Pre-COVID my husband and I put down a $2500 depot for our wedding which was supposed to be set for August 2020 but was cancelled when they closed due to the pandemic. We were assured that the deposit would be returned when they reopened since the cancelation was not our fault, but now after many attempts at contacting them they refuse to return one dime. It is SUCH a disappointment to know that the people who run the place I used to love are crooks. Do not support Baiguate Lodge, the owners do not care about their patrons.

Went here for river rafting which was super fun! We were picked up at the hotel and both breakfast and lunch buffets were included in the price. The guides were professional and gave a good walkthrough of the various commands. The rafting experience was quite intense and you need to be prepared for a bit of physical activity. You should definitely go rafting if you're in Jarabacoa and this place has a solid concept and good price.

Fantastic home base for a visit to the mountains. We organized a hike of Pico Duarte through this hotel, and it was extremely well organized. They picked us up from the bus station in nearby Jarabacoa, set us up in a simple but lovely room with very comfortable beds and a great shower, and all meals were included. Meals are buffet style but the food was varied and delicious. The guide for the hike spoke excellent English and knew the trail and organized the miles and country guides well. Everything was safe and efficient and customizable to our schedule and needs. They even supported our food allergies with safe and tasty hiking meals. Not to mention, the gardens and grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and covered with beautiful flowers and vegetation. I'd like to return to spend more time here just relaxing on the patio or by the pool.

Beautiful location... very courteous and helpful staff. We did two excursions- river trek and rafting.. both were excellent. They are well organized, family friendly and the food is simple but flavorful.

The grounds are beautiful. We did not stay here, but came over for a day of rafting. The river was exciting after a night of raining, and a great way to spend a rainy day. Wear leggings if it's cool and raining! Water shoes would be advisable, or old tennis shoes.

Its my second time coming here and even though the services of the ranch were cut off due to the pandemic, I was still able to ride horses to the waterfall nearby and enjoy of a beautiful afternoon.

Very nice place. Great to have cooler temps than in Cabarete. Room was clean and functional. Internet worked well, decent food and swimming pool. Best thing was all the activities they arrange. I only did white water rafting and horse ride to waterfall. Both were great and well organized. Prices, all inclusive, were reasonable. Highly recommend.

Good infrastructure, friendly. No A/C but given temperature at night there is no need for it either. Rooms are clean and spacious, my mattress is leaning on hard but I prefer it to too soft.

Came in for the horse ride tour and it was a neat experience since I had never ridden a horse before, I also visited the hotel restaurant and but the food was really nothing to write home about. But if you get a chance do the horse ride tour.
