Excellent sea food in Byblos (Jbeil). Warm hospitality and smiling staff. Mazets always fresh. Then you are advised to have a mixture between some traditional Sultan Ibrahim frites and grilled Lukkoz or Ajaj, which is my favourite: Ajaj is a white clean fish very delicious grilled.

Fast service, right in front of the bay. Fish is a little bit expensive though.

It was a really great experience which i had today starting with the hygiene of the place and the smell considering it is fish restaurant which was almost never there. To the selection from the fresh fish at the display which was really diverse from grouper to barracuda to sultan ibrahim and the shrimps during which our attendant was very helpful in explaining of who to cook and difference between the different types. The eating process was very sensual started with a traditional lebanese olives and zaatar dipping with bread then appetizers from fried calamari with its delicious dip, then local oysters which was average n and i don't recommend. Followed by the fattoush salad and grilled hot potatoes. Grilled octopus with butter, also the salt baked grouper is a must try. All of this was followed by the fresh fruits platter with local halawa and mollases with tahini. Overall experience was excellent.

Very disappointed...quality of food has much deteriorated since 2019. At that time is was perfect and I came twice. Fish smell weird. Service is poor and fish expensive. Frankly I don't recommend. It's a great pity.

The view is nice, but that's nature as one reviewer mentions below. Beer was warm, The food was poor quality. Fattoush doesn't have lemon and tasteless, hummus tastes like canned. Provencal shrimp tastes like frozen bags which we buy for 15 dollars. Fried fish, wasn't bad but then again what wrong can you do with that 😂? It is definitely Over-priced. Paid almost as much as Le Sushi Bar. Overall, I would rate it poorly.

The fish place next door was recommended by a friend, but as others have said, it is overpriced for Lebanon and the area. Bab el Mina is a much better choice, the service was the best and friendliest of all the places we have tried in Byblos/Jbeil, and the prices overall fair.

The location is beautiful, but food quality was average, we ordered Fried fish and rocca salad were ok, batata harra was too much oily and hard to the teeth. Also shisha was not clean we returned it.

Usually as a restaurant in touristic area staff have to be more welcomed. My feedback is based on experience in high end customer service for more than 20 years. 1- chairs and furniture are broken. 2-we had to ask the staff to clean the table Before we settle down. 3- the menu was given after we ask the staff many times. 4- timing We arrive at 4:50 pm till 5:12 pm none of the staff was bothered to ask for our order. - only one table of 13 was busy. - only 2 staff and one bar tender was In the restaurant. -And of course we left since no one of the staff approached us. To Bab al mina management, Kindly improve your service,increase your employee and I guess more useful training in customer service have to be applied. Or my advice to close the restaurant and let some investors take over to recreate the true experience that byblos deserve. Kind regards

Really inattentive service, overpriced and poor quality. The hummus and fattoush were almost inedible, the fattoush was so salty we only had about two bites. The fish was okay but took over 45 minutes. We almost didn’t even want it at that point.

Enjoyed a great lunch at Bab Al Mina. Delicious and fresh seafood. Service was spot on. Waiter very helpful. Showed me the available local fish and gave his recommendations. Quite pricey though, make sure you check the fish price before ordering (it's per kilo).

The family and I saw this restaurant online and saw how nice it looked; it was very deceiving. The atmosphere and dining area was excellent; it was very pretty and we could see the ocean. The servers were very friendly. However, the food was such a disappointment. The portion was so tiny and quite expensive. The taste was below average and quite bland. We ordered 2 of the biggest fish they had and to be honest, it could only fill two people at the most. They were so small….we also ordered fried calamari and shrimp and they were like 4 pieces in total. The Rocca salad was okay. The appetizers took about 10 minutes to come and the fish took 45 minutes. Quite disappointed to be honest. Scenery was great but the food was so so disappointing. 2 fish, 2 rocca salads, 2 small plates of fried shrimp and calamari and water was $134
