This review is strictly from a hiking and outdoors perspective, not from a music perspective. We absolutely love this park, the hiking trails are nice and well maintained. The area is absolutely spectacular with not just the amphitheater, and surrounding area. The Red Rocks Amphitheater is also amazing, you have to climb the stairs at least once, it is harder than it looks. The trading post is also worth a stop. If you see one thing, explore the amphitheater. If you have more time try out some of the hiking trails for a more in depth and serene activity. Visiting after snow is also an amazing experience.

I’m not much of a concert goer, but coming here literally had me in tears it’s so beautiful. You can come in for free when no concerts or events are happening and we got lucky enough to come in on a beautiful day when the concert that evening was doing a free run through and got to experience the magnificence of this amphitheater. All I can say is, it was borderline life changing. I will go back to a formal event here and I don’t know if any other performance venue can ever compete with this place. Also, lots of great trails around that are amazing as well. A must see!

one of the most beautiful and incredible places I have ever visited in the United States. It has a wonderful view, is 20 minutes from Denver, easy access, has parking, trails, family atmosphere, great for going with friends, family or alone. Take your camera because I guarantee you will take great photos. the energy of the place is incredible. I highly recommend it 10/10

Please don't visit Denver and not go to Red Rock Park. The rock formations, colors and the amphitheater is AMAZING!!! We walked around and was in awe of the splendor of God's work. Trust me, make some time to go and spend a few hours enjoying God's creation. We have decided we will come back, as they have great shows here. We have been told by locals we will never enjoy a show the same. The acoustics are wonderful!! They have a sunrise Easter service we were told is amazing and full.

Very beautiful place. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a show there yet, but it's worth seeing even if no one is playing.

This place was truly a sight to see. There is a trail around the Amphitheater that you can walk and there is also a Music Hall of Fame as well as gift shop. If you’re lucky enough to see a concert here you will be blown away with how magical and beautiful it is. The view from the stage into the stands is breathtaking as well as looking down onto the stage from the stands. This was definitely a magical weekend full of memories.

Nature's Grand Stage: Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Colorado is a natural wonder that seamlessly blends the beauty of nature with the magic of live music. This iconic venue is a must-visit for anyone seeking an awe-inspiring experience. The natural amphitheatre, carved out of the red sandstone, is a marvel to behold. The acoustics are second to none, creating an immersive and sonorous experience for concert-goers. The stage itself seems like a masterpiece, framed by towering rock formations that seem to reach for the sky. It's a setting that elevates any performance to a truly transcendent level. But it's not just the music that captivates at Red Rocks. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. The red-hued mountains that surround the amphitheatre provide a stunning backdrop, especially as the sun sets and paints the landscape in warm, fiery tones. It's a sight that etches itself into your memory, a reminder of the incredible beauty that the natural world has to offer. Beyond the amphitheatre, the park itself is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking trails wind through the rugged terrain, offering opportunities to explore the unique geological formations up close. Whether you're a music lover, a nature enthusiast, or both, Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre offers an experience that is bound to leave you in awe.

Wow what a venue. Was fortunate enough that my friend took me here when in the area. Just hiked area the place. Was a blast. What a unique venue. Loved that they allow you to check out the place during the day . The museum was a lot of fun so much cool stuff has gone down here over the years. Looking forward to coming back for a show.

Most memorable concert ever! I've been to many venues and this by far was the best. Make sure you are able to walk up and down hills and stairs. Our seats were actually a lot closer to the stage, but we were happy sitting in general admission up top.

Wow what a location. It's now on my bucket list of places to see a concert. With stunning views and fantastic trails for hiking. Really enjoyed watching the people exercising at the amphitheater. This place has had the the who's who in music play to the masses. Can't wait to go back.

The music envelopes your whole being...the only place to enjoy a concert...WOW! BE READY FOR LOTS OF STEPS. Spend a little for the reserved section in the 40s...worth the complete view. Come in at entrance 2 and when you see amphitheater and steps on right, park and tailgate. Easy in and out. Get there about 3 hours prior to get best parking and enjoy. If you want to visit museum then plan for more time!

Probably the best venue to catch a concert at. Really enjoyed the show I got to catch this year. I would recommend you go for an all day event. See you in Red Rocks at night is awesome. I was seated towards the front and the eighth row and the sound was great upfront so I can imagine that the sound in the back was just as good. Definitely a place that I would like to visit again

I still haven't had the pleasure of going to a concert here, but will never miss.an opportunity to walk around here during the day. If you are visiting Colorado either just Denver or driving up to the mountains for a ski or snowboard trip, take the time to go walk around Red Rocks it is truly a beautiful area. It is a free activity that you can do with the whole family while on vacation. It is the best way to go on a "hike" in Colorado if you aren't the hiking type, but would like to see some nature. There is a lot of stairs to climb, so bring some water and take your time. You will see some great natural sites, maybe some wildlife in the distance, and a view of the Denver skyline off in the distance if you make it to the top.

Nice spot for a short trip! Even without music a “must-see” when in Denver! Red Rocks Rock! Amazing views from top. You can walk around everywhere and stand on the stage and sing if you like and people will allow. So, it’s fun!

My favorite music venue in the entire world. The sound system is great and you’ll get a fantastic experience regardless of the seats you get. The amphitheater is gorgeous and you feel in nature while listening to a concert. It’s truly magical! Tips: - In the months of September and throughout fall and winter it gets chilly so bring a blanket and a heavier sweatshirt - You can bring a cushion if you’ll be there for long because you’ll be sitting on the rocks - Regardless if your seats, have the car drive you all the way up so that you don’t have to climb to the top - My favorite area to relax before and during the events are on the top. They have plenty of food, seating, and drinks. The views are amazing!

First concert at this venue and I was absolutely blown away. The beauty of the sun rising over Denver in the background, the way the music carried through the rocks, the energy of the crowd…it was all spectacular. Food, beverages and bathrooms were all on point. Be sure you’re prepared to climb steps to get from the parking lot to the venue and again to your seats…we forgot a blanket, so remember to bring one for fall shows, it was pretty cold once the sunset. Overall an amazing experience and we’ll be back.

Does it even need to be said?? Red Rocks is amazing. I'll never forget my first time visiting here, nor my first concert experience here. Amazing acoustics, there really isn't a bad seat in the house! Beware that if you are coming from lower elevation, there is a lot of walking involved, and the elevation is no joke! If you can park in the upper parking lot, there will be less uphill walking involved, but it may take a bit longer to exit after the show. Please come hydrated and take the steps slow. They will get your heart rate up more than you might think! I've seen several concerts here now and all were phenomenal! We have also attended a movie showing for Dune and it was the perfect setting and a lot of fun. People will come pretty early and tailgate/hang out in the parking lots, so feel free to do that before your show. Sometimes they have free sodas for Designated Drivers up at the top by the restaurants, which I've been grateful for! Food & drinks are pricey as usual, but have been tasty when we've gotten them. The attached restaurant is actually really good if you want dinner before your show!! (You can bring in unopened alcoholic drinks & snacks in a gallon Ziploc to most shows too, just FYI!) I'd recommend bringing a rain jacket or poncho as Morrison can get random weather, as well as a seat cushion or blankets since you will just be sitting on the hard wooden bench. I love that the incline means there is not usually anyone blocking your view!

Was visiting for the weekend and was taken here to see the snow. So pretty getting to see the contrast of the fresh snow on the red rocks and was a nice way to spend part of the day walking around the amphitheater in the snow. Haven't had a chance to visit for a show yet, but definitely recommend exploring in the snow if you have the opportunity to do so.

This gorgeous place was on my bucket list. I always wanted to come here for a concert but I didn't gte that experience the first time around. Fortunately, this place is breathtaking even in the winter. Don't hesitate to explore just because the weather isn't perfect. You won't regret it

Such an amazing place to visit and home around. The views were spectacular. There was parking nearby but it still required a bit of a hike to get to the amphitheater. We visited when there wasn't a concert or show, but you could tell that it would be an amazing place to see your favorite band. We also went hiking up Red Rocks Trail to Dalton's point to see the full moon rise over the city of Denver. It was a beautiful place. It's a good idea to bring headlamps if you're planning on night hiking. There was still some snow and ice on the trail and a few spots were a little slick. But the hike was amazing and we timed it just right to see the moon rise. It's a must see.

Beautiful venue, but lots of stairs. Be ready to get a good workout. The seats have no backs and don’t look very comfortable if you’re planning to sit for an event.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is truly a one-of-a-kind venue. The natural beauty surrounding the amphitheatre is breathtaking, and it provides an unparalleled backdrop for live performances. The acoustics are outstanding, ensuring that every concert is a memorable experience. The seating is comfortable, and there’s not a bad seat in the house. Additionally, the staff is friendly and helpful, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a music lover or just looking for a unique outdoor experience, Red Rocks is a must-visit destination!

This place is pretty awesome. I stopped by during a visit to Denver as I was keen to see it. There was no show unfortunately (definitely a bucket list worthy venue to watch a concert for the future) but there are trails to explore in the area and also run up and down the steps that make up the amphitheater - that’s is a hard slog. The views are pretty spectacular from the top. There is a mini museum that focuses on the geology as well as the various music concerts that have taken place. Worth the visit.

Absolutely stunning mountain venue that’s medium in size. You feel nestled in between the two rocks and the view of the valley is amazing. There really is no other venue on earth like Red Rocks. It’s extremely special. ✨👌✨ Cons: This venue is not ideal for those with walking issues. You will walk a lot on cement steps that are both large and small and will stand for many hours. If you have a broken leg, bad hips, a bad back, or any other alignments like that, please heal before attending a concert. It won’t be fun for you as the stairs are unavoidable. There is also very little coverage if the weather turns sour. It’s rain or shine, so plan accordingly and always bring a good rain jacket (no umbrellas allowed). I’ve stood at RR for 6 hours in the pouring rain and was absolutely soaking after the show. Not my favorite thing to do to be honest. Lastly, since the pandemic RR has become a lot more commercialized. It used to be a local venue and now it’s outnumber with tourists. Prices have skyrocketed and it’s now very crowded. Long gone are the days (2019 and before) when RR tickets used to be $40-$50 dollars and you could buy them the week of the event. Now tickets are on average $75-$150+ a piece and sell out instantly online. RIP old Red Rocks. You were fun while you lasted.

This place is worth the hype! It's quite a trek to the top if you're not used to the altitude, buy its worth it for the views. While we were there, a performer was playing in the small stage and it was kind of surreal to hear her play in that space. The amphitheater itself is amazing, but the red rocks around it are awesome inspiring. There's nothing like that east of the Mississippi. I can't wait to explore more of the west!

This was my first time in Denver Colorado. Everyone recommended this place and I will be the first to say... It was worth the visit! Such a beautiful scenery. No photo will do justice of the actual views you see in person, the views are so beautiful. Words can't even describe it completely! Highly recommend anyone to swing by and make a stop here while in Denver. Kid friendly place

The county of Denver & the city of Denver serve as stewards for this amazing park ten miles west of Denver. The park was purchased in 1927 by the city, with construction beginning in 1936 of the ampitheater, becoming open to the public in 1941. it has since been renovated and is a must see venue for your favorite acts if they have the opportunity to pass through. The space is also host to numerous work out groups and folks enjoying the outdoors. The landscape is incredibly unique and well worth the stop if in the area!

Thank you Denver Colorado for such an amazing place to visit. Did not know about this place. While in town on a business trip, my daughter suggested I look it up a take the drive. I was only expecting to drive through some rocks and go back to my hotel. Ended up spending the afternoon here, looking at the amazing scenery. Don't pass this up.

Excellent views and trails, it's a little bit icy currently but if had the correct gear or the desire/safety minded patience it's still a fine place to hike. We caught the tail end of the sunrise from the over look up at the top. After the our short hike we drove over to the visitor center and the amphitheatre which is equally impressive to wander through and probably would have been just as impressive of a viewing point for the sunrise.

Visited for less than an hour on our way to winter park from Denver. Super easy access. Offers free parking and free entrance to the venue. We visited on a Friday afternoon in mid June and it wasn’t crowded at all. There was a group of people practicing karate on which was fun to watch. The view from balcony/deck was amazing. I can’t imagine how cool would be attending a concert here on a breezy summer night. We couldn’t run the stairs yet but if you’re there and have time, just run the stairs and complete the tradition 😊

This place is really nice. The trails are cool, and the Red Rocks in which it was named look so amazing. The amphitheatre is massive, and they have a visitor center with the history of it. They also have a cool gift shop. Overall great place. If you're visiting Denver, this is a must-go.

I have lived in CO all my life, and this was my 1st time to Red Rocks. After hearing about how wonderful it is for literally years, I had great expectations. I was NOT disappointed!!! This place was even better than I had ever imagined. There was a lot of walking, but it was worth it, and I really felt like it was a part of the experience. It was a beautiful night, and I can't express how gorgeous this place truly is. I highly recommend taking in a concert here, I sure hope I will get the chance to go again.

Such a great experience. The Red Rocks look like they were just put there. Lots of walking...pretty good hike to get your steps in for sure. It is all outdoors. You want to enter from the top and go down to your seats. Most of it is Gen admission so come early to get seats. Good sound from anywhere in there. Dress for the weather and be prepared for change in weather. I would come back.

Beautiful location, setting, views and walk or hike if you want to do that. While you don’t have to walk around a lot if you don’t want to, I will say it is not super wheelchair or disability friendly. However you can still enjoy yourself and the views alone are worth making the drive. We were here on a Monday and there was a good size of people around. There was some locals that were hiking or running the stairs, and the rest of the people were tourist that were either hiking from the bottom parking or walking the stairs. The museum or visiting center was cute.

My husband and I had an amazing time experiencing red rocks for our first time during our honeymoon. Parking was easy. It is a challenge getting up the ramp to enter the venue, so be prepared to walk a bit with an incline (we are from Maryland so we were still getting used to the elevation change). The staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved their gender neutral bathrooms. The venue itself is so unique and spectacular. We had the time of our lives there. What a special experience. Thank you, red rocks!

I’ve always wanted to go to a concert here. It was winter when I visited so I just walked around the concert venue. The steps will give you a good workout! I’m glad I went because now I know past row 50 I’m going to have to stop and catch my breath LOL.

A MUST SEE!! Don't leave Denver without going to this magnificent, one of a kind venue. It's free to visit, sit and enjoy this beautiful amphitheatre. We came early, watched the crew set up for a concert that was going on that night. It's a lot of fun to watch people workout using the steps to keep fit. It's over a mile high and there's a visitor center that's very enlightening to read who performed when by year. Truly an amazing, beautiful time here. Then we headed to the little town of Morrison.

This would be an awesome place to see a concert. It was still a beautiful place to visit. Free of charge. They have plenty of bathrooms in the visitor center as well as the building in the lower parking lot. Make sure you check out the visitor center, a lot of history and interesting facts to read/see.

Absolutely outstanding location… the view is absolutely beautiful up there. But please know it’s not for the faint of heart walking up the auditorium stairs to get to the top. But when you are at the top the Visitors Center, stop there for the museum. The museum for the Amphitheater showcases the artists who have performed over the decades… great list of performers. The view is also great back there. And before you take your self off the mountain you have to stop at the shop on the way down… I can’t say it enough… the view the view the view… so good. And it doesn’t hurt to buy a souvenir to remember your trip.

We went hiking here with 7 out of shape, but highly motivated flatlanders from Nebraska. The trail was rated "easy" by all trails, but for us, it was a great challenge, and breathtaking views from the trading post trail. The snow and ice made for some treacherous descents, but we made it, and loved the trail. Can't wait to come back during the summer and see it then!

  • 5/5 Erika F. 6 months ago on Google
Saw Tyler Childers in September 2023. Tyler and the amphitheater were on my bucket list and it was 1000% an amazing experience. Sound was in good quality. It is to be noted GA tickets don’t guarantee a sitting spot, get there early, like 1 1/2- 2 hours BEFORE you can get in. Find a spot immediately and one person has to stay at all times, people will walk by constantly and ask if the spot is open. Bathrooms are far, plan accordingly and be prepared to run and go up/down a flight of stairs. This place is a must see and you have to attend an event here too!

Visited here as a young child. It was good to visit here again 30-40 years later. So much has changed. It was a much more primitive venue back then. Beautiful place for a concert and it would have nice to attend one while we were visiting. Maybe next time.

Amazing views! Free to walk around and see the venue, we went early in the day and caught a blip of the band warming up for that nights concert. The acoustics are incredible! I recommend the upper drive so you can see the arch. There’s parking near the arch but not much, but we had no issues stopping for a few pics before heading up to the amphitheater! Absolutely incredible sights. A must see while in Denver!

Best venue! Loved Josh Groban concert. Great handicap seats in row 70, great view of stage and entire area. Wonderful having great access to vendors and close bathrooms. Employees extremely helpful and concerned for all attendees. Took us longer to get there so handicap parking was taken but able to make it all work.

What can I say here that hasn’t already been said!? EPIC venue to see live music.. could arguably be the best venue in the US to see live music. Saw The Steve Miller Band - phenomenal experience and first time at Red Rocks for me. Sound was amazing, surroundings almost unmatched. Packed show, staff and services handled everything very well. Surprisingly very smooth getting in and out of venue. Awesome experience. Don’t hesitate to commit to a show here!!

Ah yes, the most spectacular amphitheater of them all. What is there to say besides stunning and beautiful views in every direction. Where else would you want to attend a live music event after you go here. Ruins everything else in the future, but that's life I guess. Come here concert or no concert it is a sight to behold!
