My wife took me to Austin’s for my birthday. It was a very excellent, amazing, and exceptional experience! The food and service was exceptional! This place is a hidden gem in Metairie. My steak was cooked to perfection, one of the best loaded potatoes I ever ate. I believe I at the skin and all🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾😂😂 Seriously it was just that good. We will definitely be back!!

This place is a hidden gem in Metairie. We go at least once a month now and have excellent service every time. Melinda at the bar is awesome - great conversationalist and makes a fantastic cocktail! We're normally "bar people" but we sat a table recently and Rocco waited on us. His timing was perfection. Ask for him when you go. Also get the lobster appetizer- it's phenomenal. Breaded and flash friend with remoulade sauce. Yum.

I was so excited for my family and I to have some free time to try Austins….new to the area. Finally….a day off. I don’t know where the people who left the rave reviews have been eating but the food I had was a one star only because I can’t leave zero stars. Smoked salmon app, Veal Austin and pork chop…..the smoked salmon was the best thing of the night….other than the tea….seriously doubt the salmon was made in-house so no credit should be given there. The contents of the app plate were somewhat confusing but excusable. The veal was a fried veal cutlet…simple….the crab topping was good but the roasted potatoes under were embarrassing…salt was needed across the board. The Maple Pork chop was cooked perfectly….the dish as a whole was a failure….rice and yams…no….neither had any redeeming qualities. I did ask for garlic mashed potatoes to replace my dirty rice….the wonderful server had to go back to get my potatoes due to the fact the kitchen disregarded my request initially…..again, no….the garlic mashed potatoes were…..hmmm….let’s just leave it at that. I only mention the $119 total because it just adds to the disappointment….the price wasn’t the issue….the disappointment in the food with a $119 check was. All of that being said…..service was AMAZING. The young ladies at the door were warm and very courteous with a smile and prompt seating. The dining room staff was equally impressive. I do regret not getting the name of our server…he went above and beyond to make our experience the best he could….my young child especially….cherries and lemons made her night….thank you. I don’t want anyone to think we hated it….we didn’t….the items we had were not good at all….even the bread brought to the table was lackluster. Austins employees were the star of the night for us….not enough to bring us back. I can excuse mediocre food because the wait staff is on point….which it was…but even a stellar staff wasn’t enough to save the food of last night.

Austin's food is great! Our service was great! The video is a take- out bowl of gumbo!! Sorry, I was unable to get pictures of the whole meal. However, everyone got a great plate of food. Hot and delicious. The table got seared tuna as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had fried green tomatoes for my meal and it was so good. We will be back!!

My husband took me here for my birthday. It was our first visit. The service was great! Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the filet and lobster with a side of a twice baked potato. The steak and lobster were cooked to perfection. It's a bit pricey, but in my opinion I think it's worth it, knowing how good the food is. We will definitely be visiting again.

Service was a little slow but our waiter was friendly.. Gumbo was good. Dirty rice and shrimp were okay. Salmon was delicious that my fiance had. Overall would give it another chance

Wonderful dining experience 👌 The food, the service, and the atmosphere were impeccable. I had the 8oz petite filet mignon, and the twice baked potato. I also ordered an old fashioned from the bar. All were amazing.

Welcome to flavor town. You may need to make a reservation if you plan to go at a peak time. Staff eere friendly and worked double time keeping our table clean with new silverware between courses. Price - we spent around 70-100 per person for all 3 courses with a glass of wine. Food - we got the spicy shrimp app, stuffed redfish (entree), seafood orleans (entree) , bananas foster cream pie and fried oreos with salted caramel icecream. Delcious, seasoned beautifully, generous portions. Even the fried oreos. I ordered them really not expecting to like them. They are fried in beignet batter and end up with a soft cake like texture. I was very pleasantly surprised.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. We have never had a bad or mediocre meal here. They always over exceeded expectations. We love this place.

Came in from Texas and had to spend my birthday dinner at Austin’s. The food is just as good as I remembered!!

If there were 6 stars, this place would get it! The food was amazing!!! Hands down, best steak in town!. Service was delightful, and the ambiance is very calm, right down to the piano player. If you're looking for a great date night or just a casual meal with friends, give Austin's a try. You will not be disappointed.

What a wonderful place to enjoy an upscale night out. Food was on point, the service was amazing. I had high expectations coming in, and they did not disappoint. If your close and looking for a great evening you will enjoy them.

From the time I walked through the door the atmosphere was warm and exciting. From the servers to the white shirts they all worked together like a well old machine. Piano man was holding it down by the bar with some great hits along with superb vocals. Then as the tone was set for a magnificent evening we were seated and treated as kings. The food actually made me grin from inside out and I left with the most pleasurable dining experience of my 46 years. Loved it and will definitely return and recommend to anyone I meet.

The steaks and lobster were exquisite. Loved the appetizer too! BUT service, not professional nor organized. And the screaming child made it fun at the end of our meal at least. Had a reservation and stood by the entrance for 10 minutes with 2 other double parties before anyone stopped to sit us. Host appears and sat us in waiting area for another 10. Get to table and wait 10 more for drinks and to order. At some point a guy not-our-waiter came to check on us then him and our waiter basically argued. The not-our-waiter was yelling and tapping guests on the shoulders. Our waiter was not great, but at least he wasn’t yelling and knew how to answer questions about the menu. The food was worth it, the service not at all.

Authentic Italian style restaurant. Great staff and great service. Appetizers were on point. Order a 12oz Filet 🥩 Medium. It was very tasty and well seasoned but cooked slightly more than I expected. I was not amazed but also not disappointed. The highlight of my night here was the cheesecake. I would say it was probably the best cheesecake that I have eaten in Louisiana. I did not like the Appetizer bread that is given free because it was just basic but hey, it was free. I would recommend this place for dinner 🍽.

First time here...we came from the Westbank to check this place out. Everything was amazing!! It was worth the trip. Food and service was amazing.

Was told by the host to sit wherever we like. As we sat we noticed she sat everyone else to their seat but not us. As for as our waiter and the food, everything was great! Nice date night! Fast, fresh food, good drinks, and lovely environment.

One of the best if not the best in the New Orleans area. The food is world class, the atmosphere is classic and the impeccable service is the icing on the cake. They treat you like family, and not the kind you want to leave. Make sure you request Eric Weinmunson as your waiter. He's the best in the business. He treated us like royalty.

I have been to Austin's twice now and each time was an excellent experience. The second time was for Valentine's Day, which was obviously busy. Regardless, the service was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Now, the food......AWESOME!!! I got the fillet and stuffed lobster and my wife got the Barbecue Twin Fillet. Both were great. The crab cakes appetizer was the best I've ever had. I only wish the portion was bigger. And finally, the White and Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake was so good we should have gotten two!
