Update the orange plate is what I made at home the next day....Save your money . Went there and got charged 20 bucks for over fried frozen seafood. I'd. Be ashamed to serve this to people, we left and paid for food we didn't eat this is how it was served

First impression, not great. Cold fries (all servings at our table) and lukewarm fish. Macaroni and cheese was also cold and dry. Our server/service was great. If we had actually received hot fresh food, the score would be different.

I like this place. I give it a 3 star do to the fact. I came in Friday and ordered the frog leg basket for $17.99 the VERY NEXT DAY my daughter and son in-law touch my wife and I there so I ordered the frog leg platter for $19.99 and it was smaller then the $17.99 I was very un happy about this. All in all though the food was good

As far as the bar goes I've always had good experiences there. Very professional bartenders, at least the ones I had. They alway made some good old fashioneds. The hushpuppies are great and the food I get is always good. Fish tacos tasted really good. Great slaw and tarter sauce. Fries were good to. And all with a great riverside view.

Loved this place! Right on the Indiana side of the river. Beautiful views. The food was good! The complimentary hush puppies are HUGE & delicious. The portions are also huge on the meals. The staff was very friendly. Will definately go here again! My son loved the balcony view with the view finders to look at the Louisville skyline and at the barges on the river!

the fried seafood platter was great! there was a wait but it was only about 30 mins on a Sunday around lunch time. got a table right by the river with a great view!

Servers and hosts are the sweetest and the food is great! Some things are a little over seasoned than others, but overall, it was delicious. And I can’t forget the hush puppies. So good

This was only $47.99 and it came with so much food!!! If you have a group of ppl get this! 3 adults ate and we still took home 5 to go boxes! They have amazing mushrooms also! This meal is called the barge.

We came in on a Tuesday morning and it was busy so service took a minute. When our server Jake came to our table, he was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the lobster tail and it was completely bland, overcooked, and just overall bad. It was charged at market price, $40. We would have no problem paying this for good lobster but we requested to have it taken off our bill. I have never done this at a resturaunt so it was a very unpleasant experience for me, especially since I'm a server. Such a waste of food. The other food we ordered was just okay- not great. Jake was super nice about the whole thing and talked to a manager to take the lobster off our bill. 2 stars because of Jake's pleasant and friendly attitude the whole time, but without him it would be one.

First time trying here. Building and dining area is a bit outdated. Our server was nice and the service was quick but food quality wasn't good. I tried fish and chips basket, the fish and shrimp didn't have any flavor and the fries were not fresh. We liked their fried corn bread.

Outstanding views on the river-be sure to ask for patio seating for the full experience. Food is fairly reasonable, you can expect your fill of seafood for about $20 per plate, The real bargain is in the shareable ”Barge” which will easily feed for hungry people for $40. It is a lot of fried fish but the catfish especially is really good.

I grew up going to all the Kingfish restaurants in the area. Today at the Jeffersonville restaurant the food was unfortunately terrible. The clam chowder I ordered was literally spoiled, there is no doubt. I could not even swallow it. The waitress responded, oh we probably need to make a new batch. My husband’s crab salad was fake crab meat…which is disappointing , but worse than that, he struggled with upset stomach by early evening. The waitress was pleasant, and we remained pleasant to her in spite of the food. My husband went to the restroom before we left, we would not have eaten there at all if he had seen the BR before we ate… it was disgusting! The urinal was black and the stench of urine was awful. As bad as a nasty old gas station BR. Clean it up and bring quality food to the table Kingfish!! Do the right thing if you care about remaining a Louisville area iconic restaurant. I gave you 2 stars ⭐️ only because the waitress wasn’t at fault. Otherwise a zero would be appropriate.

The view is gorgeous. I loved the outside seating and listening to the live band from downstairs. The food is tasty and large portions. Affordable prices. Definitely a go back again type of place.

The food was just okay, nothing special . We got the shrimp and fish. Not a lot flavor to the breading. The hush puppies were the best part of the food. They definitely need more help to. No hostess and just two waitresses to cover the whole dining room and outside. It did offer a nice riverfront seating

I've eaten at this specific location a lot throughout my life, I've eaten here for birthdays and even some events that I had family host there. The service is usually great and the food can be hit or miss depending on the time you come in. I dunno, it's like the food gets better during peak rush hours during the summer, other than that the hush puppies can come out hard to bite into and sometimes they don't season their battered items like shrimp or even their fries. But then it gets better during times when it's packed. Though, the quality has dwindled as time has gone on despite it being in a beautiful yet odd location, right on the river, you can look right out and see the Louisville skyline and if it's a particularly sunny day the river gets even prettier. Would I RECOMMEND this location for KingFish? Not necessarily, but it's one of the only legit seafood places in the area, I'd suggest it along with other choices.

Great Food at reasonable prices very clean restaurant our waitress Shyenne was friendly and helpful the band was awesome (Mad Tax Payers) I would definitely recommend but I'm sure most people have been 🙂

The view is unbelievable 😍 live 🎶 music ..also saw a few fireworks 🎆 and I already knew the food was really good 👍Not to mention..fact is the price isn't quite as bad as some other places I'd already tried without the awesome view, no music, no fireworks so it's definitely not bad for what you get because you'll definitely remember your trip if you decide to go for sure! The view alone is pretty incredible just in itself!!

We had good food and ate on the patio overlooking the river. There is mostly fried food on the menu, but they do offer some other options.

We actually didn’t dine here. We walked in on a Thursday night and requested to sit on the patio. The host seemed put off by this and then said he had a table inside now but there would be a wait for the patio. We asked how long and he couldn’t say. He said due to call ins there were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant. We appreciated the honesty really, but we decided to go elsewhere.

The staff is very friendly and the food is plentiful. If there are 3 or more in your group I recommend getting "The Barge", Frog legs, catfish, cod, popcorn shrimp, oyster paddies, shrimp, scallops, shrimp, all you can eat fries and all you can eat hush puppies. It's a lot of food, come hungry!

Very yummy food. Fried green tomatoes are great!! Generous portions.

Absolutely HORRIBLE food! Eat anywhere else! The tilapia came out gray and smelled rotten. The mac and cheese had 0 flavor. It was literally just noodles. They charged us $5 for a baked potato that was smaller than my fist. The fried tomatoes were nasty and were soaked in grease. $9 for literally 5 slices!! Our server also looked like she just got out of prison. This place is a disgrace!

I agree on the beautiful view. Servers seem very kind to their tables, hostess said sure go seat yourself… hmmm that was 20 minutes ago… loving the band on a Friday night. Walked over to the takeout to order side after 15 minutes of sitting; definitely heed the warning when you read the sign” HELP WANTED. Great frog legs and crab legs Waitress brought us tea!

The food was wonderful and the service was extremely good. The only thing that I do not understand is when did the restaurants decide to stop pushing pre bussing? Almost every restaurant I go into now days does not pre buss. The server did a very pleasing job with our drinks and everything else. The restaurant was clean and the scenery was on point. I was very happy with the visit. Will return again.

The food is amazing! Well worth the price. I am not a big seafood fan. I enjoyed a hamburger which was very good and chicken fingers which were awesome! The view by the river gorgeous too. A great place to dine and take in scenery!

Loved the seafood and the service hear. Definitely a large portion, well worth the money. When I'm in the Jefferson / Louisville area, I'll be sure to return. The clam chowder soup was delicious, and the hush puppies I'm guessing were homemade. Sitting outdoors on the upper deck patio is just what I needed to unwind. Really enjoy my dinning experience, Everytime I'm here. Did I mention Everytime.
