I have brought my family here to visit during the holidays for years! Their light displays are breathtaking! They have cozy little igloos outside, a concession stand, and a ton of places for spectacular photo opportunities. Inside, the art displays are always amazing as well and the entire museum has a welcoming and at the same time, mysterious, feeling to it. Exploring each room is one of my kids favorite parts.

Duration: 2-3 hours Parking: ample free parking in a paid parking lot surrounding the mansion; however during special exhibits you have to park along the side of the street and it can be a bit tight. Beautiful mansion home that was once owned by the family that founded Phillips gasoline stations. Today the museum is a curated collection of art ranging from native American to American landscapes European and modern. The highlight for us though was wandering the grounds in the beautiful manicured Gardens and fountains right outside the mansion. We spent about an hour in the Mansion itself viewing the permanent exhibit, and an hour and a half to two hours exploring the grounds.

Absolutely gorgeous and amazing place!! No wait at all and the tickets are surprisingly cheap for such a beautiful and large museum. Their indoor and outdoor displays are very informative and interesting, and very pleasing to the eye. The outdoor yard area was my favorite, it was peaceful and well kept, perfect place to sit and enjoy a good book.

What a wonderful place to take children! There are interactive exhibits, as well as very diverse art displays. The grounds are immaculate, as well. Highly recommend! Also, they give a veterans discount. Very cool!

Philbrook’s garden is absolutely stunning! I was taken aback at the beauty of the pristine landscaping! The inside exhibits were adequate. It may be better to visit when there’s a traveling exhibit for more variety. The gift shop is nice and well stocked! I can’t wait to come back and visit this museum!

Late September 2023 - The Philbrook Museum of Art is exceptional. I say this as someone who has seen many of the finest museums. A hidden gem in Southeast America, it's a must see in terms of its unique collection of paintings and artifacts in addition to their broad gardens, lush with exotic plants and water. If I lived here I would go all the time. Visiting Grand Lake many times, residents of the Shangra La resort, Bartlesville and simply driving through the state to get here and there for over a decade, I'm grateful for the return visit to Oklahoma, which over a week's stay brought my companion and I so many nice experiences including the Philbrook Museum.

Amazingly diverse museum. Works of art from many different time periods, regions, genre...the house itself has amazing architecture and is art in itself. The gardens have plenty to explore and there are hands on crafts and activities for children as well. Plan on being here for 3-4 hours easily and you will still feel like you haven't seen everything. I definitely plan to make another trip or two.

Great museum full of diverse art--see photos! Worth the admission fee. If you can go during the holiday season in December, be sure to go to the Holiday light show. It is spectacular! See photos.

The gardens were so beautiful. Very well maintained. The property was actually nicer than the botanical garden. Being October makes it more impressive. Wasn’t overly crowded. Peaceful and quiet. The cabin was super cool, make sure you don’t miss it.

I went over to see the new Rembrandt to Monet art show and it's excellent. The Philbrook is just a nice place overall; they have a healthy mix of different art styles plus gorgeous outdoor spaces with picnic tables, play areas and a nice long walking path. They have lots of little activity areas set up for children and an area downstairs where you can just hang out and relax. It's a nice way to spend a Sunday.

My only regret is living in the Tulsa area and never visiting this place in the 20+ years I've been here. What a hidden gem!! So much to see and do...even for kids. The outdoor gardens are absolutely magical. I wanted to become a member as soon as l walked the area today.

Enormous property, being your walking shoes. It is best enjoyed with a guided tour. We spend hours wondering around. Left me feeling like I missed something. However, we get to soak up the art, take a picture or 10. The house is lovely, I think the real treat for most is the gardens. The summer house distant have a pool and the cabin is cute. The further back in the property you go the less to see. Still spent about 4-5 hours here.

Probably my favorite museum ever, even coming from NYC I’d definitely visit Tulsa again just to visit. Amazing array of art from contemporary local artists to historical works you’d see in any other art museum. Love that there is a lot of space dedicated to Tulsa and Greenwood history and a focus on the black narrative of history and segregation. Exhibits are simple but so powerful and carefully put together. You can spend literally a few hours here exploring the garden and finding all the different swings, walking paths, sculptures, trees and flowers. There is also another smaller garden lined with picturesque landscaping and swings. To our surprise, we unexpectedly stumbled upon another exhibit in a small log cabin with beautiful stained glass windows and colorful ceiling light fixtures - probably our favorite part. Highlight: if you’re traveling or catching a flight, there is an unattended coat check room where you can leave luggage or bags. There’s also about 15 lockers for smaller bags that require a quarter (returned when you open the locker). All of our things were found safe even hours later. All staff are friendly and welcoming, also helpful over the phone.

The outdoor gardens are very quiet. It is very beautiful, feels like you’re walking into a scenic movie garden. The indoor portion also has many beautiful artistic pieces. If you know someone who enjoys these types of things I’d recommend taking them there it was definitely a 10/10 experience in my opinion. However, I did not try out kitchen 27 so I cannot review that😂. Overall I’d say everyone should go with a friend or loved one at least once

The grounds and building itself had wider artistic appeal than much of the collection. It's all individual preference at the end of the day, but I found much of the modern art kitschy and garish. The Renaissance and Native American art were a bright spot, with much of the other art being too eclectic and interpretive to hold universal appeal. If someone is only casually interested in art, there are better museums for them.

Absolutely stunning. The grounds are regal, playful and whimsical and each area is a completely different theme. The stained glass house, and victory garden were delightful. The architecture is beautiful and the historic sculptures that are part of the building are evocative. The basements pottery collection and the Egyptian room brought me back to visits to Egypt and Arizona and New Mexico’s indigenous regions. So much history and beautiful art! Highly recommend, we will be back.

The grounds, our main reason for visiting, were gorgeous. Amid sculptures are a broad variety of decorative plant life, all of it fitted expertly into a compelling landscape design. The art museum itself is housed in the stunning former home of oilman Waite Phillips, who built an Italian Renaissance style palace in the late 1920s (a wing was added in 1990 to create larger gallery space). The exhibits are a tidy mix of classic and modern. Props to the energetic people who keep this gem going.

Love the collections here! The Big Art Show has art from children and displayed beautifully. The log cabin was a treat and loves seeing a Picasso and a Matisse. I couldn't find much information about the Phillips family. That would have been nice to see that in a central place. Beautiful place.

Me and my boys ages 9 and 14yrs of age had a FANTASTIC day at Philbrook. There was so much for them to do besides looking and learning about all the beautiful artwork. Outside the grounds were amazing, swings and fun little spots along the way. Our day was a successful memory making day!!♥️

I had an absolutely stunning experience at this museum, it’s genuinely the best one I’ve been to so far! Everyone that worked there was so kind and helpful, the garden and fountains are GORGEOUS, and there was such a wide variety of art. Please come here if you’re in the area, you won’t regret it!

A beautiful exhibit as always and loved walking through the entire home for the first time. Outdoors was an amazingly beautiful wonderland and adventure in itself! Can't wait to return! A must see!

Absolutely beautiful- the grounds and the museum itself. Visited this last month for the Frida exhibit, but always love seeing my favorite pieces. Definitely worth a visit(or two or three!)

This is one of the best museums I’ve ever been too! There was so much to learn from the dark history of Oklahoma and Native American arts to uplifting Italian portraits & statues and progressive exhibition about women artists. Definitely highly recommend visiting at least once if in the area.

Loved this art gallery set in a historic house with incredible gardens. We went on a Saturday. There were high-quality art supplies, clip boards, and easels available for patron use. We had a snack from the bar. The almond croissant was exceptional. In the lower level of the gallery there is a room explaining the history of the land and house. The visiting show was an interactive art exhibit encouraging play. While the Philbrooke collections showed a diverse selection ranging from Indigenous art, to Renaissance and contemporary pieces. Including even, an original Picasso.

Such a beautiful place. It offers something for everyone to admire. I only wish I would have had more time...and that I would have placed a food order when I got there, as they closed down while I was strolling. I hope to return!

First visit to Oklahoma and so enjoyed the sense of community, inclusiveness and cultural offerings. In addition to Tulsa's numerous parks and family focused recreation venues is this amazingly beautiful museum bequeathed to the city by a industrial magnate. The art offerings are on par with big city city museums and tastefully presented. From Rembrandt to Monet. Don't miss this opportunity.

Went for the Christmas Lights show, stayed for all the amazing pieces of history within the museum. Absolutely will be returning to view again and hopefully with more time as we only stayed for about an hour.

Beautiful gardens. They are very welcoming and have programs to admit a variety of groups at a discount. Lots of kid spaces and activities both indoors and outside.

Passing through Tulsa, we decided to make a stop at this gorgeous art gallery in a beautiful historic home. Nice different style exhibits throughout the building and it was not very busy on a weekend. While I wouldn't consider myself an art expert, nor have been to many art museums, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Special and unique art museum centered around 1920s estate of oilman Waite Phillips. Gorgeous gardens, stunning Native American pottery collection, wonderful dining room and great calendar of events. I recommend it most highly.

First, I'm not a fine art aficionado, however, I do appreciate others views. The layout was better than most museums I've visited. They were able to bring ancient, European and modern American together very well. For us, we really went to tour the gardens. Since I prefer more rustic, there was plenty to be seen.

Wow! What a VERY pleasant surprise. A friend had recommended this Museum if we had ever found ourselves in the area. Well...we were in the area, and it was a wonderful two hours spent strolling through beautiful well maintained gardens on the property, and admiring wonderful art and artifacts inside this beautiful structure. It's definitely worth spending a morning or afternoon visiting. You won't be disappointed.

I was blown away. Beautiful estate/property and Philbrook is hard act to follow on museums. Lots of detail and the grounds look straight out of Italy. My favorite was the stained glass cabin & the encouragement of being a “black sheep” to go your own path with statues of sheep grazing under an old tree.Loved it!
