Uh oh. This could be habit-forming. We just moved into our new place and ordered pick up from The Fried Spot at the bottom of our hill. We got the Rockfish/Shrimp Combo w/ Mac ‘n’ Cheese. It comes with 2 lemon wedges, choice of 2 sauces (I got malt vinegar & the lemon-garlic “Jay-oli”, my husband got the homemade tartar), a fork and a napkin tucked neatly under the checkered paper. They poke holes for venting the steam in the compostable containers and give it to you in a plastic bottle-recycled eco bag! The mildly spicy Mac ‘n’ cheese was out of this world and the shrimp were *perfectly* cooked. Every detail is so well thought-out. We’re so glad to have this local gem so nearby and of course, now we have to try everything!

This place has a wonderful selection of Gluten Free food which is sometimes hard to come by for a family of gluten intolerance. Eating the chicken reminded me of my Mom and Auntie frying chicken that had been marinated in butter milk. The seasoning and crinkle cut fries reminded me of my father. These memories are special and this comfort food reminded me of good times from my childhood. Truly wonderful food and equally wonderful staff. The staff was helpful and pleasant when we didn’t know what to get.

This was my first visit. I ordered the chicken strips, shrimp, and tater tots and some the order was placed online to pickup. The total price for my order was $26.00. I remember thinking the prices were a little high and it better be worth it. As I pulled into the parking lot I could smell the seasoning. The lady that assisted me was really nice and took extra steps to help me out. The tater tots were well seasoned and had great flavor. The chicken strips were moist and had great flavor as well. The shrimp was perfect and the entire meal was more than enough. The only complaint was they mixed up one of my dipping sauces which is not a big deal and I think they should have better signs to advertise the business. Overall I was satisfied with my total experience today and will be returning.

So good! The service was great. We got two meals after returning from the beach where all the fish and chip places were closed. Luckily this one was open, and we're glad it was. We got one cod and Mac & cheese and the other was wings, rock fish and collard greens. Everything was so good. The collard greens were PERFECT. Savory and salty but not too salty, not overcooked. The Mac was amazing and the fish was great. Even my picky 6 year old ate two pieces and she NEVER wants to try anything new! So I'm impressed! Thank you, we can't wait to try something new next time!!!

I visit Portland about every six months. Came here the first time because they were open late. Came here the second time because they were absolutely delicious and the staff are super friendly. Kept coming here until my partner found out she needed to cut gluten. Now I keep coming because it's delicious, open late, and gluten free friendly. And I swear it's more delicious every time I come back!

I would recommend this place. It’s a nice little gem in Milwaukie. Service was friendly and fast. Best tots! Beautifully seasoned rockfish and shrimp. Yummy dipping sauces. Wish they offered more sides, like greens or mashed potatoes.

OM Goodness. This is up there with the best meals I’ve ever had. Shrimps so fat & sassy, chicken strips perfectly breaded and juicy. Beans so smoky and sweet. The little touches like lemon wedges - mwah! And the lemon aioli!! Fried Spot worth traveling to. If this is where you work or live, y’all got a real gem 😘👌

Having a gluten intolerance, I haven't had fried food in YEARS. This was an absolute treat! I shared the halibut/shrimp combo because it was huge! It was flavorful and delish!!!
