Kalguksu is awesome. Check out the taste of perilla seeds. Dumplings are average. Adapted from Gochujar: Perilla seed powder has a deep, earthy taste with a touch of minty, herbal flavor. The powder adds a nutty, grassy & earthy flavor to spicy Korean stews - it's quite a unique flavor.

Mega delicious! I eat here 2 times. Dumplings taste great and are soft and have nice texture. Staff is nice. There are not many things in the menu, but I think thats positive, since they can focus on their specialities. I would recommend the place.

Delicious flavourful noodle soup. We liked the dumplings a lot as well. The side of radish are also unlimited and delicious.

Reasonably priced noodle place. The knife cut noodle was really good! The soy bean noodle was a cold noodle and actually quite blend. Have yet to try the mantou which was a popular choice based on the reviews done for this place.

One of the best noodle I ever had in Korea. A must eat when you visited Hanok Village. Price considerably reasonable and it a huge bowl. Hardly finish by one person.

Famous place within Jeonju to have Kalguksu. The menu here is straightforward with only 3 items on the menu, Kalguksu, Spicy noodles and Dumplings. Went for the kalguksu and dumplings and both were great. The kalguksu here is slightly different from those you get at Seoul, where the broth here is milky instead of clear. Mandu's were nice and filled to the brim, and they have a choice of kimchi or regular. What's more the prices were really affordable.

A hidden gem in the back alley of jeonju village. Restaurant with only 4 items on the menu, 2 noodles (hot/cold) and 2 dumplings (normal meat dumpling and kimchi dumpling). Service was minimal, but fast and straight forward. staff can understand minimum English but with English/pictured menu makes ordering easy. The noodles were soft with flavourful soup. Dumpling skin is thin yet firm. A must visit when in jeonju village.

Such a great find! My sister and I both got the noodle soup and it was delicious, extra big portions as well - very reasonably priced. Staff was real quick and friendly, would definitely recommend visiting this place! Don’t forget about the dumplings (we went for the meat version).

Service is bad… because I couldn’t speak Korean, the waitress got annoyed at me and shouted “PAY NOW x 2”. Never been treated like this before, we were shocked. You are required to pay first after all the food has been served. Noodle are chewy and broth is delicious!

Dumplings are great and the soup is worth a try as well, best food in Korea so far, definitely recommend

Food was super delicious. I got the main noodle soup (hot noodle I think) along with meat mandu. Staff speaks English. They have an English menu too. Price is insanely cheap for the value of the food. Come with an empty stomach though, it’s a lot of food. For foreigners that don’t eat at Korean restaurants often, look for a drawer on the side of your table which has napkins and silverware. It is a little loud in there so if you’re looking for a fun meal out, this is the place, but it’s not quiet or cozy by any stretch.

Aromatic and delicious noodles with good sized portions. Service is fast but limited English signs or English speaking staff around. Restaurant only serves a few dishes so might not be ideal for those looking for variety.

Cozy place where you sit on the floor to eat. They don’t have so many plates but that’s the specialty of the house. You can get noodles (both cold or hot) and really good dumplings. Really good price too!

One of the best kalguksu in jeonju!! It has nutty flavour and the broth is thicker than usual which makes it unique!! Dumplings skin is super thin and delicious.

Our noodle was overcooked, the mandu was ok, you need to re-season your noodle to get a better taste. Theres two type of noodle (cold or soup) and two types of mandu (meat or kimchi)

The price is quite expensive for a noodle soup. Theres no meat. However, the taste is not bad. Probably just the seaweed laver will be nice - other seasoning was too much for my tastebite (partically cover the whole soup taste).

The noodle soup is delicious and tasty. The dumpling can be ordered mixed between meat and kimchi, which is also tasty. Recommended for authentic food in Jeonju!

Veterans are the most delicious of the many menus. And a lot ot it was impressive. The second thing that tasted good was the chewy noodles. The texture of the chewy noodles was impressive.

Noodle soup is nice. Portion is pretty huge. One bowl can eat 2person. Cold noodle is a bit too spicy for me. But after all its all good..

Service is horrible. The workers here do not care. If you’re a tourist, I would 100% avoid. Food is mediocre and it is not worth it. I rarely write reviews but this place is honestly so bad, I wanted to walk out.

Very hectic but food was excellent and they had an English menu.

Kalguksu is always different wherever you go. So its best for me to try and describe it. The soup is quite thick. Almost like an egg drop soup. It does come with egg as well as toasted sesame or maybe poppy seeds? The standard does have some powdered chili so you might want to ask them to omit that if thats not your thing. I ended up putting extra gochukaru. The noodles are more rounded like pasta noodles rather than the flat kalguksu noodles I am used to. The mandu is a smaller more juicy type that was really good too. The kimchi ones are quite spicy. Thisnplace shows up over and over on lists of best places to eat in Jeonju for a reason.

If you're a tourist visiting Jeonju, then make sure you come to this restaurant and order their famous Kalgusu noodles. The dumplings were nice too, but the noodle dish is the star of the show.
