Really beautiful place! See the old village and go to the Palace park which is next to it ;) Many Koreans there in traditional style which makes the atmosphere even nicer

A beautiful historical site at the heart of the historical old town of Jeonju. It is certainly worth a visit. Unfortunately, the Royal Portrait Museum was closed when I visited.

Had a nice short walk around this area. Too bad it was drizzling when I was there. Otherwise I would have taken more shots.

Very good place to take family photos. Ticket cost is $3. There's a photo stop along the bamboo to the small side gate.

Great UNESCO site. had a tour from a volunteer tour guide, it's free!! Very informative and interesting place. The builders had interesting architecture, with the tour giving you a better understanding of what and why with an explanation of the mysticism behind it. Free English tours are held at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 4pm. Make sure to visit the tourist information.

English speaking private tour guide explained history related to the Joseon dynasty. Even though I am not into history, the stories behind each structure were quite interesting. We had to book in advance to visit the Royal portrait museum due to the covid situation.

Suddenly got proud of walking on the palace, one of history places . Sharply surprised by old but still brighting with its grand appearance.Seem to have traveled back from the recent society to an old time where ancestors are living just now . being a person turned into an aristocrat is to realize how he he had looked out the world. .What is reality and what virtual is are very difficult to figure out in the worship. .An air seems to be touching here and there and leave a dirty but it still stronger as though it were built a couple days ago .Things ,trifle here are found to be very precious .Time coming in and out looks like a very important visiter .People meet with one another bow and talk gently in the presence of its owner who sullen, insult strict to show his aristocrat mood .Everything is weighted on condescended . They are still dreaming to be better ones All looks more confidence and got a relief when asked than hiding in the corner .There are no difficulties only to be done successfully while it stands with modesty and humble .In night in the every house hung happiness and love and enjoy floated into the the nation and full of laugh across it ha ha ha.

There are tour guides for free. And the buildings are incredible. You should visit if you want to know about a part of Korean history.

Schöner und nicht so großer Tempel. Hier ist mit Abstand am meisten los. Der Eintritt ist sehr preisgünstig.

When we visited the museum was closed but we were still able to buy tickets for a reduced fee and walk around the autumn landscape of the shrine and the buildings around the museum. Many people wore hanboks and came here to take pictures ans we did the same. I think it would have been interesting to see the shrine and the museum but I am still happy with our visit.

A good place to learn about Ancient Joseon dynasty. Houses one of the portraits from the first King of Joseon dynasty and some section for the royal records.

It’s really nice, i’d recommend going. A lot of people rent Hanboks (Traditional Korean dresses) which are around 10000₩ to 15000₩ normally, its a nice experience to enter the place with the traditional dress. Overall its very well conserved and clean, very nice. It’s cheap to enter, 3,000₩ per adult

A highlight place to visit if in Jeonju. The place is well organized and there are multiple tour run on hourly basis. We did the Gyeonggijeon place tour. Our guide John (his English name) was really informative and knowledgeable about the place and Korean history as a whole. Makes us more appreciated of every little detail of the architecture.
