Excellent service, and great food along with a well though out wine selection. You will find unique dishes here made with care! We ate here twice on a 3 day visit. Highly recommended!

Came across this place by chance on a Tuesday evening. As suggested by the name, this is definitely gourmet tapas and very different to most other places we visited in Jerez! We had an excellent meal and were pleasantly surprised by the value. The crispy pastry parcels were delicious - and don't leave without trying the dessert! The menu is a bit limited for fussy eaters, but we still managed to find items for both of us to try. I would recommend, particularly for a special occasion!

Amazing place for tapas! The dishes are full of flavour and a nice fusion of andalusian cuisine with Arabic and Asian Cuisine. The host is extremely friendly and helpful and is fluent in English in case your Spanish isn't the best.

We had the tasting menu served with sherry pairings and had a wonderful evening. Service was excellent from the owner who made us feel like we were in his own home. He is passionate about his food and explained the flavours of each dish and the sherry chosen to complement it. Highly recommended.

Very tasty food, friendly service, great sherry, nice ambiance. Probably the best dining experience in Jerez.

Lovely little tapas bar with an interesting short menu. Friendly service and good wine list. We love the beet gazpacho, falafel, kibbe, and chicken skewers. Amazing that they prepare food of such a high quality in such a tiny space.

Had a wonderful lunch here. The lady and gentleman serving us made the effort to explain each dish to us in English and warned us when certain dishes were hot.

Favourite restaurant in Jerez. The 'icecream salad' was one of the most interesting and delicious things of our whole trip. All the food was very inventive and we really enjoyed trying out everything at this restaurant. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Kino, the friendly and knowledgeable restauranteur pours his heart into every dish. He uses quality ingredients in creative ways, making for some interesting tapas and a special meal. Very romantic. Excellent selection of wines and sherries

Found this place through google maps and had one of the best dining experiences of my life. The food is exceptional, atmosphere authentic, and the service makes it a wonderful experience and a very special meal for my family. This is THE place to go when in Perez.

Everything here was just fantastic. From accomodating service (great drink recommendations - craft beer & semi-dry sherry) to delicious tapas. Highly recommended. I will be be back.

I arrived grumpy and left content. The owner is welcoming and clearly passionate about finding the best produce and serving creative dishes. Everything we ate was excellent but the stand out dishes were smoked sardine and “the crunchy ones”. The house Amontillado was delicious. Highly recommended. You wont regret eating here.

Best tapas experience I've had: dishes are a spin on the classics - every single one was amazing! Ordered the meatballs, chicken skewers, kibbeh and the fries. Their drinks menu is also quite varied, including the local sherry and artisanal beers from other provinces. Service is extra friendly - it's a family-run restaurant and it shows: we felt very welcome and well taken care of! Portions are on the smaller side and prices are a bit high, compared to most tapas places. But I guess the focus is on the experience, no the scale.

Absolutely wonderful gourmet experience at this unpretentious local restaurant in the Mamelón district. Joaquín and staff provided us with excellent recommendations and superb service.

Well, what a find! If your here in Jerez because you want to get away from the usual touristo spain then you must find time to visit Tabankino. Our second visit after being so impressed first time round. Kino, the owner, chef and host is so invested in his restaurant you can't fail to feel his passion and love for his country's cuisine ,wine and sherry . First time we found the restaurant, we were in the area and was lucky to get a table late on Thursday night. We booked again for a Monday, again its was full by 9.00,on a Monday! Clientele was a mixture from across Europe and the US, with plenty of locals, always a good sign! The menu offers different size portions, my recommendation would be a sharing tapas approach first time round ,we went for the 49€ each pairing menu of 4 dishes and 4 sherry's or wines, excellent with kinos knowledge and explanations, a truly spainish experience! Please don't be put off by the 49€ , our first visit including water and a lovely vino blanco semi dolce was only 48€ for 2 . Typical old barn setting, only 20 or so covers, a wonderful and memorable spainish food and drink experience ! A suggestion would be some live spainish guitar music to really top it off. Thanks Kino and team!

This is an excellent bar + restaurant! We set at the bar, in front of us "Kino" the owner with his chef, a young spanish lady, and enjoyed one of our best meals in Spain so far. It was not only the good quality of food, but the friendly and entertaining character of "Kino" who advised us perfectly in choosing his best tapas and beverages which made this event unforgettable. So if you want to have fun as we had - let him do his job and follow him. Food is an interesting mixture of spanish basic components combined with asiatic elements - we think it is worth 5 from 5 stars.

Called Idolos 15! Note the address. The only thing that isn't terrific about the place is, that it is a bit out of the way. But, it is wonderful and fun tapas bar. The service was first class, friendly and helpful (we speak very little Spanish). As in most tapas bars there is lots to choose from. Don't miss the Albongas, Papas Gladiator, Ravioli and croquetas. The owner recommeneded a wine that was great and the young waiter suggested we have a different one a as a second bottle. Good advice. Both wines were perfect. My favourite of all the bars we visited in Jared (and they were all excellent). BUT Tabankino will be a an unforgettable evening.

The top quality of food (both taste and presentation), impeccable service (friendly, family-like touch) and passion in all they do to the smallest detail...it is something I haven't experienced in a while. If you are ever in Jerez, give it a try! It's a lovely place and you will not be disappointed.
