👍👍 Trending in the right direction to be the Thai staple in downtown JC. I’ve ate here probably 6 times split between takeout and dine in. With their grand opening things did started a little rough where service was poor and food was just alright. They were definitely under staffed and it was probably... Trending in the right direction to be the Thai staple in downtown JC. I’ve ate here probably 6 times split between takeout and dine in. With their grand opening things did started a little rough where service was poor and food was just alright. They were definitely under staffed and it was probably hard to hire. It looks like they’ve worked out their new restaurant pains. The last two times I ate there, the food is much better with more flavor. The service has also improved. I like every dish since then and am really enjoying this restaurant. Many of their specials are amazing especially the fried catfish salad and fried pork dish. I am also digging the papaya salad. I hope this trend continues and the quality continues to improve to a similar status like the Wondee Siam location in nyc.

I'm a newbie to Grove Street, so can't do any comparisons. I was walking around looking for the place I am going to and said, "Ooh, Thai!" when I passed by. After I located my destination, I came back. It was pretty empty (about 5pm on Tuesday). They sat me down at a table for two and automatically provided me with a Ball jar of water. I checked out the menu for about 2 minutes, put it down, and a waitress came right away. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai (I always order the chicken Pad Thai at Thai restaurants). It was maybe another 3 minutes before my plate hit the table. The food is very moist, appearing freshly made and not dry as it would be if it was sitting around for awhile. The chicken is not overcooked as I find in many Thai restaurants. They provided a slice of lime, and extra slices as requested. They also brought me chopsticks, because it seems like a sin or disrespect to eat Asian food without them. The size of the plate was big, but small enough to finish in one sitting without appetizers. In terms of ambience, there are a series of lanterns hanging from the ceiling, with decent Floral and ethnic decorations on some shelves on one side. There is one very long booth chair that spans an entire side of the restaurant. All of those tables are two person tables. The other tables seat four. It is clear that some of the tables could be combined to seat more. There are also some chairs at the bar, although I don't see any alcohol. You hear what I assume is Thai R&B style music playing. The volume is mid-high, but low enough to have a pleasant conversation with your guests. If I wanted a romantic night out, this would be a great place.

The next big Thai spot in Jersey City! I went with 4 friends and each of us loved our meal. The duck gra pow was cooked really well and had tons of taste to it. The curry puffs were incredible and the Thai spring rolls had a perfect flakiness to it. The ambiance is also really cool. They decorated simply but with purpose, and they have really cool wooden chairs. Also, you can’t beat this location!!!

This is our new favorite Thai place in Jersey City! Having thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at its sister location (Wondee Siam) in Hells Kitchen, we came to this restaurant with high expectations. Needless to say, One Dee Siam did not disappoint. The Thai Iced Tea was refreshing and not very sweet. Some of the dishes we had tried from the other place (e.g. Larb Gai, Minced Basil Chicken) were as good as we had remembered. The Curry Puffs were also very delicious. The Go Chai was a definite highlight and unlike anything we have tried at a Thai place before. The Penang Curry and Kee Mao were other dishes that we greatly enjoyed and quickly devoured. Pro tip while ordering: The rice with each entree are small, individual sized portions and the entree portions may also feel small if you are sharing among a group of 4. I'd recommend asking for extra rice and also checking with the server whether the amount you're ordering is sufficient. We ended up ordering an extra entree and an extra portion of rice after our initial order. The service is exceptionally quick though, and we didn't have to wait much at all. All in all, we had a lovely time and look forward to being back for more!

The sweet and sour flavor of the house noodle soup was spot on. I enjoyed the egg noodle because it’s hard, and they have other kinds as well. The seafood could do better - the squid was too chewy and the shrimp tasted like the frozen ones that you defrost and boil.

Lovely venue with delicious vegan options. We got the crispy tofu and Thai spring rolls for appetizer and a vegetable cashew nut. It was delicious! Veggies were fresh (unfortunately there are places into frozen stuff) and sauce was flavorful. Will get back to try more options

One Dee Siam in Jersey city has excellent quality food and good portions per plate. The only downside is the slightly longer wait time between your orders. The service is a bit slow. The restaurant is clean though and the servers are really nice. I highly recommend trying this place if you don't mind waiting a bit for your food. Strongly recommend - 1. Thai basil entree with your choice of meat 2. Pad gra pow from the speciality menu 3. Thai iced tea

Great tasting food. Best to visit for lunch time though. The dinner wave is a bit too crowded and the tables are way too close to one another. Over priced menu items fill the selections. $18 for fried rice is crazy. Regardless tho, the food tastes great. Highly recommend the drunken noodles as well.

A good addition to the dining scene in JC. nice interior. Good lighting. Spacious. Friendly staff. Flavorful dishes. The Thai iced tea is on point and a must have with your meal especially if you order something spicy. I ordered a dish called Two buddies which are shrimp and scallops with vegetables. Really good. The other Dushanbe was disappointing which was the crispy pork. It was too crispy. We think it was over cooked and dried. We do not recommend this dish. I’m giving it 4 stars because it is a good restaurant. It is different (not Italian and not Mexican/tacos). More variety and diversity is needed in JC.

I loved the food here. I have been hunting for a cozy Thai place in grove which serves the perfect chilli sauce and the minced basil chicken. This one definitely lives upto my expectation. My husband is a vegetarian and vegetarian food was really good.He tried the pineapple fried rice and it was great. I enjoyed dining at this place. We also ordered the Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee , both were good

I recently dined at One Dee Siam on Grove Street in Jersey City and had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We started our meal with the chive pancakes and fried tofu, both of which were delicious. The chive pancakes were perfectly crispy, and the fried tofu had a delightful texture. As for the main course, we ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and the cashew nut entree. The flavors in both dishes were outstanding, and the portion sizes were generous. One thing that impressed us was how quick the service was. Despite the restaurant being busy, our food arrived promptly, allowing us to enjoy a satisfying and efficient dinner. Overall, I highly recommend One Dee Siam for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. The food is not only tasty but also beautifully presented. The service is top-notch, and the speed of service ensures a seamless dining experience. It's definitely a place I'll be returning to for more flavorful and enjoyable meals.

Tried Masamaan Curry, Crispy Rolls, Chicken soup. Masamaan curry was average and bland. Spring roll was good and crisp.

pretty good my bf and i got the tom yum soft tofu soup- pretty yummy! not very lemongrass-y as i thought it would be. we got the papaya salad medium spicy (has shrimp) and it was very tasty. got the wings and i prob wont order again. they didn't have any seasoning or sauce, sauce was on the side. i would've wanted sauce on the wings. the wings were bland without the sauce. got veggie green curry, it was fine. not bad at all but nothing out of this world either. will prob try the red curry next time. my bf got fried tofu pad thai and that was prob my favorite. very flavorful. tofu was cool while the pad thai was very hot. waiters were nice and very busy.

Ok, first of all appetizer (Kanom Jeem) was 5 stars. Expectations were set, then they crashed. Something was missing, it didn't feel like effort was completely there. Menu shows that fried rice comes with half pineapple, but it does not. Spicy curry was spicy but not flavorful. Could be one off day, there were multiple offs that day for sure.

Ate there a few weeks ago. Had the Rad Na. It was excellent. It was cold and the meal reminded me of a Raman bowl. My friend had the drunken noodles and liked them also, although it was spicy, even though the menu only said mild. My food was just the right amount of spice and the shrimp was excellent also. Big and succulent. I highly recommend this place.

We had such a great meal at One Dee Siam! The Pad See Ew was flavorful and hot. The service was quick and there was no wait, and everyone was so attentive and kind. I can’t wait to come back!!

Went as a party of 2 on a Tuesday summer evening. The place wasn't too crowded but wasn't empty either. The food was amazing and they had great vegetarian options. The Thai tea was was refreshing. The portion size is huge for a single person so I would recommend not ordering too much upfront!

The special crab meat with powder curry is delicious. But other dishes didn’t reach expectations. For both two duck dishes the duck is very dry. And pls notice that the given suggested tips is calculated based on AFTER TAX total price which is a very dishonest act for restaurants.

Waited in store over an hour for a DoorDash pickup order that the app said was ready 40 mins ago. The people working there kept telling me it’s coming, and in the end a lady came to me and said there was an issue with the “printer” and they missed my order. Clearly the other people were lying. The lady offered me a Thai iced tea as a token of compensation. Also, just a note on their food - they put too much sugar in every dish.
