This review is written on behalf of my friend who waited a month to cut her hair with the owner at Big & Skinny. She brought in a photo and was told by the owner that the style was achievable only with a perm and cut. So she decided to listen to the owner. Big mistake. Several hours later, she emerged with a completely different style than promised. Layers were choppy and didn't blend with the rest of the hair. I had to write this review for her because she was too upset to share what happened to her at Big & Skinny. She was working on 5 other clients at the same time....not sure why.

what the heck! i gave this place more than 4 chances and i cried after my haircut eveyrtume. this time was the worst.. so upset. my bangs were cut too short. looks worse than if i cut them at home.

I am really disappointed with the customer service of this salon. My mom and I have been coming here for about 10 years now. I love the haircuts I received by the owner and received many compliments every time I got it done. I loved it so much that I wanted to hire her for my wedding. Given that my mom has a personal relationship with her, we expected at least a response. She reached out to her several times and either she stated that she would look into the date, or just simply ignore her all together. My mother continued to go there throughout the pandemic even though she was an hour away and the prices significantly increased. There seems to be no customer loyalty. As much as I loved this place, we will not be returning. I am giving them 3 stars to be fair. The haircuts are great but the service is not.

Unfortunately, there are a dearth of good Korean salons in the area...I went to Big and Skinny three times to give it enough chances. Got my hair done by the owner, it was okay...but comparatively expensive. Second time was satisfactory...the third time was terrible. Choppy, lazy haircut. Lobs of hair left untouched, and I got it colored...it came out so much redder than intended. The guy said "it couldn't be helped" because I have Korean hair....what an excuse. AND I got charged for color and cut when he didn't put ANY effort into cutting my hair..I don't have long hair, so usually they include cut with color. Will not be returning.

Amazing! Super nice staff and Covid safe. They made their own custom mask so it doesn’t get in the way of the hair/ear. Cindy was my stylist and she is incredible. Coming out of quarantine I’m attempting to let my gray grow, so instead of color, I did a keratin treatment and a hair cut. No judgement, and just great work.

Joo is great. I think that’s how to spell her name. I have very thick hair but no snarky comments. She asks specific questions to figure out what style you want and spent a long time layering it. It turned out great and easy to maintain. Olivia is also great. I didn’t have a lot of opinion on what to do with my hair and she layered it perfectly. My hair looked healthier and she styled it just the way I like without knowing. The hairwashing experience here is also good and felt like a mini spa experience.

2nd floor. Parking bad. Street parking only.They were in edgewater and moved to fortlee. Only Miss "noh" is pretty good.. Too pricy
