My 1st time to visit beautifully and well thought out design and location. Picked up breakfast at 9:30 am and sat in amazingly comfy clean beach chairs with plentiful umbrellas for beach shade but also, if you want, trees over well maintained patio sections, or lovely fresh green grass kept not too long to eagerly cushion a blanketed picnic space. So much was completely available. Wonderful way to experience the barefoot vibe. Sand was so much fun, we enjoyed sharing beach toys with other families and little children played and played peaceful. Adults were calm and smiling. Loved fresh smelling water spigot for rinsing off sandy feet. You'll thank yourself for going.

A very nice little park near both Hoboken and Newport PATH stations. There's grass, shrubs, benches, and a small (synthetic) beach with real sand. The views over Manhattan are amazing, especially at sunrise, and you're a short walk to Liberty State Park with great views of the statue. I visited as park of the Newport Liberty Half Marathon in 2022, and this was a great starting point for what was a awesome race! Kudos to the NYCRUNS team!

Our kids enjoyed a sample of the playground because sadly it started to pour and thunder! But great spot for a day with the kids .....beautiful waterside view for pictures with family or friends! Definitely going back loved the playground for them and the little area of sand and chairs that made you feel as you on the beach! ๐Ÿ˜Š

It's a nice park for the kids. The one thing that was disappointing was the day it was like 90 degrees. The sprinkler was not on. ๐ŸฅตThe kids were so upset and hot..lol

The park is located next to the river front. Has a good landscaping and is a big arena. Lots of people during the evening hang out here. Regular events are organised by Newport management for the residents. A fun place for family. There are food carts outside the park for quick bite - most of the days. Target is a quick couple of mins walk away.

This park is great for all ages. There are different climbing things for different ages/sizes. The one for bigger kids has a huge step at the start so no little one will be able to go by themselves. During summer the splash area is really fun. I bring my son there since he was about 10 months, and we still like it a lot

Great park for the kids to play in. The playground is modern and spacious. The splash pad entertained dozens of kids while we were there, and the merry go round only costs a buck a ride. Such a cool place for kids in the middle of an urban jungle. We loved it! Bathrooms are across the street.

So cute! Safe and fun! This great park has plenty of space and shade and the water feature is sure to be fun for everyone! They also have a carousel thatโ€™s one $1 to ride! The views are beautiful. Be careful of traffic though- I have witnessed people speeding down the nearby streets. They have shaded tables, a pirate ship, swings, a splash pad, soft bouncy floors, and a ton of climbing apparatus. Good for all ages!

The rules here are forced extremely inconsistently. Iโ€™ve been playing sports here since 2015 and sometimes itโ€™s โ€œallowedโ€ and sometimes โ€œstrictly not allowedโ€ and sometimes โ€œyou can play as long as no cleatsโ€. The park and the area is owned and managed privately and it looks like you can only enjoy this place discretely when they think things are allowed. I see they boot lock cars around the park as well only after a few minutes of expiration. So in general itโ€™s a nice park but itโ€™s not a free one, physically or mentally.

I really enjoy coming here. It's nice for all ages. They have a small carousel, nice playground with sprinklers, and box, grass area to enjoy as well as a beach with lounge chairs and a view of the Manhattan skyline. My boys and I like to play ping pong on the built-in ping pong table. Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Heaven for kids !! Park, splash park, carousel ๐ŸŽ ๐ŸŽ  and Italian ice cream right next to carousel !! There is also a "sandy beach" next to the park. Maximum you can park your car near the park is 2 hours.

My son loves crawling away on The Oval, an almost football sized oval shape fake grass area that kids can play in and grown ups can sit on a la picnic style, under the sun. It's like a mini version of the central park main lawn that you see in so many pictures- but nicer because almond the edges of the oval are pathways and benches that DO have trees for shade. You can hang around IN the oval, or sit of the benches watching your kids play. Or you can sit under the trees next to and behind the benches, where the grass is real and the air feels cooler. The amazing thing about this oval is that behind those benches and trees, there are carefully landscape little hidden paths beautifully landscaped with bushes and MANY, MANY flower bushes. In the spring, these paths were lined with beautiful roses among other flowers and I retesting looking plants. Now that the summer heat has withered the roses away, you can find more resilient flowers like daisies, by the bunches, planted all over. You can tell a lot of thought, planning, collaboration and expertise was put into the planning of this area. This area around the oval is then attached to pathways that lead to a sprinkler park for children like no other; with so many types of sprinklers and water works that my toddler was watching the water works and kids play for an hour. A beautiful carousel is right across the gate to the sprinkler park and playground (the sprinkler area is within the kids playground). If you walk a bit further, past the playground, in 3-5 mins you'll be at the little sand beach overlooking the boardwalk and the water. Best planned park ive ever been to; so much to do in such a small area.

This park offers a range of amenities for all ages. Kids will love the carousel, while the small beach area with chairs and umbrellas provides a relaxing spot to soak up the sun. During the summer, the amphitheater hosts movie nights and plays, adding entertainment to the park. With its spacious layout, the park is ideal for families and friends to gather and enjoy picnics together. It's a wonderful destination to spend quality time outdoors and create lasting memories.

Best park for kids and family. Very well planned. Four sections: 1. Artificial beach with seating arrangements on bank of river, right on board walk, very safe. 2. Splash park for free. 3. Playing Area of kids of all ages. 4. Relaxing area or picnic area with wonderful surroundings. You can also play some sports there. Our family favourite spot for summer.

Nice and friendly park for kids. Park does have small water park where kids can enjoy and parents could have coffee/breakfast from near place. Easy access. Parking is usually available compared to other parks.

I couldn't get pictures but this park is nice, with a beach by the side. The NY views from this park are great. The play area itself is well guarded from the open areas, so it's safe for little kids to be on their own while moms get some screen time. ;)

Nice park in the between cool looking buildings and a waterfront view of NYC. The kids playground has many installations and there's a little beach and a carousel too.
