This place is the embodiment of “hidden gem”, but one could argue that it’s location is anything but hidden. Nestled off of JFK Blvd in the heights, this place checks all the boxes: great location, outstanding s quality food, diverse menu, great seating options, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Their brunch menu is out of this world, the cocktails are refreshing and unique, and the portions are just right. I’ve been here a dozen times and never had a meal I didn’t enjoy. It’s worst quality is also a hidden strength; the price point. While some argue that it’s very expensive, I like to point out the fact that they are almost always busy shows that the neighborhood and surrounding areas are making enough disposable income to patronage an establishment as great as this one. I would agree that it’s definitely not cheap, but you won’t feel ripped off when see the all around quality. Love this place.

Funny thing about this place, I was actually looking for The Archer but for the weirdest reason, their kitchen closes at 10pm, boooooooo. I googled the next location. The food here is AMAZING. We had a white sangria which faded really nice. The spicy onion rings were standard but what separates them from other places is that the batter stayed together. We had the Ricotta Gnocchi. The SAUCE tho! I kept dipping my fries in it. The real star of the show was the 8oz Filet Mignon! This piece of perfection was cooked to a standard I haven't yet tasted anywhere else! I'd put it at the top of my most favorite steaks of all time followed by my own recipe at a close second. The pricing was fair and the server was great and attentive, the perfect blend of 'making sure you're ok' and 'let me leave these guys alone to enjoy their night'. Highly recommend!

So I went to meet a friend that works in JC here, he was suppose to treat wifey and I...HE CANCELLED!! Thank Jay🤣🤣 We decided to go anyway. Upon arrival I see its NOT what I expcected, its more of a local bar with patio seating added. We get seated quickly, but then forgot about. After a photo session and convo our server comes over and apologizes to us and explains they are short on staff that day. Ok, no worries, we aren't in a rush. Drinks and apps order taken and away she goes. I got the spicy onion rings and jerk fried calamari to start with a glass of persecco for wifey and a mojito for me. The drinks came out quickly, they were decent, but the food took a while. We got our apps annnnnnd, not impressed. Calamari was salty and onion rings had WAY too much batter on them. So we talked about leaving but decided to stay. Wifey got chicken wings and I got the Hutton burger. Food came out quicker this time and YES...Jackpot!!! My burger was delicious! The wings were good as well. You can draw your own conclusion on this place. Tee, thank you for serving us and keeping a smile in all the chaos.

I recently had my bridal shower here and it was beautiful! We used the space in the back and it was perfect! There was a cool brick wall and greenery which I loved! Planning the event was stress free because Jennifer, the event coordinator was very responsive, organized and made sure the event ran smoothly! All of the staff at The Hutton were super helpful and kind! They helped us clean up and put items back in our cars. The food, specially the yummy brunch was very tasty! I am excited to eat here again soon! It’s now a very sentimental spot for my family!

Excellent service from Jennifer and her team at The Hutton. They personally saw to it that all of my concerns were addressed and were honest and open to feedback and suggestions making adjustments as needed to provide the best customer experience. Pro-tip: Absolutely order the cauliflower ( vegetarian friendly 'wings'). They come in either a buffalo sauce or a honey ginger sauce. I had the honey ginger version and it had the perfect texture, temperature, and flavor. Would order again!

The Hutton is the best! The food is great, the staff is nice, and the covered outdoor dining area is perfect for a fun night out of dinner or drinks. I had the Fried Chicken Naan Sandwich. It was delicious, especially because it was topped with tasty street corn that added tons of flavor. The sandwich being on naan was a fun twist to a classic chicken sandwich. We will definitely be coming back, whether it’s for dinner or just drinks!

Ran into this neighborhood bar and grill by accident and loved it! The inion rings were amazing and burger also outstanding. The donuts were fresh out of the oven and very tasty with gelato! Must stop by and check this spot out when in the Heights!

We went to Hutton for weekend lunch. We walked through their huge bar area to the patio. Its a wonderful outdoor area, covered with glass, so you still get to enjoy the sun and nature, without getting disrupted by rain or wind. We found out that they only serve brunch menu on weekends lunch hours. Dinner menu starts in the afternoon. We ordered several items. We loved the hangover sandwich, french toast (drenched in syrup), and the wings were the best! Sadly the dish I was looking forward the most, the naan sandwich was disappointing. It had a strong taste of turmeric, the huge breast piece didn’t really fit into the naan, I’d have preferred it to be chopped. The chicken was also dry, due to slightly overcooked. It is a relatively expensive restaurant, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. Won’t mind stop by again for family meal if we are in the area.

I hosted a Studio Ghibli-themed baby shower at The Hutton and their Events Team was lovely to work with! They were fantastic communicators, extremely flexible, and worked tirelessly to make the event a great success -- helping me with a multitude of tasks including planning the layout, creating custom allergy cards for our guests, setting up, and even printing custom menus! Their charcuterie boards are incredible and the covered patio space was quite private. Definitely the best venue I've ever worked with, and on top of that, their event prices were the best I found!

I must say this place was amazing. From the food to the waiter (Manuel). He was out of this world! Super attentive and personable, he gave a recommendation on what to eat and drink and it was amazing. Definitely will be going back.

Great vibe away from the hustle of downtown. The waitress and the service is what made my experience stand out tbf. The cocktail drinks were below average. I would stick to beer and honestly the vibe is more sporty so I should have gone for beer. We ordered the chicken wrap and bao buns and chicken wings. Chicken wrap and bao buns were great but wings were average.

Appreciate what they have done with the ambiance. Tables are spacious as they are hosted in an large old shed with radiative heaters above. Had a OK bottle of wine recommended by the waiter, it was $55 for a twist open red blend which was one of the less expensive ones (corked wines are better). Onion rings and the side of sauce was exceptional. They have couple entree dish which I believe is curated for India vegetarian demographics that live in the area. Filet minion was up to the mark. In addition to dining area, they also have a cozy bar area with not extravagant but OK selection of local beers. Will recommend this place for 'occasion' dinners

The patio out back is very large and very cute. Even on a very hot day it want too bad. I'd imagine it's even cuter at night. My second visit here and the staff is very friendly. The food is good. (The portions are sort of enormous.) And the drinks are always good.

The Hutton is a hidden gem with a great atmosphere, excellent service, and best food. They hosted a birthday party for my husband for 18 people and they were wonderful. From the booking to bringing out the birthday cake, they were extremely accommodating, and you can tell that they are intentional with their food. 10/10!!! Thank you to all the servers and Blair and Ian for making this party happen :)

I enjoyed the food ! Ordered a burger and kept it simple. The Biergarten in the back is cool . All around memorable? Location? It’s a little out of the way, tucked behind an ear somewhere. **add on +1 for the DRIVEBY (ask the bartender with the piercing about it) & the maple bourbon drink. They’re all pretty strong but, that drive by is tasty as well !

My soror and I met up for brunch at this spot. I made reservations for 1pm and when I arrived the parking was a little tough. I eventually found one and headed in. There was patio and indoor seating. We were served by Manny and he was awesome. He said he was new but you really couldn't tell. For our entrées I got the chicken naan sandwich and it was pretty good. My friend got the steak and eggs amd forgot to tell them to scramble them. They were good with sending scrambled eggs asap. She enjoyed her meal too. The bill came to about $56 and we had a good experience.

The entire restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays, creating a warm and cheerful ambiance. Seasonal cocktails added an extra touch of festivity to the celebration. We fell in love with the restaurant's aesthetics, especially the enclosed patio with rear brick and a stunning large tree. The setting was not only festive but also uniquely charming. The staff at The Hutton were outstanding—friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive. Their service significantly contributed to the overall positive atmosphere. We sampled the calamari, onion rings, and chicken wings, and each dish was delicious. The standout was undoubtedly the onion rings, which were generously sized and had everyone at the party raving. I heard equally glowing reviews about the chicken sandwich, burger, and steak. Additionally, the seasonal cocktails are a delightful treat that adds to the overall experience. The beverage menu caters to all tastes, offering top-shelf liquor and everyday standards. The quality of both food and drinks was on par with downtown Jersey City and Hoboken, yet the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Overall, The Hutton exceeded our expectations in every aspect, and we highly recommend it for a festive gathering or any dining occasion. We'll definitely be returning for more of those amazing onion rings and seasonal cocktails!

Had the buttermilk sandwich and it was such disappointment.. the fried chicken as you can see in the picture is so dry it crumbles.. the idea is great here but that chicken is just pure disappointment. Other than that, the place is cute and the service is nice. But I’m also here for the food, and the food disappoint me more than my paycheck after tax

Everything was good except their auto gratuity. They have an auto gratuity of 20% which we felt it was not right. We were only 3 persons. They haven't mentioned any where that they have an auto deduction of gratuity. Coming to the food options , the food was wonderful. Chicken wings with Valentina hot sauce is wonderful and must try.

The brunch was delicious, very good french toast with caramel bourbon sauce and espresso ice cream. The grilled cheese was on sourdough which made the sandwich. Have been for dinner as well, and love the atmosphere. They also have a patio that has heaters if it's cold.

I had nausea after eating fried chicken naan sandwich here. The sauce was overly garlicky.

Karen B. was wonderful this afternoon! We stopped in for brunch and the host was accommodating of my service dog. After seating, they offered water to all three of us and were very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this establish and encourage all other to partake in delightful, well-balanced meals of great proportion, as well as the excellent service. Thank you everyone; we will be back! :)

Visited around Christmas for Drinks and a quick bite, and had a pretty good time. Cocktails options were interesting and the ones we tried were quite strong. We just had appetizers but tasted good. Atmosphere was nice too and the staff were friendly. My only complaint would be that the person who served didn't seem very knowledgeable about the drinks served, and they also seemed to be confused when we asked about the sauces served with the appetizers. Not a big deal really - maybe the person who served us was new. Would definitely recommend

We came here for dinner. Staff and atmosphere was great. The food was good. We ordered the jerk calamari, not a fan of it. Skirt steak was okay, cooked past medium rare as ordered but still tender and juicy. Naan chicken sandwich was delicious and highly recommend. Baked chicken was pretty good. The chicken wings were good. The ice cream desert was good too.

We ordered the chicken platter and the chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich is hard to eat with the type of bread that they provide so I just ate it without the bread. But I enjoyed the fluffiness/crispiness of the chicken. The service is great and very friendly. However, the mojito I would not order again wasn't my favorite.

I’ve passed this place 1000x’s, finally stopped in. I didn’t try the food but the margaritas are awesome! They make them fresh, lemon and lime juice the bartender told me! Best margarita I ever had. No after taste, no sugar, no heartburn. I hope in the summer they make them frozen! I’ll def be back!
