This place is really just a bar, don’t go in here trying to get fancy food or food that you Have high expectations on LOL. Go here for the drinks and a good time! During Covid though I don’t think there’s dine in.. seemed like just the workers and customers grabbing take out. Drinks are SHHHHHTRONNNNGGGG!!! Like you definitely will be feeling nice after a 32oz drink, if you wanna be lit just drink two of them and you’re good to go!! I have tried at least 6 different drinks and they have all been good, just look at the ingredients and see if you like what it’s mixed with and you should be good to go!

Honestly, the best food, great energy, wonderful atmosphere. The owner is always around and helpful, Manny is my favorite bartender. I've been visiting this place for over a decade, and I must say I love it the way it is. The place has some real character in and outside. If you have time, stop by and give em a try.

Great experience yesterday at ringside I got to see Mike Tyson. There drinks are definitely worth the price cert strong and great food.

The only reason why I gave one star is because there was no option to give ZERO! First I want to mention how rude and unprofessional the staff is. I walked in at around 8:20 and when I asked one of the bartenders if I could sit in the back he answered yes and pointed to the back. I proceeded to go to the back and sat at an available table for twenty minutes. as I waited expecting for a waitress to hand me a menu I noticed there was one waitress who was serving another table , glanced at me briefly then proceeded to go to the bar without even greeting me or even asking if I even wanted a menu. So after sitting for nearly 25 minutes I made my way to the bar and asked if I was ever going to receive a menu. One of the bartenders informed me that the back seating area was closed. So I asked in confusion why was that not mentioned to me upon entering, she then asked me who told me that I can be seated back there because the seating area closes at 8:30pm. Then when informed of the bartender that decided to give me the erroneous information she then yelled and asked if he was going to serve me. He answered her by shaking his head “NO”. No apology for having me waste my time or anything. I felt embarrassed and upset and confused as to why I was told that I could be seated when in fact I couldn’t . I would never come back to this place ever I don’t care if they were giving out food and drinks for free!

The food is served with generous proportions. Very tasty. And at unbeatable prices. They also offer half servings of plates if the dishes are too large. Drinks are served in Chinese ice tea pints plastics and there are SO many different choices to choose from. Also great pricing for the amount of alcohol. Had the pepper chicken with yellow rice and red beans. Chicken was moist and very tasty. Rice was perfect. Beans were large red kidney beans and were good as well. The drink was on point 👌

Love this place. The drinks & food are amazing. It’s not my type of place to hang out, but definitely a grab and go kinda place.

I have nightmares about the food lol. Those french fries are one of a kind, they tasted like cardboard and the shrimp dish tasted like shrimps in marinara sauce and the place is dirty as hell. You can certainly have the salad though.

The bartenders are NOT friendly at all... If you are not a regular here you can forget it! Another thing I had a problem with was I was overcharged on my bill... When I brought it to the bartenders attention he still didn't change the price... You are charged tax on top of tax and other fees with NO explanation... I paid as not to cause a scene ... Not sure if or when I'll be back!

Extremely good food but this place is dangerous at night. There are frequent fights inside the bar in the evening and there has been a murder or two but it's completely safe during the day and even the local police eat there. They also make very strong drinks. They are not cheap with the liquor.

Great place for good food and strong drinks! You can’t go wrong with the Oxtail meal yummy yummy. Worth every dime LOL!! However if you don’t plan on staying there to eat get there by 7 because it get crowded and parking sucks.

Ringside Lounge* One of the more famous spots in the area. Embedded into the history of boxing and it's influence on the community. Home base for all the greats, as they passed through on the way to the top. Considered the bedrock sports lounge in Hudson County. *Parking is always tight and limited

Great service , but I believe that all the workers here should be able to receive a gratitude tip included into every single tab at the end of the day. The service is outstanding but let’s value our workers too.

Love ringside for their drinks and honestly when you're hungry and drinking the food is quality also. Can't beat the price for the drinks and the atmosphere is very sporty type bar and it could get packed quickly on the weekends. A friend of mine saw Mike Tyson there so there's a chance for celebrity spotting.

My favorite local restaurant hands down. When I want to treat my taste buds to an overdose, I head to ringside. This place has some amazing Portuguese food...My favorite is the chicken streak with garlic sauce or the Portuguese steak...This is not a family oriented spot since it's more like a bar...not a really "romantic" date spot either...this is just a perfect comfort spot...great drink selections as well...the amount of great food you get for the low price is crazy...highly recommended!

If you've never been to Ringside then your missing out. I frequent this location and the staff is always friendly. Old school feel that doesn't disappoint and neither do the buckets. Try one next time your in Jersey City.

Good drinks as always, decent food. Okay prices. Daytime and early evening is best. Not too crazy or crowded. Bathrooms kinda yucky

I loved the sense of community at Ringside Lounge. It was great to meet and interact with fellow sports enthusiasts who shared the same passion for staying active and healthy. The food and background music is really amusing.

The place is a neighborhood staple. Nice vibes, I like that they have a jukebox. The drinks come served in a 32oz soup container, so you'll definitely get your moneys worth. However, you may have to splurge for some higher quality liquor than they provide at the set price. The food is okay. The women's bathroom has an odor more liķe stagnant water or sewage, but surprisingly it is kept clean enough for such a high volume. Lots of people come through this place. Again, nice vibes and good customer service.

Absolutely love me some Ringside. Mario is definitely part of the home sweet home experience in Jersey City . The drinks are big and strong. My favorites are the Antifreeze, Red Devil, White Russian , Two Tone and Thug Passion. The food is super Yummy and a good portion. Love the Salmon, Paella, wings. Especially love their rice. It gets super busy so go early, if you go later it’s a good experience because you can take your order to go, then with go home or drive down by the waterfront , park and enjoy!!!!!

LOVE this place!! For a boxing fan like myself, this place has the coolest vibe with a ton of old school boxing memorabilia all over the walls inside. And they have the BEST garlic shrimp around with a pitcher of delicious sangria to wash it all down with. I'd hang out here every day if I could.

First time there to get a quick drink Bahama Mama and boy was I feeling nice 😆definitely going back again soon!

The paella and calamari from here are the best I've had so far hands down. Drinks are the right amount of alcohol for a good time.
