It's a pretty nice spot for some laid-back drinks. I didn't try their food, but the drinks were definitely potent and enjoyable. The outdoor patio is well-heated, making it a cozy option even on chilly winter days. The service, however, was a bit on the slower side, quite disappointing and rather nonsensical. It took a good 20 minutes for our three basic drinks to arrive, with the server bringing them over in intervals of five and ten minutes. I think I'll consider visiting this place during less busy times since they don't seem to handle rush hours too well.

The service here is really great. There’s a lot of people working and they all are very friendly and nice. I love the ambiance of the inside like it’s a speakeasy almost and then the garden outside is so nice. The drinks are fun and creative. The food is also pretty good but not amazing. I had burratta and tacos

I had a fabulous first date at dullboy. Staff was absolutely incredible! David G. made me and my date feel special and there’s no doubt she thought I was the man with how well he was able to coordinate with me and give me drink ideas. Speaking of which, every cocktail (Two mojitos for her) and the three beers I had were on point and as good as we have ever had. The music was fire and it was a fun yet even romantic atmosphere that helped grease the wheels for as good as a first impression I could make. I literally couldn’t recommend dullboy enough and will be coming back soon for our second, and fingers crossed, third date. Thanks David and management for helping us make it happen!

I love it here! We've lived in this area for a few years, but I somehow didn't know about this place and feel like I've been missing out! We had brunch at Dullboy last weekend and everything was great. The staff are friendly and attentive, the decor is lovely and the music is great too. Just the perfect vibe (there are teacups and saucers on the tables, which I assume are for the punch bowls. I just thought they looked great!) We tried the devilled eggs appetizer, then my husband had the chicken sandwich blt and I had the florentine benedict with a side of bacon. EVERYTHING tasted so rich in flavour. I had some delicious fresh juice and my husband tried a couple of cocktails. He was HIGHLY impressed with them. The place has a nice relaxing vibe and I'm looking forward to coming back!

Happy hour until 6pm, cocktails only $10 Extensive tapas style menu. We enjoyed arepas (a corn pan cake) that we’ve never tried before but it was so flavorful. Food was on a salty side for our palate. Server took note and tried to accommodate. Vibe is cozy and staffs are friendly. Downside, googled “oysters” and took us to dullboy; however, they did not serve oysters and raw seafoods. Will come back!

Dullboy was very tasty! They call themselves a cocktail bar but I personally thought it was more of a restaurant vibe. The hot pockets were kind of a letdown but the lettuce wraps with lamb were so good. We also got the ribeye skewers which were also excellent. We ended up also getting the chicken nuggets to try them out but they're more like popcorn chicken than chicken nuggets. The flavors were still very good though. 4.5/5, would come back again!

Gathered with friends while visiting from Texas. We had a great time in our own little nook. The food was excellent. Cocktails were yummy. Or server was top notch. Nothing bad to say. I loved it.

Love this place! My favorite burger in JC. Great small plates and cocktails. I wish I remembered our waiters name because he was amazing :,)

We went on a Saturday night to dullboy and even though we did not have reservations they were able to seat us on the heated back patio. The interior of the restaurant is rather dark but overall this place has a nice atmosphere. The service was friendly and prompt. The cocktails we got were amazing and I anticipate going back to try more of their cocktail menu. The cocktails are pricey and range from $14-17 like most NYC area bars. The food menu is limited and I would not plan on eating a full dinner here without checking beforehand. The food was really tasty! However I would not order food here again as all of the menu items are rather pricey and the portions were small. Overall I really enjoyed my experience here!

7pm dinner: We were seated after about a 20 min wait. Not bad at all. We both ordered two cocktail drinks at $14 and $16. One was a slushee and the other was sour water. It’s like paying the price of a nyc cocktail drink but getting a homemade jungle juice that I make for house parties. Not good. The lettuce wrap on first bite was delicious but was slowly overwhelmed by the sauce. The ribeye entree had the best potatoes I’ve ever had paired with low quality supermarket tasting steak. Quite ironic. 2 arepas at $14 was mediocre at best. You can get better at a corner store for $8. Typically an establishment will excel at food or cocktails with good service and setting. Sad to say, this venue had neither. It’s getting a 3* because the service actually tried to be good, what a savings grace. I rarely hand out anything below a 5* if you look at my history of reviews but this venue is simply not cutting it.

Cozy. Intimate. Super hip neighbourhood gem. Servers are on top of it. Food perfect for sharing had the arepas, buratta, empanadas, Thai meatballs, and finished with the Cubano Sando. But the real treat is the bar staff and curated selection of wines and spirits. The cocktail and wines are always fresh and constantly updated. We had some orange and pink wines (the Italian pink was naturally effervescent and delicious) we had a hot toddy and a mezcal drink the bartender made to order. There’s a special backyard with a bright fun summer treehouse vibe. Love this place.

Always have a fantastic time at Dullboy! We came for the good cocktail reviews, and stayed for the delicious, beautifully-plated/presented shareables. The clever and eclectically upscale decor, tasteful music selection, lighting level and attentive & accommodating service all add to the dining experience. Our favorite drink is the Corita. The lobster dumplings and Korean Fried Chicken Nuggets were our favorite small plates. We also had the lamb lettuce wraps, empanadas and arepas. The burger is a great addition to the small plates for anyone with a larger appetite - and the curly fries are nice and crispy! Our stand-out dish of the night was actually the bacon mac and cheese, which is definitely one of the best I’ve had in JC/Hoboken. The food is perfect for small accompaniments to drinks or a full dinner. I would suggest this as a destination for a couple’s special occasion (my boyfriend chose it for his birthday!), though I would also go on a girls’ night here. Just don’t forget to make a reservation, it’s always busy! This is our third time at Dullboy and surely won’t be the last.

One of our new favorite spots. Well trained mixologists, putting out top notch cocktails and very friendly staff. Notably well stocked bar with a plethora of anything from Rail to premium more unique spirits. The accent wall made from old books is amazing, and now a project we’re replicating in our own home.

Dullboy provided a lively backdrop for a night of good cocktails with friends. The Yoko and the Calypso, our chosen concoctions, proved to be equally impressive. Each sip was a delightful journey through carefully curated flavors, a true testament to the craftsmanship behind the bar. The early evening ambiance was bustling, hinting at Dullboy's popularity. I would recommend making a reservation to ensure a spot at this venue.

Dullboy was a birthday stop for us a couple of week and we had a fantastic time. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. My only gripe was the outside patio didn’t have any type of ventilation and had one fan in one corner of the room so during this humid night it was tough to stay there. Overall though, the weather is out of their control so they still get five stars from me.

Always enjoy my experience here! A great bar with solid cocktails and a fun vibe! I’ve only ever gotten fries here for food so can’t say much about that. But the drinks are always yummy — I especially like The Lola!

This is a cool speakeasy vibe. The drinks were excellent. The food was good but nothing special.

I really used to love this place and it’s menu but since Covid it has not been the same. It’s just so over priced with not enough of the good options for me. My boyfriend and i ate here last night and i was just so disappointed i decided to barely eat and our bill was still 80$. I tried the lobster fried wontons, extremely disappointed. They were tiny and i could barely taste any filling at all let alone any lobster. It turned me off to trying the octopus again which was amazing pre Covid. All we had total was one drink each, 2 appetizer because i decided to just have the deviled eggs which was literally 1 and a half eggs 😭 for 8$!!! Why only 3 pieces? Where is the other half of the second egg? Like forreal! And my boyfriend got a burger and fries and the bill was $80 Lol. They used to have these amazing small plates. Please bring back the crab buns, the curry sweet potato wedges and more.. there’s just not enough options not worth the price they are now charging these days. Every drink is at least $14 minimum even glasses of wine 😭 i just can’t 🥲

Loved the vibes and energies at dullboy. The staff was super friendly and nice. We came here for drinks and had a fun time. I honestly would have stayed all night if I could! The decor was unique as well and fun!

For years I’ve heard so much hype about this place and I can finally see why! The cocktails are amazing. I love the unique flavors and combinations they have to offer. The food was also delicious. My favorite part was the ambience in the back. Their outdoor seating is cute, intimate and romantic at night! Perfect date night spot!

Dullboy is one of the best bars I’ve been to. The customer service is excellent, they have great menu selections. From the Cubano to the octopus and let’s not forget the return of the Mac. The mixologists they have there are all awesome. They make the best whiskey sours there.

Love coming here for the aesthetic. It’s always one of my go to summer spots because the back is so cool. Signature cocktails are great. They have everything for any kind of palette. If you like fruity get The Liliana

Went with a few friends yesterday for dinner. Such a great atmosphere. Our waiter made excellent recommendations for us to drink. Ribeye and lobster was cooked to perfection, along with the baked mac! 10/10 recommend for anyone who wants to try something new or even for date night! will be back in the near future!

Great drink selection - really impressive cocktails and scotch (japanese and traditional). Food was excellent although I preferred the appetizers over the mains. The empanadas and lobster dumplings are fantastic! The vibe was great and you definitely need a reservation so book in advance and be on time!!

A great Punch Brunch spot on a Sunday with a superb menu (try the MacNCheese, virgin, and you're in heaven), cracking cocktails and beautiful NJ beers. Will give a fuller review once gone in the week or weekend night for liberal libations. A Grove St MUST GO BAR.

Made a reservation for 6:30pm, knowing that outside is first-come first-serve with preference for reservations so we might wait, and got a table right away. Their little back patio was super cute and fun. The cocktails were fabulous, particularly the Boulevardier. The lamb lettuce wraps were INSANELY GOOD, and the octopus was great, too.

Always a great time. Cocktails on the menu are all amazing but the most fun part is if you're there and it's not crazy busy at the bar you can get some cool personalized custom drinks just by telling them what you're looking for!

The best cocktails in Jersey City. The food is quite good as well. Outdoor seating area is nice and I find the DJ outside to be generally excellent, if you like hip hop/rap. I definitely recommend it.

I had the burrata and the lamb tacos. Both were excellent! We sat outside in the back where the setting is very cozy. Definitely recommend it if the weather's nice.
