This is am amazing spot to view downtown Manhattan and Jersey City, even in rainy, foggy weather. Also, have some cafeterias and restrooms available for visitors, i recommend this place to everyone, especially during summer time for romantic evening hangouts 😋☺️ Enough parking for everyone. Come near sundown so you can see the light do some interesting things to the memorial. Lots of good views of the city across the Hudson. I would say this place really should be on the list of best places to visit for anyone who is local or coming to the area as tourist.

A great place to visit when heading to Liberty State Park.. the 9/11 memorial gives a sense of where the towers would've stood when looking from this side of the river.. offers a good view of Manhattan, and is a calm and peaceful place to sit at watch the ferries go by.. a food place to visit during the day or night, when you can see the city lit in all it's glory..

Wow, it's amazing and humble to see this. It's great to see how NJ City honors these residents who lost their lives on 9/11/2001. It's located right next to the Liberty State Park ticketing building. It's best to take pictures before the ferry cruises arrive to avoid big crowds. Parking is $7.

Very cute and quite emotional. The memorial features the names of those who died on 9/11 and you can see the scaffolding that was once part of the twin towers. Here you take the ferry that passes in front of the Statue of Liberty. Recommended for all who visit NYC

Memorable monument to pay homage to the people who lost their life in 9/11. It's picturesque and best to visit at sunset or sunrise. Great place to visit with family or bunch of friends. The architecture is beautiful and as the name suggests empty sky memorial has to remind you of the WTC. Personally I love this place.

Came here on the 20th anniversary of 9-11. This was such a touching place to come to those who lost their life that day. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Come near sundown so you can see the light do some interesting things to the memorial. Lots of good views of the city across the Hudson. This really should be on the list of best places to see for anyone who is local or coming to the area to visit

“The Empty Sky Memorial is a beautiful and moving tribute to those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. Located in Liberty State Park, the memorial consists of two stainless steel walls that stretch 208 feet long, standing 30 feet tall at their highest point. Each wall is inscribed with the names of the 749 New Jersey residents who died in the attack. The design is simple yet powerful, and the setting overlooking the Manhattan skyline is both peaceful and poignant. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking to honor the memory of those lost on that tragic day in American history.”

Excellent place to spend a casual afternoon observing the World Trade centre. If you have missed your ferry to the Statue of Liberty or if u have already visited, take some rest before heading back home. Some good water sports options are also available nearby. Today the free parking slots were full so we have to pay $7 for the parking. But it’s quite satisfying to spend some good time. Nice place for wedding photography also.

Poem on 911 Amidst the towering buildings, Once stood a place of sorrow, Where hearts were rent asunder, And hope for tomorrow seemed hollow. The air was thick with grief, As smoke and dust filled the air, The sound of sirens echoed loud, As people stumbled everywhere. Yet amidst the chaos and confusion, Amidst the wreckage and debris, A new symbol of strength emerged, For all the world to see. A memorial of granite and steel, Stands tall and proud today, A testament to the courage and valor, Of those who passed away. The names of the fallen etched in stone, Their memory forever preserved, Their sacrifice a reminder, Of the courage we all deserve. So let us never forget, The heroes of that fateful day, And let this memorial stand as a beacon, To guide us on our way. Poem credit: OpenAi

Very windy and cold in early January. However the view of the Manhattan skyline, especially the world trade center is great. The free parking is for 2 hours.

A very touching memorial for all of those from New Jersey who perished from the terror attacks on 9/11 in New York. It is so arranged that when you look at it, the two walls form the Towers that once stood just a bit away across the Hudson. In front are two steel beams from the World Trade and inside on the walls are inscribed the names of those who perished, lest we forget. Definitely worth a stop if in Liberty State Park.

This place is heartbreaking. And beautiful at the same time. The clear axis to Ground Zero can be seen from the piece of the Twin Tower structure on the other side of the Memorial. Breathtaking to experience while you’re right in the middle of it.

Empty Sky Memorial is a tribute to the empty spaces left by New Jersey residents who lost their lives on 9/11. The memorial is a chilling, masterful corridor of stainless steal which focuses your attention on the New York City skyline ahead and is inscribed with the names of love ones lost on that tragic day. WTC beams from the rumble were placed in crossed fashion in front of the tribute, before you enter. *An old time rail road station runs adjacent to the memorial and is also very beautiful with vintage green metal and classic freight cars.

One of my fav places here in Jersey city with an incredible view of NYC skyline. This’s part of liberty state park and closes by 10pm. Super convenient to visit with well maintained parking( free parking ) right infront of the memorial along with restroom facilities nearby. Such a pleasant environment and Not at all crowded. Attached some of my captures from this place ….

One of the best view of NYC. Safe park with a nicely angled hill to take in the view laying down. A downfall is this place takes a long walk to get here. If you’re coming from NYC, I recommend taking a Lyft or Uber after getting off the PATH. The New Jersey 9/11 Memorial Foundation stated that the goal of this memorial is to reflect the legacies of those whose lives were lost, that their unfulfilled dreams and hopes may result in a better future for society. Their unique qualities and characteristics enriched our lives immeasurably and through this memorial, their stories live on.

Nice memorial and place to visit. Views of the NYC are very nice as well. From this area you get get to ferry to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. Usually less crowded than from Battery park in NYC.

This is a very touching and visually beautiful memorial. I’ve never seen the skyline from the New Jersey side. I still can’t imagine what it would have been like to witness the attack from so close.

Nice area to park your car, it says here you may park your car for 2 hours. You can see debris and remnants from the 9/11 World Trade Center site. Say a little prayer and remember the lives lost. There are 2 pillars and you could look in the direction to see where WTC used to stand in the NYC Skyline.

This is one of the best places in Nj. If you want have to go for a walk or enjoy the Newyork skyline. Best place to take pictures as well. Don’t miss out even if you don’t want to go to Statue of Liberty. Just go there if you will find a free parking at 9/11 memorial.

Impressed! Visited both during the Sunset and the Sunrise. Sunset is the perfect time to spot the golden circles on the Memorial. Also, for people who want to enjoy the Manhattan view, this is one of the best spots out there. Have fun 🙌

Loved the visit to empty sky memorial on 9/11's 20th anniversary. Felt the ambience of the loss of hearts during the 2001's heart broken incidents. Saw the twin lights pointing up to the sky filling the emptyness of what is lost. Awesome place.

I went earlier in August and it was absolutely beautiful. It’s incredibly heartbreaking and sad to think about all the people who lost their lives. Not sure about anyone else, but while I was walking through it, I felt…still. I just know that all the people listed are truly resting in peace.
