Update 06/09/23 * provider sent unexpected collection notice with bill $160+ I was not aware of. The bill was a surprise and the billing code they used seems to not match the services received. All I wanted was a prescription refill which in the end I had to go to a different provider for. Called the provider and they were not helpful. Updating review, this is the poorest experience I’ve had at any provider. I regret ever going here and disappointed zocdoc has this place on their platform ——————— Original review The provider Armyl Marquez is a wonderful, caring and dedicated practitioner however the front desk staff are disorganized, unreliable and unprofessional. It was very difficult to have them send out my prescription and each time I would call they promised a call back which never happened. It came to a point where I had to go to another physician to get my prescription sent. Due to this I will not be returning which is unfortunate as the provider themself is great.

The doctor and nurse staff is ok but the front reception staff is just downright rude. They don’t care about you. Just about making money from copay. I went in for a regular annual checkup and I didn’t even meet the doctor properly but they charged me a premium. Definitely looking for a new doctor since this was my followup visit and my experience has been horrible. Please stay away unless you want mental stress in addition to whatever you are seeing the doctor for.

Honestly the worst experience with a doctors office I’ve ever had. This review is for 2 visits that I was forced to have just for simple blood work. First visit: made an appt on Saturday morning to have blood and urine taken for tests. Urine went fine, but as for the blood work, I waited over an hour for the phlebotomist to show up, but they never came. A nurse practitioner said he would draw blood. As he’s getting everything ready, he said, “I hope I remember how to do this, it’s been a while.” I asked him when the last time he drew blood was and he said “2 years ago.” After proceeding to stick me 3 times across 2 arms, he gave up and said I’d have to come back another day to see the phlebotomist (which is the reason I was there in the first place – to see the phlebotomist). Before I left, I was told by the front desk staff that I would not have to pay a co-pay on the 2nd visit since they couldn’t complete the job on the 1st visit. 2nd visit: before anything, I confirmed that your phlebotomist was already there, they said yes. I then waited an hour and 15 mins after getting my vitals taken. Finally I opened the waiting room door and complained. The phlebotomist immediately came over and took my blood. I went to the front desk to check out and was told that I owed a copay, even though I confirmed the first time around that I wouldn’t need to pay one. Finally I left without paying. Honestly go anywhere else. This office is absolutely terrible and completely unprofessional. The 3 front desk women have their masks half down while telling other people to put theirs up, they’re rude, and they’re blasting music. This is a doctors office not high school. Go anywhere else.

Dr Prahalad Gadhvi is the most horrible and unprofessional doctor I've met! He didn't have the patience to even listen to me. When I told him my ailment and told him I feel like I can do only 80% of what I can potentially do, he said things like "It's fine, don't worry about it", "Oh my other patients have much worse symptoms, you are doing fine". He's extremely business minded and does not care about you. For him, you are just another John/Jane Doe to bill your insurance company and make his $$$. You should be ashamed of yourself Dr Gadhvi!

If you have any sort of minor life-long, recurring prescription DO NOT come here. They simply hold your prescriptions hostage if you do not schedule a check-up every few months (instead of the standard yearly). Makes sense if you're just starting out on a new medication, but not if you've been taking it for years. If you push and argue enough you may be lucky to find someone working that will actually help you, but otherwise they're just looking to pad their visits for $$$. It's been the third time this has happened to me and I am now switching providers. Worst part: the check up is rushed and impersonal. It's an absolute waste of your time, every time. Avoid if you can.

That was definitely the WORST experience I’ve had at a primary care office. The doctor was so hurried and didn’t care. He didn’t ask any questions. I went in for an ear cleaning and the doctor looked in my ears SO violently. I told him about my past experiences and he completely disregarded them and things other doctors had told me. Then he proceeded to extremely violently spray water in my ears to try and get some wax out. This made me extremely dizzy and faint because of how violent it was. So much so that the other student nurse told me he’d never seen that and asked if I wanted him to do it because it was so violent. The student nurse was SO kind. But the main doctor was quite literally awful.

Dr. Prahlad Gadhavi is one of the worst doctors I’ve ever been to. He has a horrible bedside manner, is incredibly condescending and chauvinistic. He does NOT listen to your concerns. I went in for pain in my flank and a family history of renal issues. Without conducting any tests, he deemed it a muscular issue. When I asked him to explain his reasoning without any concrete data, he proceeded to tell me this is what he does day in and day out. I had to push him to do a routine urine analysis and bloodwork. His referral was to do an X-ray, which would cost me a small fortune instead of urine & blood which should come before an x-ray in this case. He was simultaneously defensive and condescending in his approach. Stay away from this awful doctor at all costs. On the contrary to other reviews, I found the office staff to be incredibly empathetic and kind. It seems like they know how awful and ignorant he is.

This is likely the worst Doctor I have ever seen. They consistently ignore serious symptoms and do their best to avoid any treatment. After my appointment with them where they found no issues, I was suspicious and walked into an urgent care center. The urgent care doctor found a few serious issues for which I needed to be medicated immediately.

First of all, This place has not provided which doctor is available when to zocdoc. I booked the appointment with Dr Deval Gandhi but some body else came and checked me up. The portal of blood work result is not very easy to understand unlike bioreference. Also, In my second visit, I am writing this review from literally doctor’s room, I had to wait for 1 hour and 15mins just to call out my name. I am changing my primary care next year. This place is not good and not very professional.

This has got to be one of the worst practices I have experienced. My initial consultation with Dr.Deval Gadhvi was good, however things quickly went downhill from there since she went on leave. The office is swamped since only one of the doctors is working at the moment, and that seems to justify the office missing appointments, and refusing to discuss test results that they ordered unless you book another appointment and pay the copay(again!). I have tried reaching out to the office multiple times and each time I am either put on hold or told that they can't help me since the doctor is swamped and "someone" will eventually reach out- yet to happen. And the patient portal is absolutely useless. If this practice doesn't have the bandwidth to handle the patients then they should STOP taking appointments and charging the copay and billing the insurance. It's downright negligent behavior and if I knew what practice/ board to escalate to I would. TLDR- if you can avoid this practice make sure you do. There are much better doctors who make their patients a priority.

Staff will repeatedly place you on hold for 10+ minutes before even asking you what the issue is. They will forget to send prescriptions to the pharmacy and need multiple reminders to fix it. The doctors are nice, but overbooked and will often miss appointments you had booked, with zero warning. You will have to call the receptionist to get it rescheduled. Really unprofessional all around.

Everyone working here seems miserable. It’s probably because the male provider is rude. I don’t know which provider I saw because he never bothered to introduce himself, and he didn’t even look at me the entire time he was in the room. He also made several rude remarks. Needed a physical for school. He filled out the paperwork I needed haphazardly which may cause it to be invalid. Did not notice until I had already left the office. I’ll never go back here or refer anyone.

My virtual doctor visit was excellent. The convenience of being able to consult with a healthcare professional from the comfort of my own home was fantastic. The doctor was attentive, asked all the right questions, and provided me with the guidance I needed. Even before I made my appointment, the staff was friendly and efficient. I felt well taken care of throughout the whole process. Definitely would recommend to my friends and family.

DON’T GO! For a annual routine physical check, which suppose to be fully covered by any of medical insurance. They put a charge on LabCorp and I have keep receiving collection for the billing which I should not pay. And I have been contacting them for 3 months and they are still not fixing it! It’s a nightmare for having this outstanding bill and collective agent chasing for chasing.

Dr. Gadhavi is the worst doctor I have ever engaged with. Had a major issue and simply attributed everything to anxiety. Also charged $50 copay for a $25 visit. This is not a doctor, more like a medical enthusiast that gets paid. Stay clear!

Suspicious billing practices. This office violated the Federal NSA (no surprises act) and when brought to the attention of their billing department they refused to answer questions with the insurance company also on the call.

    1. I specifically made an appointment for a female doctor but when it came to time they assigned me a male doctor. 2. The nurse practitioner or whoever was the young indian female assistant is very clueless on basic medical procedures. How do you not know what a breast augmentation is? THE WORST PART 3. they will try to tell you you have things wrong (heart murmur) so that you have to take test that your insurance doesnt cover!! Shady. Office isnt clean, staff is unpleasant.

The DOCTOR is very professional and nice. But the receptionist CHRISTIN is very rude. I called because I needed a refill of my pill and I couldn't go to the appointment that day and I only had 1 pill left. (I only asked for a refill for at least one week until the next appointment) She told me no, I tried to explain that I really couldn't go that day. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and when she returned with no solution other than leave me without medication. And I asked her why she left me on hold for 10 minutes and she got more angry and it wasn't professional at all and she closed the call. I needed the refill and I called again, a guy answered me and gave me the extension I needed. but after this I will find another place. She might have had a bad day, but she doesn't gamble that a patient's medication. I am sure that the Doctor would have made the extension that he needed and would not support the bad attitudes of his employee. (It was a good place, until they treat you badly, it does not matter if he is a good doctor... the attention is worth much more and they give the trust we need as patients. I drove 1 hour + 40 minutes looking for parking and I thought it was worth it. But no

Worst doctor’s office. The man who works there as one of the primary doctors laughed at me when I said I was having trouble focusing. The main female doctor lied to me about test results and when I expressed looking for some support for a work issue, told me to ignore it. I am so happy I don’t ever have to set foot in that place again.

Dr. Gadhvi has been my primary care physician for several years. He identified issues and treated them successfully. More importantly to me, he helps me navigate my entry into older age (I’m 71) with respect and the right balance of compassion and pragmatism. I trust him.

Please, if you really care about your health, I urge you to think twice before you go to this place. I find it extremely upsetting that doctors in this practice do not care about true reasons of your illness or poor blood test results. They want to treat only symptoms. The front desk is polite, but the doctors are absolutely unprofessional and give wrong advice if any. Let me explain: I wanted to do additional blood test, because my nutritionist(who is also a doctor of science and an extremely well respected specialist in her field) wanted to check my endocrine system, but I was told by the head doctor that if nj primary care “your doctor does not know anything about health if she asks you to do additional bloodwork” and then he added “I could have earned more money being with other patients now instead of explaining this to you”. Long story short: I did additional bloodwork and I’m glad I did! Additionally, I shared my concern regarding a constant pain in my knee that has been bothering me for at least a year! The doctor barely touched my knee through my jeans and told me “well, you should stop squats” What?! I rarely do squatting to begin with. I mean, it’s just puzzling how they can treat people with such “deep” knowledge and care for their patients.

The doctors and the staff have been very helpful & caring. The doctors truly take their time to explain things with you and the staff (shoutout to Karen!) has been integral in helping me find a pharmacy that can fill a prescription that has been backordered for months. Cannot say enough good things about this practice!

We had an appointment on Saturday for Covid Testing and lady who took a test was very nice plus doctor was really helpful to accommodate our need. We had an issue on name that is written report that came out since my wife had a flight to catch. However, DR, Gadhvi helped us to correct the error and and make sure that we would get correct report before flight. I would really recommend this place.

Gratitude for Your Exceptional Assistance!! Dear Karen, I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for your time and patience in assisting me with my recent medication mail-in order. The frustration that we both have been put through talking to a million different representatives! Your dedication and support made the process much smoother, and I am truly grateful for your exceptional service. Thank you once again for your invaluable help. She is truly the best office Mgr. by far that I have met!!! She gets things rolling… NJ PRIMARY CARE HAS THE BEST!

The provider is very dismissive of any concerns expressed. Their annual physical is a joke, all he checks is blood pressure. Doesn't even do the finger prick test for cholesterol.

  • 1/5 Qian W. 2 years ago on Google
Worst annual health exam experience ever! I got billed a lot for things beyond the annual exam that I wasn't informed at all! After I received the bill, it was impossible to have any conversation about the issue with them. I called a dozen of times, they either just tell me to call another department or tell me they will call back in the same day, but they never did. This office is so irresponsible and it basically robbing money.

Everybody was extremely nice when I went here. It was a little busy but it wasn't too bad. The real problem I have is that it has been a month since my appointment and I never received a call about my bloodwork results. I got the results in my patient portal and I had to Google search what the results mean bc I haven't heard back from the doctor. I even called and asked if I would receive a phone call and I never heard back. Very disappointed. I was also told that I was prescribed a medicine and I could go pick it up at my pharmacy. Well I called my pharmacy and they never got the prescription from the doctor. Unfortunately I may have to find a new doctor.

I booked my appointment last week and when I come into the doctor’s office I waited 45 minutes before asking for an update on when I’d be seen. This isn’t typical, I usually only have to wait 5-10 minutes before seeing a doctor. When I asked for an update, I’m told I’m the third person in line to see the doctor, I’ll be seen in 15 minutes, and there’s only one doctor. That showed me a clear lack of respect for people’s schedule and a huge disconnect with expectations. The queue was progressing was very slow, the front desk staff seemed overworked, and there didn’t seem to be a sense of urgency. At the very least, I’d appreciate some kind of communication instead of sitting and waiting to see a doctor for a refill… very disappointing.

I have had great experiences with Dr. Gadhvi at NJ Primary Care. There's also a lab on premises for most of basic physical tests and the results are pretty quick. The staff at NJ Primary care are also very good.

This office got my personal information completely wrong, even messed up with my "gender" in their system. The front desk is very cold and rude. The doctor (PRAHLAD GADHAVI) spent less than 3 mins with me for my annual physical check. They recorded more diagnosis which the doctor didn't do at all. This way they would charge more with the insurance company I think. Don't like this clinic office and don't like the doctor either. Definitely will change my primary doctor. The positive reviews and high rating on zocdoc must be faked.

Booked doctor on zocdoc and ended up seeing a different doctor when I got to the office. Doctor I did see had horrible bed side manor. Never called me with issues with my blood test results just marked in my online portal to start taking supplements. Took them a year to get me the bill which has no functioning online portal to pay.

The appointment system is a JOKE. I scheduled an appointment 2 days ahead, and called in the same day morning to confirm. Then I waited for over an hour after arriving. The lady next to me said she made an appointment for Saturday but the place was closed when she arrived. Lots of better choices unless you like to wait in a crowded walkway.

I was going for a 1st appointment just getting a routine physical. This place takes a bunch of patients at a time so all rooms are full and waiting room is packed with people. The front desk woman was visibly overwhelmed. I walked out.

I did have an issue with billing but I later realized it was an issue with my insurance. NJ Primary care was very cooperative in resolving the issue. I appreciate their assistance. The service they provide is also commendable. Would recommend this clinic and it's at a very convenient and scenic location.

Horrible attitude, incredibly slow (waited over 2 hours for basic diagnostics bloodwork), the doctor blamed her computers on the possibility of no results coming, when in reality it is a combination of technical illiteracy and poor patient management system. Computers aren't the source of your problems, a lack of balance and moderation is.

I just moved to JC, NJ. and am a new patient of Dr. Gadhvi. It is difficult to replace your doctors, especially as you get older. It took me three primary care physicians to find the right doctor where I resided before. Dr. Gadhvi and his team are amazing. They listened carefully to my concerns and had all my medications called to my pharmacy the following day. I am very grateful and appreciative of the excellent service and care.

I found this provider on Zocdoc and couldn’t be happier. Scheduling was super easy and the staff is very attentive to the needs of the patients. I was seen by Dr. Gadhavi’s brother who paid close attention to my issues and helped to develop a treatment plan. Today was my 1 month follow-up and I must admit that I am feeling so much better. I am very happy to have found such an amazing PCP. Both doctors are wonderful!

I DONT KNOW WHAT KIND OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL LAUGHS AT HIS PATIENTS BUT THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. My little brother just came from here and said the doctor "Dr. Gandhi" laughed at him when he told the doctor about a serious condition. Putting this on here for the next person who decides to take their health chances on an institution that would laugh at a patient's serious concerns. I do not care how old the doctor is, or how much experience they have, but laughing at a patient is the absolute worst bedside manner you can have as a provider. 0 stars!
