I recently had a very disappointing experience at the urgent care facility, and I feel compelled to share my story to prevent others from making the same mistake. My child was suffering from an ear infection, and I took him to the facility hoping to receive prompt and effective treatment. After a brief examination, the doctor suggested that there was something stuck in my child's ear (which wasn’t true) and prescribed eye drops instead of ear drops🤷🏻‍♂️. I had to beg for some other form of treatment. Two days later, my child's condition had only worsened. The ear was now producing heavy fluid, and I knew that we needed to seek further medical attention. We visited our regular pediatrician, who was horrified by the state of my child's ear. They couldn't believe that the previous doctor had failed to recognize the severity of the infection and had prescribed inappropriate medication. Thankfully, our pediatrician provided effective treatment, but the experience left me deeply dissatisfied with the urgent care facility. It seems clear to me that this facility is more concerned with making money than serving the community. The doctor who treated my child seemed inexperienced and ill-equipped to handle medical emergencies, and their lack of professionalism and expertise was truly alarming. I was also shocked to see that the facility had many positive reviews on Google. It's hard to believe that these reviews are genuine, given my own experience and the stories I've heard from others. I would advise anyone seeking medical care to steer clear of this facility and to find a provider who is genuinely committed to their patients' well-being.

I am a first time patient! I made the appointment online, I had an appointment within the hour. The site was easy to navigate and if you upload your ID and insurance card your check in will be instant! The medical staff was amazing, very friendly and professional! The clinic was clean and sanitized. Doctor Iqra was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and made me feel comfortable! I left educated on my condition and with a doctors note. I will definitely recommend Chai Urgent Care to family, friends and others!

I’ve been here in person before and usually the staff are nice. However When I received my second false negative Covid from this location I called to let them know bc if I hadn’t gotten more than one test that day I would’ve potentially spread Covid to my immunocompromised peers. It was a safety concern. I was immediately dismissed and was given very defensive attitude and felt very degraded despite remaining calm and nice throughout the entire call. Would not recommend getting tested here.

I brought my two daughters there to get seen today. The staff was friendly and concerned. The service was prompt and thorough. They explained everything about my daughter’s conditions in detail so I understand why they were feeling bad. I recommend this urgent care and will be back if needed in the future. Special thanks to Cassandra she was very informative and helpful.

The Jersey City Office staff is amazing I had the girl jazz come in introduced herself I informed her I had difficult veins she called her supervisor very nice amazing lady Maria came in introduced her self talked me through every step, made me laugh and comfortable and my blood was taken with no issues no bruising. The manager was awesome he even cleans while his staff works very friendly. The office is looking more patient friendly now and Dr Kwame is amazing as well. No long wait time either

The only reason Im giving a 3 and not a zero is because of how nice and professional the medical assistant was. I had a positive Covid result at home and wanted to get a rapid test on paper for work.I visited on 8-11-23 and was the first patient when the doors opened. The medical assistant was super helpful. She introduced herself, was thorough about the paperwork and administered the test. After a few moments she read a Positive result and immediately spoke to me to put me at ease. She was extremely professional and had a great bedside manner. She went on to state that the doctor wanted to come in and speak to me. A person who was supposed to be the doctor came in and spoke to the young lady, he then nodded his head at me and walked out of the room. I asked the young lady if that was the doctor and she stated yes, with a nervous chuckle.I casually commented “isn’t he supposed to introduce himself?” . At this point, I didn’t want to embarrass her or make her feel uncomfortable, so I just took the copy of the results and thanked her for her service.. In my opinion, he should’ve introduced himself and went over my results. However, kudos to her.

I went in here after a horrible night & a bad fall they helped me in less than an hour!!! I Absolutely love it here! Great high energy fast service!! Don’t even WASTE TIME going to the ER especially if it’s something minor! Cassandra & Edgaryn made the best of my bad day! Don’t let me get a cold I’ll be right back!

Stuff at the front desk was nice, clean environment and fast service. I was amazed by the medical assistant name Kayla Cruz, I'm a Nurse at NYU Langone Health and quality care is very important to me but Kayla was very professional and kind she made things very easy for me with her professionalism and her beautiful smile she was very caring and respectful. She made me wanna come back and refer people to the clinic.

I've been living in Jersey City for 2 years and have been coming here for my medical needs. The staff are all so friendly and empathetic. The receptionists are super welcoming and there are kiosks which make check in very fast. The office is clean & professional. Kimberly and Iqra helped me today, and they were absolutely exceptional. I am a repeat patient to this location and I have never been disappointed. The facility is always clean and sanitized and the medical staff is wonderful. During this visit, Doctor Iqra and Cassandra were extremely nice and polite and explained everything that they were doing and why before they did it. They took their time and made sure that I understood everything and gave me the same professional care that I would receive at my primary care physician's office. My husband and I have visited this urgent care for redness and swelling of the chest area. The service was high quality. The young lady at the front reception desk was pleasant; I unfortunately didn’t get her name. We were seen immediately (no wait). Two representatives came into the room with us and assessed my husbands issue. She asked several questions but before doing her thing she asked my husband if he was okay with me being present for the visit which I appreciate very much. You just never know. She put on her PPE and completed the evaluation. She understood his discomfort but had to do her job which was to feel the area causing pain which hurt but it was very necessary. She welcomed questions but because she was so informative, there was maybe one question to ask. She answered the question with great detail. My own doctor is not this informative and I have heard “I don’t know” from my doctor which is very frustrating. Anyhow, to sum this all up Dr Iqra Shahid is a wonderful medical professional. You’re in good hands at Chai Urgent Care. I requested a photo of their names because I knew my plan to give them praise for their wonderful service. Thank you so much.

This is my second time visiting Chia Urgent Care. And this experience was as wonderful as the last one. The staff is super amazing they go above and beyond to make sure that each patient is taken care of. They are kind, respectful, dedicated, professional, and so caring. They each made me feel special, and you could tell they genuinely love the work they do and care about each patient I must give a special note to Staff members Cassandra, Janiece, and Dr. Iqra. I was having a really tough day and these ladies took time to listen to me and encourage me that everything would be ok. I truly appreciate their time, kindness and support. This facility is clean and spacious with a friendly atmosphere. Upon entering I was greeted by Jeffrey, he was very professional with great energy. Jaslene performed my COVID test, she was gentle; I was very comfortable, I barely felt it. She was personable, and energetic. I would certainly recommend this facility, my results were available in less than 24hrs.

I arrived to find the front desk receptionists friendly and professional. There was no wait time; the appointment I booked online was the one I got in the office. My nurse practitioner was kind, knowledgeable and efficient. This care clinic, right in the heart of West Side/ Lincoln Park is a gem for the community!

Brought my son in after almost 2 weeks with a flu and fever. The front desk had us registered quickly and set inside a room. The office is clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and efficient. The medical assistants were clean, professional and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated watching the front desk train a new employee. The experienced staff were providing constructive feedback and instruction. It shows good character and a healthy work environment. I would recommend this urgent care office.

I stepped on a dirty nail outside and rushed in about 30 minutes before closing. The entire staff was so helpful and provided me with the best care. Although I was a new patient and they had none of my information in their system they didn’t waste any time and took me into an examination right away. They even gave my two year old daughter a lollipop and stickers once everything was done because it was clearly a traumatic experience for the both of us. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Went into see Dr.bc I felt I was coming down with something. Thankfully no infections or anything. I asked the Dr. when he was done evaluating me what otc cough medication did he recommend? FROM HIS MOUTH HE ASKED ME IF I WAS DRIVING AND I SAID NO I WOULDN'T BE HE SAID IM GOING TO PRESCRIBE YOU SOME COUGH MEDICINE TAKE AT NIGHT SO YOU CAN REST WELL. I said wonderful thank you. Upon escorting me back to the front to get my Drs note he said would like like some tylenol as well. I said sure thank you. When I arrived at the pharmacy no prescription, had to call them to see if it was sent . I was told the Dr would resend which he did but he only sent tylenol. Called back once again to be told by the young lady that all he was sending was tylenol well thats not the conversation he and I had in the exam room. Didn't even feel like going back and forth with her. I'm not a liar and don't have time for games when Im sick. I asked for his OTC recommendation and he said I will prescribe you something. Please don't make people feel like they are lying or crazy cause I'm neither. Thank you for the services provided wish It went differently but I guess I will have to find someplace else to go.

Staff is always welcoming and professional as soon as I walk in. My son was seen by Cassandra and Dr.Kwami they made him feel so comfortable. Thank you so much for making his visit a pleasant one.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place charges you one price initially and then after seeing a doctor says they need to charge you again because they forgot to charge for what I was being seen for. These people are like car dealership salesmen. They never explain clearly what they charge for. The manager is very rude and hung up on me. If you don’t like the feedback for employees who do not know how to do their job then you need to do an overhaul and hire an entirely new staff.

I highly recommend this place. I’ve been here a couple of times for myself and my wife to do COVID testing. The time wait is not long. My wife was just seen by doctor Shahid. Due to the fact, she was not feeling well. And Dr. Shahid and his staff members were very caring and amazing. The doctor even followed up the very next for the results. Was great

Yes Ms Maria is amazing I have an autistic son that doesn’t allow anyone to touch him she was able to check his temp and his breathing while talking him through it and she was able to do the swabs for testing without him screaming she made us feel comfortable and she made him smile when she said breath out ur nose like a dragon to do the sample. The provider came in and saw us and was nice he explained everything. I greatly appreciate you and your staff and the manager very nice and welcoming. Front desk very friendly and efficient. Have come here 4 times for COVID testing, very efficient, no issues. Wait time is 2-20 min . Depends how many people in front of you. The most I’ve waited was 15 minutes

If I can give the 0 star, I would. My wife wants to see a doctor, and we went to this urgent care. They asked my wife to get the insurance card, and she asked if they couldn't look for it. Front lock said to my wife they couldn't look for it. I gave my insurance because we have disame insurance. Now they want my wife name on the insurance. We feel like we have been neglected or they don't want to take care of my wife. It's very unprofessional. We just left. They could just take care of my wife, and I can come back to give them the insurance. I would not recommend this urgent care to anyone.

I went to this medical clinic for my first visit on 7/13. excellent customer service and medical care The front desk, phlebotomy tech, and MA were all nice girls, as well as the doctor. I'll be back for sure.

Staff was nice as was the doctor who saw me. I was there for a sick visit. Was told by the doctor I didn’t need any prescriptions, then I get a notification from cvs of scrips ready for pick up after I left. When I got home after picking them up I called them back to see what’s was up? They told me to disregard the prescription order they sent it by mistake. This has never happened to me before anywhere. If I wasn’t I’ll and not feeling myself I would have thought to call them before I spent my money on prescription I don’t need but here I am $12 out of my pocket because they couldn’t do their job right. I will not be returning because I don’t play when it comes to my health & money. You only get once chance with me when ur in the medical field and they blew it.

I highly recommend Chai Urgent care, Jersey City. My visit was quick, but thorough. This is a very clean well run facility. Staff here was professional.

The front desk staff was good, the nurse was great. The doctor (although potentially competent?) was totally condescending. He talked down to me and actually called me "sweetheart" in a condescending tone when I misunderstood him. In addition, he then begin to speak slowly as if I couldn't hear. It was beyond annoying. Just for context, he was a young doctor and I'm 60. Not sure why that should matter but it seemed to make him treat me differently.

This is the only facility that actually gets you in and out without all the extra waiting hassle. Sad to hear they may be going out of business, I wish more docters would extend their help to this location, I don't know what these people who have children but no vehicle are going to do. Thank you. On my visit today Cassandra assisted my daughter and myself and was informative and very sweet. The facility is clean and the staff are courteous.

I’ve been here twice and I love it. Always have appointments available on the weekday mornings so Si go early and I’m in and out. Cassandra took care of me both times and she’s so sweet, makes you feel comfortable and does everything she can to make sure you’re diagnosed properly. She goes the extra mile to test you for everything and takes her time. I really love her bedside manners. Dr. Abreu also took care of me both times and he’s amazing and super transparent! He is always upfront and provides you additional at-home remedies that you can do to ease symptoms. I truly love their patient care here. Front desk Manerva is super efficient and friendly!

Took my son with high fever to Chai UC . Dr Shahid was very kind and gentle with my son. It was also nice of her to follow up with a call after a few days.

This is my second time using Chai. I love that appointments can be made in advance, and the place is clean, bright, and spacious. The staff is courteous and helpful. Most importantly, the care from the medical staff is thorough! Grateful this place is in my neighborhood.

I do not recommend this place at all for a COVID test. I got tested Monday and was told I would receive my results in 24-48 hours. I’m posting this review on Sunday and I have not received a call/test or any information about my results. I had to go to another place during the week and got my results the next day. Truly unacceptable. They also did not have any rapid tests available.

First time I visit. This place is clean. They let me waiting just for a few minutes. Bought our daughter here to get tested for COVID and an RSV panel. Came back positive for RSV. Doctor calls me and I ask her if I can get a note so my daughter can go back to school. Doctor says so long as there is no fever it’s fine and just give the school the RSV test. School wants a return to school letter. I call Chai and they tell me my friend can come pick it up. My friend gets there and they said no one called them and they can’t give her anything. I call again and now they tell me she needs to get re-evaluated. I’ve heard complaints about this place but I thought people were just being too nit-picky or whatever; but this place needs to shape up. I brought my daughter to school thinking I’d get the letter and now I’m at work and have to go back. I would’ve bought my daughter in had I known in the first place when I spoke to someone about it (who apparently I never talked to; must’ve been a ghost).

Dr. Edgaryn was very patient, thorough, efficient, pleasant, and professional. Provided quick medical attention for my daughter. MA Cassandra made us feel like she cared and did her best to try to solve our situation as if she were caring for her own family. She was also very patient, thorough, efficient, pleasant, and professional. The staff at the front desk gave us prompt and pleasant attention. We were done in an hour. Chai Urgent Care in Jersey City is a GEM!!

Absolute class and care with this team. I’ve just received stitches due to a gym mishap (440 retro fitness review soon come). Dr. Edgar and the three team members were absolutely professional. Went there today and received excellent service. I set up an appt on the same day to get a covid test and the process was quick and easy. Shout out the Janeice who was working the front desk— she was super helpful and kind, and went above and beyond to assist me with my insurance info. She was a dear! This place was spacious and clean and i hope to come back here regularly since the whole process was pretty seamless!

I needed a Covid test done for school. I waited until the last minute to get this done and arrived at the clinic after the “cut-off” time for patients. The techs were very accommodating and I was in and out within minutes! Thank you all so much!
