Excellent food food except... As crazy as this sounds the pancakes are the worst I ever had. it tasted like a dry buttermilk biscuit they require a gallon of water as you drink. Extremely crumbly see for yourself from the picture. I ordered sausage bacon eggs and ham as well, it all taste good, go for the other food.

Phenomenal! My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday and I was expecting a wait, but to my surprise we were seated immediately. Bonus: they have a parking lot, street parking is always terrible in jersey city. We both got pancake wraps and hash browns on the side. I also got a mimosa. Will definitely be back, such a cute spot with amazing food. Like a diner vibe but definitely better. Fair prices

I have to say that every time we come here there is never a bad time.. YESSSS the wait is ridiculously long sometimes.. some days you will get in within 10 mins other you have to wait like 25/35 mins but the food is pretty good.. I’m going to start with my favorite⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Avocado Toast - literally to die for!!!! They have different ways to enjoy it but I like mine with feta and tomatoes 9/10 for sure!!! Grits w/ Sausage & Shrimp- I liked it but it wasn’t my favorite until I asked for some shrimp sauce and a little salt.. 8/10 Nutella & Strawberry Pancakes - Delish!!!! 9/10 Regular Sunny Side-up Eggs with Sausages and Fries 9/10 really good cooked perfectly!!!! Overall the place is really good!!!!

Such delicious breakfast treats. The waffle breakfast sandwich was amazing as we the omelette and the Nutella pancakes. Our waitress was super attentive and kept the coffee coming. Would love to go back!

The food share was huge and we only finished half. The coffee category is over priced in my opinion. But the taste was good. Personally, I like Waffle Honey Chicken. The menu has a large variety to choose from. Not sure if it’s because of Covid-19, it gives me a feeling of being understaffed. Every staff was super busy. When we were waiting to check out, we waited a quite while. That’s the only thing I can complain. Overall amazing experience and I would highly recommend. Definitely will visit back again.

I was waiting for a to go order while sitting at the bar. Had to wait over 30 minutes for them to even ask me my name again and bother to look for the order. When I had first gotten to the bar there was 4 milkshakes just sitting there I thought to myself that they were not going to be served 30 mins later they decorated those same milkshakes that had been sitting there in the open for however long flies landing on it and all they decorated them and served them out to people … then one of the servers came back with one of the milkshakes and said a customer said it was bad then he proceeded to dip a straw in and put the straw in his mouth to taste it …. Then He started to make a new milkshake when they found out that their milk had gone bad instead of fixing it the lady at the front with the red hair told him all their other milk had gone bad too and just taste the milkshake the waiter made the new milkshake with the bad milk … and then to make matters worse he used that same old straw and put it inside the new milkshake to taste it … then took that same drink and served it out …. Just disgusting had to cancel my order after seeing all of that… DONT COME HERE

Service was top notch. The hot cocoa selection was surprisingly extensive and I ended up getting the one with the marshmallows and graham crackers as recommended and I was not disappointed. The fried chicken and waffles was good but I recommend sharing it since it's a pretty big portion.

Surprisingly, the pancakes are my least favorite thing here. Twice they’ve been pretty dry and mostly rely on the copious toppings to make up for it. But they excel at having a lot of variety, and throw those same toppings on a waffle and you get a really decadent splurge. Food and drinks are decidedly average in quality, but the service is great. Go expecting decent diner quality and fun drink options (slightly overpriced given the pours) and you’ll probably enjoy yourself.

I actually miss the dad when bused to run the place. Yes things must move on and they must change, but does it have to always be to take away the food? I have been coming here for yrs now and I do have to admit that I have been going elsewhere because the freshness of the food has gone down and so has the quantity. I am super ok with the prices going up since the place has been redone, but geez 🙄 did you have to take a pork chop away and a slice of bread away…like really … charge more but give less?! Also the home fries has definitely taken a dive. Used to be fresh potatoes 🥔 that someone’s old uncle cooked in the back that knew how to get the stuff done, to now serving out of the freezer fry them up stuff. Today the pork chops smelled old and the toast I had to ask because they only give it to you only if you ask. The waitress was very lovely 😊 at least. And the place was 80% empty at 10:23am. Just still having a hard time letting the place go, but after today I am sure I can move on. Wishing the business the best and hope they go back to being the best breakfast spot. Thank you.

Came here New Year's Early for Brunch for the first time and it was packed like you would imagine.However our party of 3 was seated promptly and our waitress was sweet. Food came out in a good amount of time.The food was also great I especially loved their home fries, bacon, sausage and eggs I got the Grilled pork Chop with eggs and home fries. Of course their pancakes are Delicious we tried the banana walnut pancakes..My son got a cheeseburger of some sort with the works I dont can't recall what was all on it but he definitely enjoyed it. Great Experience. Would go back.

Probably the only brunch place in JC with a lots of parking. Service was great! Had the corned beef hash which had great flavours. The Cajun Shrimp grit lacked a bit of seasoning but it was still very good. The pancake though was the best! It had huge portions and tasted very good. Great value for money brunch place!

Amazing time at Life Pancake Company! We went for breakfast, the restaurant was clean. Staff members super friendly and accommodating. The service was on point. I got the Greek Egg Sandwich and its delicious with a side of French Fries, super crispy and well done. The location has a parking lot. Great for a quick breakfast, and the menu has great options of Pancakes and French toast. Absolutely recommended for a solo, friends date, and/or family gathering.

Came for Mother’s Day the wait was expected. I would to start by saying this use to be my favorite place. But today the waitress looked like she took her apron out of the dumpster, her shirt was a lintball festival. And to top it off she served me a bottle of water and my tea cup with Snots yes snots on it. It turned my stomach. It’s a shame that owners allow workers to look this way. And my mom tried to excuse the waiter because they were up in age. No excuse at all for me. God knows what really goes on in the kitchen. This is why I don’t eat out, did this for my mom.

Good food. I ordered the Country Fresh Eggs with Grilled Chicken. The chicken could have been warmer but it was still good. My husband had the chocolate-chip waffle and he loved it! Very good service! We will go back! ☺️

The food was pretty good. There is a large variety of toppings for pancakes, waffles, and french toast. The french toast was light and fluffy. The turkey sausage was really good. Eggs were cooked well, but not seasoned. The "large" cup of juice we were charged for was really small (in comparison to other similar establishments). Service was ok. There was a lengthy wait to get drinks and food after we ordered. Our waitress said they were short of a cook. The atmosphere was H O T - and not in a good way. It felt as hot inside as it did outside. If the temperature wasn't so unpleasant I may have been able to deal with the slow service a little better.

Amazing brunch! I got the steak and eggs, and my husband got an omelette and we loved it. We also got a short stack of pancakes and they were SO good! Wonderful service, and we loved that they had free parking since it’s always tough to find parking in jersey city. They also had the option of ordering anything on the menu gluten free for a $3 charge which was nice. Highly recommend!!

Good good, barely good finish it but very tasty pancakes at an affordable price. Service was a little slow and coffee was a tiny bit weak but that’s me being critical, would definitely recommend especially for a breakfast

Friend once called me "Plain Jane" for what he deemed were less than creative menu choices. And years later, I find the perfect item for me: the Plain Jane Buttemilk pancakes, and I ordered of course, and they were excellent, thick and large and fresh. Dining area was pleasant and service good too. Recommended.

Yum yum!!! Ate to my hearts delight! The pancakes were amazing along with everything else - just look at how humoungous my Turkey sausages were! Love that they had this substitution!!! Very reasonable pricing and just an overall great experience!

All of the staff was great. I was served by alexa s and she was exceptional. Place is clean, staff sharp, coffee hot and continuous. It has more tjen just great pancakes 🥞 but yeah yhe pancakes are amazing. I had the combo. 3 giant pancakes filled with strawberry blueberries and apple. I didnt need to add syrup. Almost too much to eat. They offer gluten free.

This place used to be the Brownstone but I guess they changed the name. The food is very similar and the ambiance is that of your typical diner. The pancakes weren’t the fluffiest but they were good. We tried the showstopper and the buckwheat blueberry. You can order pretty much anything here. Eggs benedict was decent. I would come back if I crave diner food.

Been here multiple times but today the place fell short. Our waiter seemed very distracted and we barely saw him. I got the pancake wrap original which was great. And I did the peanut butter and banana smoothie.. all you tasted was milk blended with the ice cubes. My friend got something like a sampler. Which was suppose to come with pancakes but he never brought it out. Finally when we were done with our meal we were able to flag him down to ask about it he said sorry. Will come back at some point since I do enjoy this place just hope that experience is better

Good quality food. I don’t eat eggs and to my surprise server told me pan cakes don’t have eggs. This was real delight. I loved food here. Liked the avocado toast here, it was bit oily that’s was something I didn’t like. Also, they have dedicated parking which is plus in dowtown.

Solid place with a great diverse menu of pancakes. Great decor inside and ample seating. They have a bar with drinks (which I didn’t try). Service was okay, not great. I would need to come back to try more off the menu just see what else they have. Prices are okay. Parking in the back.

It’s a huge brunch place with massive options to choose from. Loved the service and the food. Mind you, the quantity is more than you can ask for. A little over priced in my opinion. I had the potato omelette and chocolate strawberry pancake with a glass of fresh orange juice.

Came here with my partner & he was enamored by our server lol. She was a mature woman, very polite and patient being it was our first time here. The breakfast was awesome and was glad to know I can come here for my grits fix. They have the consistency just right

Good breakfast spot. Nutella pancakes don’t really have nutella on them, it’s more like some cheap chocolate that does not taste good :/ otherwise the entire experience was good. Keep in mind that they are always busy so expect 35-45 min wait for the food.

First of all, the drinks were okay. The service was good. We were seated fast and serve accordingly. The food: Not so great!. The pancakes are very dry and are like biscuits. They fall apart when you put syrup on them. Shrimp, Sausage and Parmesan cheese Grits was okay. The grits were under seasoned. The Shrimp were salty. They only give you one sausage that is cut up at the bottom. The flies were popping in there. My friend ordered pancake, bacon and eggs. The fly was enjoying her bacon more than she did. My utensils were dirty. I posted a picture because I didn't even use that knife....like what??????

Pretty good. Waitress was super awesome and bubbly. We got the egg and cheese sandwich with ham on a bun. Bun was soft and sandwich was good. The potatoes were amazing!

Banana walnut pancakes have great texture and nice buttery taste. The omelettes are good/average so I’d recommend trying different pancakes. It’s really busy on weekends but staff still do a good job at taking care of customers.

Great food, very friendly staff. We were served by April, she was very friendly, funny, and helpful. The fried chicken waffles order is basically HUGE.

We went on a busy Sunday morning around 11 am. This is the middle of the brunch rush so we expected a bit of a wait, but the food and the wonderful service that our server Ashley provided were well worth the time we spent in line. I ordered the Florentine omelette with feta and spinach, and others in my party ordered iced chai, eggs Benedict, and the dessert French toast, which tasted exactly like apple pie.

I went with my boyfriend and we had such a great time. Our server was Lisa and she was a sweetheart, so attentive and just overall amazing. The food was so good and everything was so quick. We will for sure come back.

Went today to check this place. Building appearance nice, available parking area which is a plus. Checking process not so organized. Inside decorations nicely done. Menu has many options and surprising gluten free is available. Prices are reasonable. No complaints about the food servings are big. My only negative review was the curb appeal not well taken care for such a nice restaurant.
