The taste of the food is just ordinary. You need patience to wait for the food to arrive. About 50-60 minutes after order. Usually when served it is already cold. The unique thing about this restaurant which is also a favorite is that the dining table is located on the beach. On the sand. With beautiful sunset views (sunset starts at 6 pm). Only at night without sufficient lighting the food is almost invisible. Maybe you need a head torch or cell phone flashlight. There is a dining table in the room too with sufficient lighting.

Pretty decent seafood but you’ll smell like smoked crab by the time you leave. Very poor ventilation (the whole restaurant is filled with grill smoke) and those with asthma should stay away.

Came here with Indonesian friends and you will find an array of seafood restaurants when you go to jimbaran. Their sunset is magnificent, needless to say, I've included here 1 photo in this review. But which restaurant to pick??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 Well, this is the one. This restaurant will always be full. Please, book in advance or else you will have to be seated in another restaurant. Their grilled seafood is to die for. The medium sized clams is their famous dish, not forgetting others like fish and prawns are equally fresh... as though you're eating inside the sea!! WARNING ⚠️ - you will return home with a full belly and smelly clothes 🤣🤣🤣 I washed my hair twice and it still smells.. 🤭🤭🤭

My husband and I really like their food but not for the service. It took us 1 hour to get our food, that was the fastest :) When we came here in April 2021, their service was also the same (slow response) even though it was only the two of us here. I hope that Menega can improve the time management in serving the food.

Nice view if you can get table close to beach. Food is average and price is just above average, I guess you pay it for the view. Parking space is a struggle if not difficult. You must park your car about 100 meter away before the restaurant area. You must call for reservation if you want table in front of beach.

Very popular seafood spot, but maybe that's why i didn't like it. Too expensive, i had found somewhere cheaper and nicer before. Food didn't come at the same time. We were told to find a seat and then come back out to order, then the seat we took turned out to be someone elses. Taste was average at the end. It's probably only good for big groups since it has big space.

The view was amazing watching the sunset on the beach. We came here for dinner but we waited for song long maybe during peak hours of dinner. We ordered package for dinner, the menu are fish, scallops, prawn, satay and vegetables. We ordered 3 packages for each, but the food was served cold and not so good, all the dishes are cold and not fresh. This is my first here and not recommended at all.

Nice seafood selection, dine next to the beach at your own leisure. Try to go for grill if possible because that their signature. Grill using coconut husk. Go for fresh too. Wear less to feel ocean wind.

Great place to see sunset in west side of Bali and have a good seafood. There are plenty restaurants on this area, but looking at reviews, Menega has the most reviews so decided to come here. They have wide selection of fresh seafood and the menu will show an extensive list on cooking methods (sauces/grilled/fried etc). Staffs are super friendly, recommend to visit before 6pm, or you wont be getting the outdoor seating to catch the sunset. I think you can enter from either the car park or the beach side, the first thing to do, is grab a table of your preference (ask the waiter for one), remember the table number, then go to the seafood area, choose your fish/prawn/crab/clams/lobster etc, how you want them cooked, tell your table number, go back to your table, wait and enjoy the dinner with beautiful view.

Overlooking the serene Jimbaran beqch, Menega Cafe specializes in freshly grilled seafood. Savor the catch of the day - Fish, Prawn and Lobsters were perfectly grilled with just a kiss of salt and Balinese spices. With succulent prawns, charred on the rustic beachfront grill. No trip is complete without Menega's specialty - giant prawns bathed in garlic butter basting. Enjoy these grilled delights while taking in the breezy seaside setting and waves lapping on the shore. For mouthwatering seafood in Bali, Menega Cafe hits the spot.

Menega Cafe is a hidden gem located right on the beach, offering a truly exceptional dining experience. What sets this place apart is the opportunity to enjoy your meal literally on the beach, with tables set up on the sand. The selection of seafood at Menega Cafe is impressive, with a wide variety to choose from. Whether you're a fan of grilled fish, succulent prawns, or mouthwatering shellfish, they have it all. The flavors are absolutely delicious, and the quality of the seafood is top-notch. While it may be slightly pricier than other options, the experience and the quality of the food make it worth every penny. If you're a seafood lover looking for a memorable dining experience by the beach, Menega Cafe is a definite must-visit.

Came here few times through out the years and is still the most popular out of the whole stretch of seafood restaurant. The food hit and misses. Love the grilled clams most. We came here without reservations around 5.45pm so we didnt need to wait that long for the table. We got the table right near the front, second table 87. Four of us and ordered a bunch of stuff and a bottle of local white wine we spend 1500k. Everything was okay .. the staff as usual u need to call many people for the same thing until one of them bring it to u. I guess patience and no expectations needed to have a gd time here. Most important is the companion that come with you. I do still enjoy coming just for on the beach seafood dinner.

Been going here for years ever since I was little. The place still has the same delicious food but has smaller portions. In the afternoon, the restaurant is much more pleasant to visit as it is less crowded. If you are hoping for a clear view of the sun setting, don't go Nov-Dec, the sun will be setting at the Southeast side of the island. The waiters and waitresses are very busy but they try their best. You will get one or two who is rude though so that can be improved.

Food: tried 3 seafood restaurants in Jimbaran and liked this one the most. Tasty and not overcooked. Service and atmosphere: busy, long waiting times for tables and also for the food. So many people standing behind you, waiting for a table while you are eating. A bit pricey than other restaurants.

Went for dinner at the beach, just before sunset, such a good vibe, in particular when is dark and the hundreds of table candles can be seen. Very hard worker waitresses always with a good smile and whiling to help despite their english. And the fresh grilled fish options just amazing !!!!!

grilled snapper, grilled clams, grilled shrimp, flour squid, plecing kangkung, cah bean sprouts are all presented beautifully both in terms of appearance and taste))

Amazing views no question Food was fine for me. Wife though got very sick from the food. Clams. Be wary of the smoke from grill cooking. Toxic in a word and killed the experience . Clothes need to be washed thoroughly afterwards. Twice. Enjoyed it but won't go back after the smoke and my partner dealing with food poisoning. Make sure you sit as close to the beach to avoid the smoke.

We had a delightful experience. There's the option to choose our fish/crabs/lobsters... straight from the aquariums, allowing us to savor the freshness of the product once it's on the plate. The staff is very friendly, and the view of the beach is stunning. Of course, it's a touristy restaurant, and naturally, the prices are higher compared to the local cost of living. However, what we ate was good, and the value for money is decent.

You have to wait. If you have gotten that into your mind, then you are good to go. The restaurant is located by the seaside with many other similar restaurants. You will be assigned a table and then order at the front. Take note to order the drinks with them as well at the front. And then, wait for the food while enjoying the sea breeze and you might get a sweet corn or some nuts if you can't wait. The set menu portion was definitely enough if you follow their pax. Food was fresh and tasty and I liked the clam most

We had the BEST whole red snapper of our lives here for $16. Sitting in the sand drinking beers. A local band came to play any requests and they were good!! A bit cheesy maybe but soaked it up!! Will definately be back.

Go early if you want to get a table by the sea. We were there late, but we’re okay to sit inside (just be prepared that you’ll smell of bbq - like really really smell!). You can choose the seafood you want, but do note they are not live. The food was excellent though, very fresh and cooked just right. I was particularly impressed by the camaraderie of 3 staff who went back and forth the restaurant with buckets and buckets of used plates. They were clearly having a good time and it was a pleasure to see. It made me really happy to be having dinner at a place where the staff are happy as well

Safe option to eat seafood in the south. Dined there during lunch time, was not crowded. During lunch time the sun might shine brightly, indoor dining obviously lot cooler than outdoor dining. For during until after sunset, outdoor dining is preferable. For me, the food was okay. Was not the freshest seafood I ever had, but it was good enough.

Great food and atmosphere! We came right after sunset and the outdoor area was all occupied. We sat in the indoor area, at the first row next to the beach, I think that was good too, we can eat comfortably with a nice view. We ate kerang bakar, yellow crazy fish, prawn. All grilled and have a great taste.

Pretty good and fresh seafood! The grilled fish is really worth getting! We chose the crazy yellow fish on the cashier's recommendation. Lobster was very very pricey, but was of good quality. Overall a pretty pleasant dining experience!

Seems to be quite a popular restaurant but the service and food is simply lacking. No proper queuing system. Seems like if you want to get allotted a table faster, it depends on who you speak to. We ordered the set menu that comes with fish, prawns, clams, and calamari. On top of that, we added on black pepper king prawns. The “king prawns” arrived way before the other items on the set menu. Just look at the miserable size from the photo. King prawns? Gotta be kidding me. Somehow they look bigger when we were at the counter placing our order, but when served, it just looks like regular sized shrimps. When the set menu food was finally served, they arrived cold. Was not a pleasant meal at all. The meal also comes with coconut but they were sold out of coconut and asked us to choose soft drinks instead. Terrible.

The menu at Menega Cafe primarily focuses on an array of delectable seafood dishes. Fish, prawns, squid, clams, and lobster are just a few of the options available. The seafood is sourced locally, ensuring its freshness and quality. Guests can choose their preferred seafood from the display and have it cooked to their liking. The dishes are cooked using traditional Balinese recipes and techniques, resulting in a rich and flavorful dining experience👍👍👍

Everyone said that this is the signature cafe my company used to visit. I just don’t understand because the best part of the dish only: the clams and the shrimps. This cafe is waaaayyy to crowded and it took so much time to serve the dinner. A lot of miscommunication happened and I swear I won’t be here anymore

Must-tried menu : kerang bakar 👍 They now have more seats at the Menega Wine & Fine Dining. No worry, we can order the same menu, with same price, but with more comfortable place.

Ordered the sunset package and very happy about it. The taste was worth the queue! But yes, again, the queue is definetely the thing here... Or maybe only during the holiday season. The staff was over-powered by the amount of demand, so they became slow respond. But they were all very friendly.
