Had the best time learning about the local artisans and their talent. The wildlife safari was a treat indeed! The meal we had towards the end of the trip was a highlight! Highly recommended 👍

During our stay in Jodhpur, we were able to go on a safari, which took us outside of the city to catch a glimpse of life in the country. We booked a safari trip with Bishnoi Village Safari Tours and it was fantastic! Our guide picked us up at our homestay (Dev Kothi) near the clock tower. He patiently waited for us as we were running a tad late. He then took us to see some wildlife including deer, peacocks and a black buck antelope. Next, he took us to see an opium ceremonial demonstration. The man was also kind enough to show us how to wrap a turban and even put it on my husband! Then we went to the weaver’s house where we were shown how they make the famous dury rugs. The village people and those in the surrounding community spend a month or more making the famous rugs as a source of income in the desert. The people of Jodhpur rely on their handicraft skills as farming in the desert is limited. They are absolutely gorgeous and made from all natural camel hair, cotton, and vegetable dyes. Shambhu, the weaver, gave us a great explanation of the process and demonstrated how it is done. At the weaver’s house, we were treated to authentic lunch and given a tour of the wood burning kitchen. We shared some laughs and really felt at home! Finally before headed home, we stopped by the Potter’s house where we actually could try our hands at creating pottery ourselves! Our work was pretty sad compared to the skillful hands of the pottery maker. We’ll just leave that to the professionals in the future. We had an absolute fantastic time on this safari and highly recommend it. We felt at home on the trip and complete comfort with Om and Shambhu. They welcomed us into their homes, showed us the beauty of the country and gave us a peek into their crafts. A trip well worth it!

Om took us on the "village safari", and we were very satisfied. He's a good guide, and a great guy. We left on time, and he was generous with his time, allowing us to enjoy each place without rushing. In addition, the price was very reasonable. We also liked that we were never pressured to buy anything. In general a very enjoyable day, with a very friendly and professional guide. Recommended.

We had a special time with a Bishnoi Village. It's quite far from the city, but worth to visit. I remember the lunch that's made by your sisters. I remember the taste and smell of kari (Indian food^^), super cool and fresh water in the summer days that's in the special pot. Unforgetable moments. If you guys have time to go there, I think you should talk, ask more, ask to prepare meals with local family. Enjoy.

We did the half day tour, which only ended up being about 2 hours. This was quite disappointing. We only saw pottery and weaving. I'd say it was very overpriced for what you got. Didnt visit any authentic villages, just a pottery workshop and their homestay.

It was a wonderful experience. We started around 11 AM. We spotted peacocks, deer, and endangered blackbuck during our journey through villages. The food they served was authentic RAJASTHANI food. Om is a nice person.

Being a solo traveller, I was skeptical to take a safari with someone unknown. That time I came across Mr Ashok Prajapathi’s link for the Bishnoi Village safari. After reading the reviews and talking to him I was convinced! One of the best experience! I just muttered that I wanted to see an adult Black buck, he drove kms and kms inside just to show a black buck. We actually saw a herd of black bucks✨ The food that their family offered was great too and I will savour the taste lifetime ❤️. I would suggest his name for all the solo trippers as well as the family trippers! Worth the safari🖖🏻

Today I had the most wonderful experience with Village Safari team. As requested, Ashok was at Locomo hostel to pick me up for the safari. It includes ride to outskirts to spot animals - Blackbuck, Peacock and Nilgai. He spend a good time in making me understand the history of Jodhpur, different cultures and caste. Also helped me in understanding different types of trees in the area. Then he takes you to Artisans place- pottery and Dabu hand block printing. I got to try pottery ☺️.Next he takes you to a Bisnoi house and lastly to his house where we have our traditional lunch and understand more about Carpet making which is their family tradition. Overall the trip was really good and worth. I will recommend this to all.

Om was a thoroughly hospitable host and guide. The village safari began with seeing animals in their natural habitat on the outskirts of Jodhpur, including peacocks, peahens, deers and also a black buck! The safari included meeting various artists from block printers to potters to weavers. I even got to make a mud plate myself! At the end of the safari, Om, who runs a weavers co-op society, showed around his community and introduced his family, where his wife served authentic Rajasthani food which was so delicious! What a memorable experience! Thank you, Om!

This tour offers half day off from city life..... Mr. Om was very friendly and accommodating. We went through many villages witnessing pottery, weaving, Block painting skills. We were able make our own pots and got hands on experience of the same. Black buck and deers were sighted twice..... Lastly, we had stomach full of local home made food. I would gladly recommend everyone to take this tour once.

(Translated by Google) A parenthesis in the countryside of Jodhpur, to meet the locals. In one morning Om introduced me to passionate art craftsmen, I also met a Bishnoi family and their own family around a simple but delicious dish, in a peaceful setting. Om is a super guide who is always attentive and professional. An adventure that I recommend to you, if like me you appreciate the spontaneous authenticity of families and their magnificent smiles. Don't not visit here waste of your money.... this guys cost 2000 to 4000 for jungle safari and will say for 2 hrs but as soon as you see even 1 black buck or deer your safari will end there will take back to restorent and regardless of my review incase of you are taking jungle safari from anyone around make sure you it's not mr.mahender bishnoi.... Like cats and dogs roaming around city you will find black buck, deer and peacock roaming around here even on road as(see pictures) well where you can click photos from your own car or tour and travels car you rented as you are indipendent citizen of india but This guy Mr. Mahendra bishnoi is local from around where he not let private cars to stop on road or park side of public road to take pictures of wildlife because by doing this he will not get business and fool tourist.... Again I am saying regardless of my review if you think to go for safari feel free to spend money and then to get disappointed

We had booked the Safari tour with the hope that we would get a fairly good glimpse into traditional Jodhpur and rural Rajasthani life. We were so thrilled with the entire experience of the half day tour. Right from the pick up requested as a part of the tour which was on time and waiting for us at the hotel parking to the very courteous interactions with Mr. Chotaram and Om Prajapati that conducted the tour and introduced us to a traditional Bishnoi tribal experience to the wonderful home cooked food served at the family residence. A highly recommended to-do activity when visiting Jodhpur.

Great experience - as the owner coming from one of the villages itself he gave us such good insights in the traditional handcrafts of the surrounding villages like weaving and pottery ant their rituals. Also we could spot wild animals on the way. At his house homemade Rajasthani lunch was prepared over open fire with amazing taste. It’s also possible to buy handwoven carpets for a fair price. Thanks for the day!

A wonderful glimpse of the quiet village life outside Jodhpur. Hosts are very welcoming and as Bishnoi themselves give you proper non-touristy insight into the culture. Wildlife safari was good, food was better, learning about (and trying out) the local arts and crafts was best. If I go back to Jodhpur I will do it all again.

So I would like to start off by saying that the tour is really good, you are taken on a good trip in the bishnoi villages and the guide om knows people,so he takes you around depending on your requirement. As in you want to explore the culture or photography etc. I would say the bishnoi village in Rajasthan is a must visit .but that being said I would like to tell that the guide om is annoying. The guide om is more bothered about getting himself photographed at times..and he was bugging me after the trip by personal msg's and call every alternate day to process his photos and review the tour. I just blocked his number today. Like seriously isn't that something which I should be doing on my own when my time permits without being bugged by a stranger. I would highly recommend a different tour because of this.
