Overall score 4.8/5 - Food 5/5 - lovely rooftop restaurant - fantastic food at very reasonable prices - with a puppet show and traditional music too (but expect to be incessantly asked for a tip!) Facilities 4/5 - lovely shower and restaurant. Not aware of any other facilities. Aesthetics 5/5 - lovely light and airy feel. Customer care 4.5/5 - helped with bags and lovely room service. Vibe 5/5 - really lovely hotel.

The owner and the staff are very polite. The view of Mehrangarh fort from the hotel is amazing. They can also arrange for local trips. The location though is not too good for anyone with a car since the roads are so narrow an auto rickshaw can barely pass through. The rooms are decent with beautiful old haveli feels but has no windows and hence can be suffocating at times.

(Translated by Google) In the old town with more than 200 years of history, the historic homestay has a fragrant smell of oil and a unique Indian style. The top floor has a great view of Mehrangarh Castle. The boss is very young, handsome and very cute. The service is very thoughtful. There is also a humorous 舅舅 who loves to chat. The home is the house of their family. The overall decoration is designed by the young boss himself. Next to the property is the monument Toorji Ka Jhalra Step Well. There are several boutiques that are very close to me, 3 minutes to the Sardar market, next to a number of cafe shops and restaurants, 10 minutes to Mehrangarh Castle (there are some small shops on the way uphill), geographical location Very convenient. #letsguide

Beautiful home stay. The property is so unique and sends you on a nostalgic trip to your childhood vacation visits to your grandmother's place in the village. Hosts have done a great and commendable job at preserving the old world charm and at the same time provide all the amenities required by the modern day people like wifi, ac, geysers etc. I 100% recommend anyone going to jodhpur to stay at least a night there to experience it all.

Wow. That was my first thought when one of the staff checking me in opened the door to my room. I'd seen photos of this place online and it was one of the reasons I wanted to stay. It was still quite an eye opener when he opened the door. Someone likes their interior design. Really, really nice. So check in was quick and painless, the staff were friendly and cheery. It wasn't the easiest place to find because there was only a chalkboard outside the door displaying the name, we drove by it. But it's literally right by the stepwell (Toorji Ka Jhalra). Note: Your driver, if you have one, CAN park outside until you unload your bags, that was not a problem, don't listen to anyone who says there is no room for cars by the stepwell area, utter rubbish (I've posted a photo and labelled both the home stay & the stepwell, I hope that's acceptable by Google Maps), you can clearly see traffic in the photo. I loved the bed, possibly orthopedic, big thick mattress, firm too. Although the room had a dark cozy feel to it, it was really clean, bathroom too. The only thing I would recommend is that the owners add a small fridge – bottled water is not nice to drink warm....having said that, one of the staff kept giving me water bottles from the fridge downstairs by reception and told me to help myself whenever I needed one :) Really appreciated that, so thank you! The ac unit in my room was very effective, there was a fan too. Various toiletries were provided including hair drier, ear plugs – the noise wasn't too bad outside though. Other extras included a little bookshelf with reading material on it to borrow (Lonely Planet India, no less). This was my third stay in Jodhpur and this is my favorite hotel so far.

The hotel stuff treated us like friends and not like tourists. They warn you from scams and shops you should not buy from. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious.

The location is amazing. It's right next to the toor ji ka jhalra. The best part is they have kept the essence of the fort without modifications, new paints. The art cafe is another special attraction. The only thing I was upset about is that, their rooftop cafe is not operational anymore.

It is a very great place to stay! The staff is very friendly and helped us with everything! The rooms are clean, beautiful and lovely! From the roof top you have a beautiful view to the fort, the stepwell and over the city.

Very great place for stay and couples friendly. All the staff is very friendly, polite.Room is very clean and all the amenities are available inside the room. Also the cafe and homestay combo is cool. You can get all the types of food stuff which is delicious. They help us to book cabs, where to have your dinner or lunch. If anyone planning for 3 days this is the best homestay.

We were a small group of 6 ladies who stayed there in 1st week of December. It is a cosy homestay tucked away in the older town of Jodhpur. The rooms are done very tastefully reflecting the rajasthani culture & heritage. They were very neat & clean. Food was very tasty and very pure..for ex, they had given us fresh fruit juice instead of pouring out from tetra packs as is the case with many hotels these days. The hospitality was top notch and we got a home like feeling during our stay there. Don't expect high end luxury. But it is a must for those who would love to try an offbeat accomodation option. Would totally recommend it!

Delighted to be here. Amazing rooms and beautiful decorations. A blend of heritage and modern infrastructures. There the the most famous cafe in town on the ground floor. You can even buy nice heritage artefacts. Though there is less options in the food menu, but the quality is good.

  • 5/5 Oliver B. 1 year ago on Google
Staff made us feel very welcome and gave good food guides for the area as well as offering to help with other requests. The room was clean, showed a lot of Rajasthan's history and felt truly unique. Great value for money and the cafe next door does banging coffee.

So impressed with this home stay. The staff were amazing , the food was probably some of the best I’ve had travelling India. Antiques in the room, lobby and restaurant were really eye catching.View of the Mehrangarh Fort was excellent from room window. The rooms were spacious, super clean, the beds extremely comfortable and hot water was consistent. I’d stay here again for sure!

It is a boutique hotel, very inconscipous from outside. But inside it is a comfortable museum. Converted house 200 years old. With modern amenities. There is a curio at every corner, most of antiques are on sale. Bought one very good Jharoka. Cafe is excellent and breakfast too good. It is in the by lanes of Jodhpur next to the step well. Terrace has beautiful views. Adding roof top restaurant which got suspended due to Covid-19

We had booked this boutique hotel for 4 days. Then we were to visit Bikaner and be back to Jodhpur and had booked some other place to stay. But once we stayed over at this boutique home stay for first 2 days, we actually cancelled the other place and ended up staying here (total of 6days) after visiting Bikaner so says a lot about how much we loved it here! Very welcoming space and people. We had a cozy and comfortable stay all throughout. Sam was very helpful, he detailed out how we can explore around and where all we should visit, can skip visiting etc. The location is FAB! Very close to all places you would want to visit like Ras hotel, Toorji ka jhalra, Ghanta ghar and all the shopping around, lots of restaurants & cafes around, just few meters away from old city and only 2kms from railway station. The restaurant on top of the hotel with a great view of Mehrangarh fort is just amazing! Food we ordered like Gulab jamun ki sabji (suggested by Sam) with soft chapatis was very comforting for a winter evening. This is an honest review, & I have traveled so much & I found this gem of a place so don't think twice before booking this home stay! Thank you Sam!

Really good hotel, it was a ancestral house turned into a beautiful hotel, its just beside the step well (Toorji ka jhalra). It has all amenities that a hotel needs to have, and also you get a nice view from top of Mehrangarh fort.

Travel date - 23.10.2021 - Location - easily accessible close by to ghanta ghar ans beside steps well Reception - antique most as u can expect with a courteous Shantanu at the seat to welcome you Rooms and service was really amazing and gives u a real royal Rajasthani touch everywhere Roof top cafe is good and basically equipped to service you but gives a gr8 view of the fort in Sam's cafe next door of this hotel is offering you the best to drink and snack on while ur staying close-by

A great example of "Perfect Hospitality " , stay was comfortable, rooms clean and tidy with a beautiful rustic look, food was amazing !! I would like to quote this very scenario which was really appreciative !! "after I checked out I realized I had forgotten my stuff back at their place, so I reached out to them and they addressed it with due diligence and I received my stuff through courier". I would recommend this place to all the visitors to Jodhpur :)

I stayed almost a week in arch boutique & overall had a nice experience. It’s a 300 year old property managed by 4 brothers. To start with the location is located in heart of the city with all major attractions at walkable distance. The famous Mehrangarh Fort is just 5 mins walk away from the place. The rooms are sufficient for two people. The roof-top view is awesome. The USP of the property is the staff members as they will not hesitate to go the extra mile to assist you. They all are friendly and you will get a very good local knowledge interacting with them. The only scope of improvement is for food. It was good most of the time but in some instances not up to the mark. If in Jodhpur, I will recommend you to stay to take an authentic feel of the Rajasthani culture.

If you have enough squeeze room in your budget, do NOT miss out on staying here! We got our room for a fairly cheap rate because we visited during the off-season. Sadly, we only had one night here. The staff is friendly and courteous and the rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated! Also, well equipped! They also have an amazing art Cafe alongside the stay where they continue to surprise with the decor. Also, some of the display items are for sale! Reasonably priced menu and again, warm customer service. Furthermore, if you have time in the evening don't forget to go for the walking tour, also available at this magical place!

We had the privilege of exploring Jodhpur with an exceptional tour guide of the hotel. Our guide Mayank was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate when it came to introducing us to the history, culture, and sights of this fascinating city. Please ask for him if you need a guide through the city. He led us to the hidden gems of Jodhpur, imparting the stories behind the historic buildings and monuments and patiently answering all our questions. His enthusiasm for the city was infectious, making the tour an unforgettable experience. Furthermore, our guide was extremely accommodating and flexible to ensure that we had the best possible experience. His commitment to our satisfaction was evident, and it was clear that he loves his craft. We ate a few sweets that was in incredible tasty too! If you're visiting Jodhpur and seeking a top-notch tour, I highly recommend this tour guide. He exceeded our expectations and made our trip truly special. Thank you for this unforgettable experience! The hotel was fascinating and very good too, we had a very good time here overall.

Lovely place, large and nice boutique-style rooms. The attached restaurant (Sam’s) is quite expensive though (on the 2nd glance: tax and service charge)! But there are some good and inexpensive places just around the corner. If you have some time left, book the guided walking tour with Mayank at the hotel’s reception. He does a great job and explains a lot!

It was a great stay at The Arch! Mayank and his team were very friendly and helpful. The location was great, near the Fort and the city centre. The room was beautiful and very peaceful. If you have time, do the city tour with Mayank, it was a nice way to discover Jodhpur.

We visited in September, before the peak season. Even then the rooms were very clean and well maintained. The AC was in top condition, cooling the room pretty quickly. The step well is literally next door. My taxi dropped me off a little far away from the homestay, the staff helped us getting it to the room as well. Expect a little disturbance and honking from two wheelers till 11 pm. It gets really quiet after that for a peaceful sleep.

Super, unique 200 year old hotel! And for less than €15 a night is crazy value! It was a great experience sleeping in a room with so much history. The hotel is artistically decorated with old antiques and local art. The rooms are clean, with comfy beds, air conditioning and beautiful lighting. Staff was also great and we went on a walking tour with Mayank which was really cool as we seen lots of little streets most tourists don't and learnt lots about the blue city and Jodhpur's history. Not only that but it was a really personable experience to walk and talk with Mayank, and chat about all sorts or subject. All in all a wonderful hotel experience.

This is the coolest place we have stayed at in India. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have unique original features. The staff were exceptionally good. The lad who helped us check in, Mayank, is one of the friendliest and most helpful people we have met in a hotel. Without a doubt the best place to stay in Jodhpur, not just for the decor but for the amazing value for money.

  • 5/5 Elisa V. 9 months ago on Google
Family owned business in the most beautiful period building with so many original features in the heart of Jodhpur. Very clean, comfortable mattresses, little extras provided and amazing hospitality. I was a solo traveller but have been looked after since my arrival. I wanted to see Jodhpur with a local’s eyes so I asked Sam, one of the owners if anyone could take me around. Mayank works there and he is part of the extended family. For a fee (of course) he shares his passion for his city and took me to the most incredible places, including a hang out for locals in the evening. He explained in detail everything I was seeing Next door a beautiful traditional cafe with delicious food and coffee. Thank you everyone! Memorable trip. Keep up the good work and I will see you again next time I will be in Jodhpur Love Elisa

We had stay for a night just to have experience of living in an old house. And it was more than what we expected. House is full of artifects and paintings. Also, it is located 2min walk from clock tower market. If you stay there, dont forget to have tea or beer on rooftop in the evening to devour majestic view of Mehrangarh fort.

The staff was really helpful, amazing manager. Room was clean, spacious, we felt charming atmosphere there and it was memorable stay. Food is possible to get in cafeteria at the ground floor. Unfortunately during our stay there was electric outage, no power for couple of hours, but not a big deal.

Amazing homestay in a beautiful Haveli. Prime location from wehrte you can reach everything in walking disctance. Super clean, charming rooms and a super helpful team. I highly recommend you doing the sunset tour with them. A unique experience where you see all the hidden gems. A great cafe belongs to the place, amazing cappuccino 🙏🏻. Close to the stepwell, nice to sit and enjoy the ambiance in the evening there. Don’t even hesitate to book this place.

The old world vibe here will transport you! The attached cafe has excellent espresso and conveniently great meals. Room was spacious and authentically decorated. The location cannot be beat, so easy to start exploring on your own by foot. Most of all the brothers who run this homestay are amazing! They helped us prearrange our airport pickup as requested. We had a fun and adventurous walking tour with one brother, and bought some beautiful antiques from the other, who went out of his way to arrange delivery. My friend also left her phone in a taxi and they went to great lengths to retrieve it. We had perfect lattes each morning. The whole experience was nonstop hospitality and authenticity. In every way each of the hosts went above and beyond to make it a fantastic time in Jodhpur!

We are 3 friends traveling India 6th time. And choosing this place in Jodhpur for 2 night stay was like the gift we received. The location, the house, the decorations, the food..everything was perfect. But the most and main gem of this hotel are people working here, everyone was so friendly and welcoming, we felt like between good friends. Want to say special Thank you to manager Mayank whose advises about places to visit, to eat, to shop were very very valuable. He also helped us to solve pretty serious problem we had that time with some traveling issues. We suggest this place for anyone who want to expierence the hotel with beautiful mood.

Arch Boutique Home stay is a wonderful place to spend a few days in Jodhpur. Location is just superb, being close to the happening places in the city. The spacious rooms and common areas have a vintage interior design style as well as lighting and staying there is indeed a unique experience. Bathrooms and other fittings though are very modern and contemporary, so that tourists get the best of both worlds. Shantanu is a very gracious & caring host and helps you with your travelling/adventure activities etc if needed. The Sam's Art Cafe on the ground floor, run by his elder brother also serves delicious multi-cuisine food which is lip-smacking, reasonable priced and with generous portions. Not to be missed, highly recommended

We stayed at this boutique hotel in October. Our stay was amazing !! The staff is super courteous. Shantanu (Sam) was really helpful ..be it for booking cabs or guiding us around the place. Sandeep (chef) with the help of Rahul, Vijay and others took care of my Jain diet requirements which was difficult to get there. The food was tasty and fresh !! The view of the place is beautiful.. it overlooks the entire fort.. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting Jodhpur ✨

Excellent hospitality and Architecture. The homestay is located quite near to Toorji ka Jhalra(30 Seconds walk) and offers an amazing view of the mighty Mehrangarh fort from its rooftop. They have a cafe which serves really delicious food and beverages and a rooftop restaurant with a fort view. Shantanu is a great host and helped me with last minute transportation in a very impartial manner. The homestay has quite an aesthetic look with interiors made from local Jodhpur Chittar stones. The rooms are quite spacious, with good lighting arrangements, mine was having a balcony as well. The local market is at a walkable distance and the homestay is also attached with a historic walkable route to the fort (15 mins walk). Overall my stay was excellent and would love to visit this place again and would definitely recommend it to my friends.

We found Arch boutique through online search when we were exploring authentic Jodhpur Heritage home stays. Spoke to Shantanu who is both clear and courteous and made our bookings in advance for the Diwali stay. We spent 3 nights in this absolute heart of the city delight. Right from their hospitality, soft spoken and eager to help staff, to clean and spacious well decorated haveli rooms, our stay has been above par. It was a stay with all moden facilities in a completely authentic 200+ year old haveli. Sam's art cafe inside the heritage property is a foreign tourist hangout. I would highly recommend the entire range of food here- the original flavours and herbs used- right from italian to continental to indian food. Great attitude. Great rooms and property. Great memories.

Don't let it being only a 2 star hotel put you off. It was great value for money. A clean big room with wonderful architecture details of an old building. Old photos everywhere. Wish the bathrooms matched that design. But can't complain as they were clean and not tiny. Service was wonderful. Coffee in the cafe excellent. It's close to the now clean stepwell and the trendy RAAS hotel. Their photos are accurate. Our room was close to the street which can get a little noisy.

Placed in the heart of Jodhpur, The Arch Boutique Home Stay is an authentic jewel of style and kindness. Some days ago, my friend and I were welcomed with a sincere smile by Sam, the young and smart guy at the reception. He is just great! When we have arrived he's given us a plan of the city and in some minutes he's set up for us a quick tour to enjoy the city and its charming beauties. The room (with air conditioned) was huge and finely decorated in local spirit and some vintage touch, with a magical view on the Mehrangarh Fort. Little statues of gods and Maharajas in illuminated niches, an oriental carpet and many other details granted us a deep immersion on the rich and charming past of Jodhpur. Coming out of the hotel, right on your left you will have a breathless view on the awesome Step Well Toorji Ka Jhalra. At night, we were invited by Sam to eat a tasty Dosa with his family at the rooftop were we have enjoyed the most beautiful view on the Mehrangarh Fort of Jodhpur. We felt more than hosts, but welcomed friends. Highly recommended!

You should stay here if you’re looking for an amazing vibe of heritage Rajasthan! The haveli is crafted with antique and heritage art collection! The room was beautiful and comfortable, staff was very accommodating and the location is just perfect! On the rooftop, you get an amazing view of the Mehrangarh Fort and the surrounding Blue City! If you’re staying here, you will meet Sam and his team - who will go any mile to help you and make you feel home! :)

Truly boutique and unique! . This has to be one of the unique stays I've ever stayed in. This is basically a old Haveli converted into a hotel with all the modern day amenities with the rustic old touch. It is besides Toorji ka Jhalra stepwell and close to Ghanta Ghar. You get an amazing view of the Mehrangarh fort from the rooftop. What makes your stay more pleasurable is the extremely hospitable owner and the staff. They're more than happy to help. Also, they have a beautiful cafe on the ground floor which you must try, we later found out that the cafe was one of the top rated ones in the city!

We have stayed as a family of 4 in two rooms for a day in October 2nd week. The rooms are clean and spacious. Food was good and service was great in restaurant. We had both Breakfast and dinner buffet, which was included in our room package, has limited selection but was good. They have also provided early check in for 1 room. We personally felt Staffs were really supportive.

Racist owner. Indians please don't bother staying at this place. I had a booking with them but found out that the owner, being Indian, prefers foreign guests over Indian guests. He cancels Indian nationalilty booking in favour of foreign ones.

Only went for breakfast and was excellent! Service was superb and the views were fantastic (fort and old city). Location couldn't be better, next to a beautiful pond/well. We ordered aloo parantha with kurd and was very tasty.

Such a wonderful family run haveli. We were treated like part of their family and the breakfast and dinners are great. The rooms are large, simply furnished and comfortable. There is a spectacular view of the Mehrangarh Fort from the rooftop eating area. Sam runs the haveli with his uncle who is the cook and their plans are to include a coffee bar on the ground floor with Italian lavazza coffee soon.
