After a long week, it was nice to unwind with the sounds of Portuguese artists & an smile that waters your taste buds. Frank & the team kept the mood positive despite my daughter being a busy body.. Must do Calisto's again, alone, for their platter for 2 (1) meal.

Really had a good time at Calisto's. We had a family lunch (9 people). The service was extremely friendly, Primrose was our waitress and she was very helpful and very friendly. The food was very good and tasteful, they serve quality meals. They have a nice play area for kids where they have a lady watching to make sure they are safe, she seems to be very good with children and get them to connect with each other a bit to play together. Definitely a highly recommend restaurant.

Every food item we tried are delicious. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I had been visiting this place regularly with my friends. It's highly recommended because of delicious dishes and service from management who constantly come and check its top notch!

One of the best if not the best Portuguese restaurants I have eaten at. The prawns were amazing. I had heard about Calistos from various people but never visited - I have certainly been missing out all these years. Exceeded all expectations. Well done to all involved. 👍👍👍

We hadn't been to Calisto's for quite a while and decided to treat ourselves. We both had starters of sticky BBQ wings followed by the prawn special of 10 medium prawns. Finished off with chocolate mousse and cappuccino with cream. Service was excellent and when our waiter Diego was busy we were helped by other waiters who came to ensure that we were attended to promptly. Food arrived hot and may have remained hot longer had it been on good old fashioned hot plates, but that would be my only complaint

The food is absolutely great and reasonably priced. They also have some great specials for those on a tight budget. Service is excellent. My waiter Zandile/Zanele (didn't hear her clearly because of the mask) was also really attentive and gave us great recommendations.

I always look forward to returning to Calisto's. Food, service and atmosphere is always amazing, whether it's just the two of you, a catch-up with the girls or a group of friends or family!

We eat here often and I've had to change my initial review because honestly the service and food has always been excellent until now. Went for quick dinner it was late to give context but the service started okay and then after getting my order wrong, the service nose dived and the food and presentation was heartbreaking because I am used to enjoying my meal. Don't think I'll go back after this last experience. Sad that the hard work and legacy of the restaurant can be let down by a few individuals who don't care to treat clients fairly. Thanks to all.

The food is in desperate need of improvement. We ordered a side of "squid heads" which were exceptionally salty (to the point that it made our eyes water). The manager did offer a replacement - we selected chicken wings to the same value - which was also ridiculously salty! The side of chips we ordered was quite oily and not all were fully cooked. The "recommended" Gin & Tonic was awful - frozen fruit instead of fresh fruit - plus, we had to pay for extra fruit to be added, which would not be a problem if the fruit was Fresh! The prices of the items ordered were a bit high given the poor quality of the food - certainly not worth it. Truly disappointing. The Service was substandard. Throughout our time at the restaurant, our Waitress disappeared on us and only checked in on us after other staff members had already assisted. The atmosphere on a normal night is average and bland. However, we attended on the day of the Rugby World Cup Final, so naturally the atmosphere was much better.

Experience was great, service excellent, love the fact that the play area was so clean keep up the sanitization and good work. Tantalizing food tastebuds was yearning for more although the tummy couldn't handle too much but still licking lips and fingers lol.. will most definitely calling again!

Great place to dine. Family restaurant that has been here for ages. We recently visited for a birthday celebration. Great service and good food. The great decor and layout brings on a nice and relaxed feel.

Absolutely mouth watering....Everything was just perfect. Love the fact that everything we ordered had so much of sauce🤤🤤 Just a suggestion maybe warm the rolls, that will be really nice😍 Also when we set in the lounge the barman was very helpful, tasted the cheeky pomegranate tonic with the Gin and it was soooo yummy!!!! Awesome place with great ambiance. Food was excellent and not at all pricey. Has a big variety of food and drinks... even cocktails. Has a big section for kids to play. Also a smoking section and just loved the fireplace.... also had gas heaters all over as it was raining and a bit cold the time I visited. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back soon and will definitely recommend it to anyone.....

The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing! It is very comfy and homely. The staff are all very friendly. The food is on another level, personally I've been to two other calisto's restaurants and neither of those come close to the quality and taste that you get at this one. I definitely cannot wait to go back!
