This MOTEL, not a hotel is not what you see in the photos. Don’t waste your money. The rooms are dirty. They have nice linens but the smell of pot and urine is unbearable. I could not believe they charged me even though I never stayed because I did not feel safe. I even asked to change the room and got one just as bad. That’s when I said I just could not risk anything happening in the middle of night. The locks were lose and no 2nd security lock in the room. Person hanging out under stairs. It looked like a pay per hour Motel. I think it’s false advertisement and if your coming for the University don’t stay here with your child. Don’t do it! I had to go and look for another location to stay the night because I just did not feel safe with my daughter. It was not cheap either. It’s a shame and no apology or attempt to give me a credit they charged me the full amount. It’s horrible!

Can't believe they charge so much for such a dump. Immediately after checking in , went to use the bathroom and their sewer was backed up. Complained Immediately and multiple times after and nothing . We had to call them three times for them to even come. No apologies or discount , they proceeded to switch us to three other rooms before they found one where the sewer wasn't backed up. Saw bugs on the ceiling buy couldn't identify before I fell asleep. Ice machine and wash machine is permanently broke and has been broke for years because they are too cheap to fix them. Just as expensive as hotels much nicer . Do yourself a favor and spend just a little more to get something much nicer

DO NOT RECOMMEND. As we were checking in, a couple came in requesting another room, stating the bathroom had not been cleaned at all— wonderful. As in previous reviews, we checked in after 10pm so we had no choice but to stay. At first glance the room doesn’t look terrible. It’s old. There have been attempts made to update it, but the closer you look the uglier it gets. My room did not smell, but other details were hard to ignore. One drawer in the dresser didn’t open and the other two that did— would not close. Dead bugs in the room and in the light fixtures (some still alive), cigarette burns on the curtains, stains on the walls and bed linens?? The bathtub was a horror show. Rust, stains, grime… gross. Brown stains on the back of the bathroom door— don’t even want to know what that was…The towels were the quality I would use to wipe up a spill in the garage— pretty much rags. The bed was awful— like sleeping on a pullout couch and the springs creaked every time you moved. The pillows were paper thin. There were definitely some noisy and sketchy people hanging around. Never again!!!! Don’t waste your money here!

We arrived, and there were guesses outside drinking and smoking weed, very noisy, and they needed to change us bc of the noise. In addition to this, they hold my 200$ deposit. They are saying there were damages in the room. Totally not honest people

Kept smelling marijuana every time I went outside and even in our room. I don't do drugs and have a 7 years old boy so wasn't cool. Make sure you lock your car!!!!

I stayed here quite a bit when my house was being remodeled. It was cheap and they made quite a bit of $$ off of me.Not fond of the creepy people drinking and throwing beer cans in the parking lot. I have had a few stays with a dirty bathroom. So I hadn't stayed there in awhile and when I tried to rent a room I was surprised to find myself on the Do Not Rent list. Apparently they have accused me of stealing a blanket. I was insulted in front of other guests at check in and I was just in shock. I didn't steal ANYTHING. Now I call a manager who said I can never rent there again. WTAF? Falsely accusing people of being thieves. Hey Red Roof... NO ONE wants your cheap blankets.

I got here and checked in. I was given my room key which didn’t work and had to go back down to the front desk to tell them, they had to come and unlock it with a key. The TV doesn’t work and the room is absolutely disgusting. The rugs had stains and the bathroom was quite dirty and obviously hadn’t been cleaned. There was multiple hairs on my bed which told me it hadn’t been cleaned. After a couple hours of staying here, I found a roach on the wall. I immediately packed my bags and left, the employee was understanding and I was able to get a refund on my stay here. I’ll unfortunately not be coming back.

Worst hotel I have walked into. If you look this place up to book, don’t. Trust me. I looked at the price (red flag!) and then looked at the pics (same look/just way dirty). Parked and first thing I see is a couple high on “something” racing towards my their car beside mine and sped off. Creepy. Walked through front door to check in, smashed glass on the bottom panel. Guy at desk seemed nice… walked into hotel room. Holes in wall, hair on the sheets and pillows, stains on the coverlets, sheets worn so thin you can see through them. Blood looking stain above doorway inside with flying insects stuck to it. I immediately booked the Hampton Inn down the street for double the price and checked out.

The room was basic and clean but not many amenities. The service was okay but no one was in the office when I arrived so it was a bit frustrating to track an employee down. I would stay here again.

My room was not clean at all. I saw traces of guacamole and tacos on walls and surfaces. Remote wasn't working. No clean toilet paper. I saw a cockroach. Front desk guy doesn't seem to want to work. I just needed a place to sleep for the night but that was a terrible experience. Although other times the rooms were okay and clean like 3-4 years ago I'm not sure why it declined.

Travel Nurse.... No heat!!! and cable not working in my room. Too late at night to switch rooms, I get up at 4. Online says $58 for a room. I paid $82. Old style mattresses with springs in them. Pillow cases are stained. Comforter is dirty, luckily I bring my own blankets. Fridge is not cold. Microwave dirty on outside. . VERY DISSATISFIED.

The place has potential if the money was spent on renovations.. The rooms are definitely in need of improvements. There was a strange smell in my room with minor imperfections all over. The toilet continuously would run water periodically throughout the night, and my key card was a pain to get it to register the door lock. I had to repeatedly scan the key for different lengths of time until the door would unlock making it very frustrating just trying to enter the room.

Excellent Place, Exceptional & Pocket Friendly. This place is amazingly well maintained clean bathrooms and room services very often sometimes daily. Very professional staff - the staff at the front are the most courteous people I have met. Safety- woow, I had state of the art cameras equipment and no one touched them, even during the room service. Renovations are going during the day, but the noise is kept to the minimal. The location is perfect for eateries. If you’re in Jackson City, Birmingham. Check out Red Roof Inn for a comfy night. By the way no roaches or bugs!! Yes, None of that. At least in room 239👀!

WILL.BE.STAYING.AT.THE.LA.QUINTA. NEXT.TIME.AND.NOT.RED.ROOF! I want to give REDROOF a TWO☆☆ because of the DISRESPECT i got from, I guess the Owner.. Which was A tan normal sized gentleman ... BUT besides that,, it was a Okay stay. Rooms ARE SPOTLESS AND CLEAN... !! BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE Service and Staff and Owners ,, you don't know what kind of ATTITUDE or DISRESPECT your going to get OR (Decent staff cleaning ladies usually,.) GENEROSITY and RESPECT. (Either or) Anyways.... Rooms are clean, Service is Normal But YES They are VERY NOSEY and in YOUR BUSINESS when it comes to going in and out Your room, which is NONE of there BUSINESS!! Ecspecially if it's only us 3 that are here who checked the room out and have NO RANDOM VISITORS.

The new ownership takes no responsibility for the condition of the property the ice machine was broken a month ago and when I went back this weekend it was still broken. The fact that I wasn't posted made me believe I could buy food to save money. It all had yo be thrown out because they refuse f to upgrade me to s deluxe room that was 25 dollars more per night for just a fridge. I refused to pay on principle they barely speak English and pass the blame anywhere rather than fix the issue or treat you as a guest at their hotel. Needless to say I was disappointed to see the changes since the new owners took over. I had stayed there for a nice little weekend with my girl and it was very nice. I would not take her there now
