First time going, absolutely loved it! I had the squawking goat with pepper jelly, what an awesome combination. My husband had the five and dime and loved it. He also had the maple mocha iced latter and that had such a perfect balance of the two flavors, not overwhelming at all. The iced cinnamon biscuit was also amazing, huge too! The staff did an outstanding job putting our order together

It was so good! The biscuits were perfect and fluffy, the chicken was delightful and the bacon was cooked perfectly. You're going to drop some money here, this isn't Waffle House, this upscale southern breakfast/brunch at its finest. But it also won't break the bank. Your ordering makes this place extra unique as there's always a question of the month for you, and your answer is your order name. Be creative about it. Have fun. The Peach tea was perfect, not overly sweet but not unsweetened. The fried green tomatoes were cooked to perfection. The batter wasn't overly fried, and you could easily cut them with your fork without everything turning to mush. The only place that compares in quality and experience is Bloom in Bristol. Highly recommend, local or passing through.

Best breakfast experience I ever had. The customer service person came to our table, spoke to us, wanted to know how everything was, then brought us some delicious breakfast desert, kept coming by making sure we didn't need anything else. The food was out of this world, an explosion of goodness in our mouths.

When you order they ask you a question, your answer is the name on your order. They yell your answer out so you pick up your order. You pick up after yourself after you eat. The food was so delicious and fresh. The staff were super friendly. I had the Bow Yo-Yo, Asiago and bacon waffle with fried chicken with fresh made to order orange juice and the special coffee, caramel toffee crunch latte. Definitely recommend this place

Nice, unique place for breakfast or brunch. It was quite busy when we went around noon on a Sunday. Food is freshly made to order. It does take a little time to get it, but worth the wait. They will not ask your name when you place an order. Instead, they ask you a question. The answer you give will be used to call your "name" when the food is done. Some people are creative with their answer, which can be entertaining to everyone else waiting. We ordered The Sticky Maple, Risky Biscuit with sausage gravy, Potatoes O'Ryan, fresh squeezed orange juice and two coffees. The coffee is unlimited, hot or iced. There is no charge for cups of water. The Risky Biscuit had lots of pepper on the egg. We love that, but take note if you do not when you place your order. The fresh orange juice tasted exactly like eating an orange. They also have mimosas for $10 with fresh orange juice and Prosecco. Although we thought the food was good, we were not impressed with the coffee. We tried the Dark Bark and Maple Tap. Our total bill for everything was $42.

My husband and I stopped in to try out the Johnson City location on our way home from our anniversary weekend trip. We were greeted at the door by the owner of the establishment, he took the time to review the menu and make suggestions when we advised it was our first time visiting. The staff was friendly and food was amazing. The owner checked in on us a few times and we observed him navigating throughout the establishment, checking in with everyone. This is a truly all around 5-star place to be. Not just the wonderful food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere but the true servant heart behind the owner really solidified us as patrons who will return! Definitely recommend visiting for all ages (we plan to return and bring our kiddos next time).

Great meal and food service. Both breakfast options tasted great. The manager came around and checked on everyone. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and very tasty.

These guys are a class act. Homemade food served lovingly and a manager host who roams through greeting and talking with customers. It was one of the nicest meals I’ve had in weeks. Also one of the few full-service restaurants serving espresso drinks and alcoholic beverages. The biscuits are of course amazing. But the 2nd visit I had the grits bowl and it was killer- great taste and lower calories too. You have to try their cinnamon biscuits- only available Friday through Sunday. Definitely coming back!

Got the Veggie Risky Biscuit with a side order of scrambled eggs and would recommend. The flavor of the gravy with it's caramelized onions, shiitake mushrooms and bit of kick along with the fluffiness of buttery biscuits all come together quite nicely. Would get again 👍👍

Super good food! It was a bit of a wait, but it was graduation weekend at ETSU so it was totally expected! They offered us free coffee while we waited and the place has a great atmosphere!

The food was really good, we would definitely come back if in the area. The only flaw was we waited 45 min in line to order then another 10-15 to get our food. We weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a deal charger today. It was plenty of open seats just a slow process at taking orders.

We had a great breakfast experience at Maple Street. First time going so was a little overwhelmed by the menu but the gentleman who was taking our order was patient and very helpful. My husband had the biscuits & gravy, which was really good! The gravy had a lot of flavor and seasoning to it. I had the bacon egg & cheese biscuit and it was great! The biscuit is fluffy and buttery. We also shared an order of the smashbrowns and they were yummy! Crispy on the outside & creamy with a good green onion flavor on the inside. The gentleman who took our order even brought us a complementary cinnamon chocolate chip iced biscuit since it was our first time there. He was so kind and that biscuit was so dang good! The restaurant is clean & was decorated really cute and homey with lots of seating. Would definitely go back!

Fabulous menu options, great decor, delish coffee. The biscuits were disappointingly heavy and over cooked, and whoever thought to call the potatoes “crispy” needs to pick a different adjective. Maybe… standard? Highlight was the chicken and waffles, with truly crispy chicken and light, fluffy waffles. If this had been a little less expensive, then I probably would have been less irritated.

This DID NOT disappoint! The handmade Biscuits are made perfectly soft and Fluffy, and the O'Ryan Potatoes are fantastic! I had the Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Latte and it was one of the best handcrafted lattes that I've had. It was a great experience and I recommend giving this a try if you're in the mood for some southern comfort food and delicious handcrafted coffees!

Great food, nice cafe. We all loved our food. Good portions too!

For first time visitors you order in the front and they call your name when ready. This place was super clean. My chicken had the most fluffy yet crunchy batter I think I've ever had. The gravey was on point and the biscuits were absolute perfection. I can't wait to visit next time I'm in town.

Love this place!! We had biscuits and gravy, chicken biscuits, waffles & chicken and eggs. All were so delicious! It was a bit hectic trying to get a table and somewhat noisy. Over all, a wonderful place to eat. Great food.

  • 5/5 Crystal S. 11 months ago on Google
The biscuits are nice and tender you can tell that they are made fresh from scratch on a daily basis. Coffee is very good they carry Coke products which is good for me cause I like that but for you Pepsi lovers I’m so sorry. The potato’s were cooked perfectly. The only thing that I would recommend is the sausage gravy is slightly too spicy. That could change in a day to day basis considering it’s made from scratch. But today it’s just a little too spicy. But overall everything is fantastic. Great customer service.

Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend, delicious biscuits, amazing dredge on the chicken and fgt! Food definitely has a kick. Amazing friendly staff, quick service, clean environment! Best fresh squeezed Orange juice ever!

We like trying new stuff so we stopped at Maple Street Biscuit. It's a unique place. The food was good, my potatoes were cold and the gentleman brought me back fresh potatoes and then he comped both our potatoes. That was really nice of him. I really didn't care for the coffee I got the maple coffee. So he brought me some Americano. He was really good with his customer service. I would recommend people to go there if they like unique food. One of the best things was the music they were playing a bluegrass kind of gospel theme. I did love that.

Large portions of food along with great flavor and presentation. This is what I think of when I want a great "chicken" (or anything) biscuit. Fast service and friendly staff. (Think of an imaginary character name to use BEFORE you get to the counter)

We came to Johnson City due to a medical emergency and this was by far the best place we ended up eating breakfast during our stay. The food was outstanding, the friendliness of the staff was even more impressive, and we’d definitely go back. The manager even checked in on us and even gave us some of their DELICIOUS iced cinnamon biscuits so we could share them with our dad who was in the hospital. Pictured is the Squawking Goat that was full of flavor and tender chicken!

I have come here multiple times and every single time I have always enjoyed it. The food is very well cooked and flavorful, and the serving sizes are just right! Every employee I've met has been very friendly and the kitchen is very efficient in getting their food out. One of my all time favorites (in this picture closest to the camera) is the "Three Layer Cake". Perfect breakfast/brunch place certain to leave one happy and full.

Friendly staff, beautiful decor and the BEST part...they have a question of the month & your answer is the name they call out when your order is ready!

  • 5/5 Yolanda R. 2 years ago on Google
When your food is so good but you spend more time talking about your favorite candle name because it is the question of the day asked by the employee. This was our first time here and we had the absolute best breakfast in a long time. The cozy atmosphere and quick service gave us more family time to talk about who's food tasted better! An absolute gem of a place that we will remember to look for whenever we are back in Tennessee!

Went here on a whim based on the suggestion of a stranger and it did not dissapoint. The food was delicious and fresh and their lattes were incredible. We sat at a community table in hopes that others would join. We will definitely be back.

I think it’s great there are a few places to get breakfast in Johnson City (besides your normal fast food joints). The restaurant was clean, the guys behind the counter were polite, and the food was good. Great experience.
