Food was great. They also have a very wonderful raccoon named Ricardo. Very nice. For future reference, he very much likes mozerella sticks, and chili cheese tots. 👌

Most of the food is not to good but, the burgers and pretzels are really good. The slushies are also good. It usually takes them a while to make the food for some reason. Probably shouldn't go here if you're in a hurry because I've been late to work before. :b

Where do i start. The place wasn't busy and we had two separate orders. Pressed the button twice to make the Seco d order it took them the time it took to bring out the first order before they even came over the speaker to make the second order which was just a regular #1 with a large Ocean Water.. Everything was disgusting I've never had a burger so greasy to the point when I got it it was literally like water coming out the bottom. The taste was horrible. Also everyone who knows what an ocean water is knows it's just sprite and coconut flavoring yet this tasted like Strawberry. It was over all very disgusting. And I am dissatisfied with the over all experience at this sonic drive in. 😕

1 star.. why? Well lemme just tell ya... went 3 times in about 10 days. They messed up each time. 1st 2 times it was putting everything on a burger that was meant.to be plain. We scraped it off and went about our day.. 3rd time, we got 4 milkshakes and a burger. 22 bucks. My wife wanted a banana & chocolate w/double of both ingredients. Which she's gotten only about 57x at the Kingsport location.. This time the JC location was out of dome lids so they "put less ice cream to make room for the whipped cream" bc they used regular flat lids (the carhop told me this herself).. I drive the literal 1 min back.. the milkshake wasn't a milkshake, it was chocolate syrup & bananas. It wasn't even cold there was no ice cream. My reeses shake wasn't blended nor my sons chocolate shake. But the worst part about this is the manager, Justin.. the way he spoke to my wife was disgusting!!! It was rude and unprofessional! He chuckled at her and said "I made it to the sonic standards". Over and over, that's all he would say. He never apologized and offered to make another one, til my wife mentioned that was the worst part, that for the duration of the 10 min call, he didn't.. until the end. We did not go get the shake, bc he would be the one making it and who knows what could have happened. Will not spend another dime at Sonic period. Bc of Justin the evening manager.

Sat there for 15 minutes waiting and no one even came across the intercom to take our order. Gave up and left.

Love this location! Easy to slip in and out. Never had any problems with order accuracy.

Went to this sonic, ordered online, the online app glitched out and did not put the correct quantity of burgers that I put on the order. The staff here went above and beyond and took care of the mess up on the app. By far some of the best customer service I’ve received at any fast food restaurants in the country. I will definitely be coming back here. Jordan was the employee who came out. He did an amazing job. Give that man a raise. Again thank you for everything you all do. Keep up the great service. If I could give 10 stars I would. 🤩

Checked Google before leaving home to confirm this particular location was open until 12:00, then proceed to drive across town only to be sent away by an extremely rude girl who told me they'd been closed since 11:00. I had gotten there about 15 after. I'm inclined to believe that this was a lie, as I could still see other cars parked in stalls at this time, waiting to be served. It seemed like they just didn't want to serve me, specifically.

Very poor service took them 10 mins just to bring me a drink and they hands everybody else order out and still sitting here

Food was good, carhop was friendly. My daughter ordered an m&m blast and got an oreo blast - I ordered a strawberry limeade with extra strawberries and got a purple drink with very little strawberry somehow lol. We both still enjoyed it but definitely not sure what the mix up was 😂

Manager has this place ran really well. Clean facility, fast service ,and friendly smiling car hops. Probably the best Sonic in East TN. Y’all should teach the ones in Chatt how to do better! Overall, great drinks and slushes! 💯💯

This place is usually amazing to stop and grab a bite to eat! But the other day I stopped and grabbed some popcorn chicken and tater tots, and the chicken was not cooked all the way, and the tots were cold. I was highly disappointed as I was looking forward to that meal!!!

It's a great Sonic location and the food's good the customer service is great you don't have to wait very long and the staff is very friendly. Would recommend.

Food and service were good.. The problem is the apps down and has been down. That's making every customer pay full price of items that would be 1/2 off. Come on people someone needs to get it together.

Our food is always fresh and just as we order! Sonic in Johnson City is always busy, but always worth the wait!

Always a great place to eat! One complaint, a plain grilled cheese should only have a slice of cheese melted. It tasted like the liquid cheese. Yuck.

Went on 6.12.22 around 11a was meeting friend for lunch. Sat on patio. There was an employee on her phone.(for a good 10 mins). clearly having issues. Cussing and being so loud, that could hardly hear each other. Take care of your at home business... at home.

Solid food for a fast food joint. Ice cream is the best thing here. Avoid driving a big truck as the stalls aren't very big lol.

We did get our order pretty fast. The shakes were foamy and didn't have any flavor, as well we ordered a Dr. Pepper with extra cherries and all they had done was fill half the glass with cherry syrup. We ordered , tasted and placed directly in the garbage...waste of money Not sure who made the drinks but they need a few more weeks of practice.. Probably will not go back!

i hate to give such a bad review as i love sonic and have been a customer of this location for as long as i remember. but the level of professionalism has gone through the floor. they will mark your online orders complete, leaving you sitting there confused and unable to access the order on your phone for 10-30 minutes. if it’s not ready, don’t mark it as ready. my order is not complete when you finish cooking it, it’s finished when you bring it to my car. i don’t care about your times, it’s unprofessional. update 11 months later: i visit here once a week and every. single. time. they mark my order as completed and put the message “_____ is headed to you with your order!” only to sit there for 20 more minutes waiting. NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR TIMES!!! DO NOT MARK MY ORDER AS COMPLETED WHEN I HAVENT RECEIVED A SINGLE THING!!!!!!

Sonic isn't great. I don't like their burgers at all. However they have awesome coney dogs and chili cheese tots. Oh, and nothing beats a huge ice cold Route 44 beverage on a hot day! I especially enjoy the Ocean Water. They may not do burgers well but they found something others aren't doing and are doing it well.

Love there milkshakes the food not so much the service is also always good.

We ordered from the app while on-site. The two special-order burgers were prepared accurately, as were the "customized" slushes. The food was the propper temperature and the service was prompt. They just need a less-steep driveway, lol!

Loved the patty melt! One of the best Sonics I've ate at.

Pulled into one stall went to order but button was pushed so moved to another stall and suddenly the previous one was available. They don't close until 11. Maybe the party in the back should move to the front. We can all work and play.. just saying. Been waiting 15 minutes on someone to take my order at current stall to avoid a screaming child... hopefully McDonald's ice cream machine is working.

I liked the service I just did not enjoy the breakfast burrito. I prefer salsa but to my liking I did not like there brand.

Like their Happy Hour drink specials! Wish they had a few healthier options, as I used to enjoy their salads. I nice place to go after a walk or hike for a refreshing drink. Also nice to visit for a specialty dessert.
