To start we had a nice sliced italian bread basket with a choice of soup or salad, we both had the salad. It was pretty boring, 2 grape tomatoes, 2 olives and small chunks of romaine. Very unappealing in my opinion. However, it got really good after that... We had the calamari which was one of the best we have ever had, absolutely delicious. I had the pasta muscuglio, it was a delight! A good amount of seafood and a really delicious sauce. My fiance had the veal Melinaize and loved it. The homemade pasta was excellent. Nice drinks as well and very good service. We will be back. I suggest giving it a try!

Wishing I can put 0 stars...this place is not all it. I mean, just my opinion. If you had a good experience then that’s great, and if you haven’t been there yet I mean I suggest you not to go but it’s up to you overall, go if you want. But from my personal experience the people that work there are rude and the food is a iffy tasting and made me have a stomach ache that night after I ate there. Definitely not going there again and I’ll stick with my home cooked foods.

I got take out last night, ordered Chicken Franchine absolutely horrible. It looked like and tasted like boiled chicken in water and lemon juice (very little lemon) no light batter like it's supposed to look like. The 1/2 cup of chicken soup they give you was carrots and celery no chicken and no pasta, and no flavor as well. Rge vegetables were not cooked. The whole meal was terrible. I called an spoke to the manager today and he never offered me a credit just I'll talk to the chef and watch how he makes it. Lol ! What a joke. Any other restaurant would do something if they really wanted your business but not this one. Not that I was looking for it but I'm sure he won't be speaking to the chef. It was $24.39 + tip a waste of money. The place has gone done hill so bad and I will never go back there. I've been going there for years it's really sad. There's always Luigi's down the street.

Food was awful, chicken soup had no stock or flavor, had the chicken sorrrento with homemade pasta, asked for the pink sauce , the food was not fresh, tasted pre made and the sauce was barely on the pasta, I have been going to the Johbston location for years, tried the Coventry location which was sub par. Told the manager and she was rude and could care less.

Great service, excellent food and reasonable prices. The parking lot was full when we left and I can see why. The $45 special is great. Each course was delicious and generous. Our doggy bags have enough for another full meal. Highly recommend.

Birthday celebration. Original reservation was for 5 guest. Unfortunately one couldn't make it because of a medical condition. I didn't find out until about 5pm that this person who has a autoimmune disease couldn't make it. My reservation was at 6. I really didn't think it was going to be a big deal. The Restaurant opens at 4. When we walked in the hostess after learning it was going to be a party of 4 and not 5. Said, not in a nice way. In front of other guest sitting on the bench waiting for a table. The next time we should call to let them know because, they had a larger table for us. They sat us in the back at a table for 4. Our waiter was very nice. He just skipped one beat. The birthday cake at the end. But, made up for it. We were there for 3 hrs. There was empty tables the whole time in the area we were sitting. Not to mention. There is another section of the restaurant. Not sure what the seating situation was like in that area So, I don't understand her attitude. I have been many times to Pats, Franky's, and Pats Bistro. The Food has always been very good. The service is alway great. But, the greeting this time definitely left a bad taste.

I had to rate this experience a 3 star because of how long our entrees took to be delivered. Our server greeted us with a friendly smile and promptly took a beverage order. Appetizers were then ordered. The stuffed mushrooms and calamari were delicious. Soups and salads followed afterwards. But, then we noticed three other tables being served their dinner. Our server came over to apologize for another table getting there food before us and said our food should be out soon. Well, 30 minutes later and still no entrees. Our reservation was for 6:30pm and we didn't get entrees until 8pm. By that time, our 8 year old was sleepy, my mother in law was upset and my husband was no longer hungry. We had them pack our dinners to go and the 4 entrees were taken off the bill.

Pat’s was my favorite restaurant until last night. They said I had no reservations which I had put on a whole day ahead. We were there for a special occasion. I asked for a booth and because we were only two they sat us in a booth near the cleaning products in that loud room Our waitress was fine our entrees came out before I had a bite of salad. We wanted to relax and enjoy our food. Didn’t happen! We were rushed to get out so they could get the next customer. Chew an you know. Will be a long time before we go back Was not the waitress fault. Have the feeling the cooks were told to serve close together to keep people moving in and out to make more money I truly feel sorry!

We've been to Pat's many times and it has always been consistent. There were eight of us this night. We had the Arancini for an appetizer. It had absolutely had no flavor, no spices or herbs. I had veal parmesan for my entree, which was good. My husband had Fra Diavolo. His dish was not even a full plate. It was served in a half size oval dish. For the price, it was definitely not worth it. On top of that, it had no heat at all. Fra Diavolo should be spicey. There were no red pepper flakes in the dish, nor were there any on the table to add to your plate. The seafood in his dish was minimal. While I was eating salad, the bus boy asked me if I was done because he seemed to be in a rush to take my plate. I still had a half a bowl of salad in front of me at that point. The waitress started off being courteous, but during the meal, she never once came over to ask if we needed anything else, or to ask if everything was OK. The only reason she returned to the table, is because we flagged her down for more drinks. The bread was ehh; it wasn't super fresh. It feels like Pat's gave up; we won't be back. If I want fresh Italian food, I'll have it at home. My husband's cooking blows Pat's out of the water!

Came here last night and the food and service never fails. Nicole was our server and she was so accommodating. We had our daughter with us and she was able to make sure her food came out as quickly as possible. We love their homemade pasta and chicken parm! Would recommend to anyone who wants some good quality Italian food!!!

This place is awesome. It was Easter, and busy. Service was top notch , from bus people, to Regina, our server. Regina was right on top of everything. Drink refill without even asking. So professional, and courteous. We would return in a heartbeat! Loved it!

One of my new favorite Italian spots. The sauce is amazing. A little sweetness to it but I love it. The service here is great everyone I’d friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and very well kept. Modern atmosphere.

My SO loves this place, but to me it's just ok. It's way more than I want to pay for pasta, but at least the portions are generous and the quality and service are good. The menu feels a bit limited, the Caesar salad dressing is kind of flavorless, and the pasta sauce is sweeter than I prefer.

Surprisingly very tasty food . My first time ordering from them as i just moved in this town recently is there better Italian food mayby so but I will bet it is a lot more expensive and portions will not be any where the same although portions are not what I'm about .

I ordered takeout but was forced to go through an app (Swipeby). I was charged a "Curbside Fund" of $4.50, which the restaurant could not explain. I authorized a "tip" of 15% ($10.01) but was charged $16.38 for a tip. The restaurant blamed this on the app. The portions were smaller than previously had been, and the quality of the same was average, at best. I paid $93.00+ for takeout of 3 appetizers, a side Caesar Salad, and a quart of soup.

Host, who we later found out was the owner, refused to allow us to have a booth at 4:30 when everyone except 1 was unoccupied, telling us they were saved for people with reservations only! Also, my husband was not allowed to substitute his dinner with fries instead of pasta, we were told by the waitress that the menu rules were very strict and she was not allowed to make exceptions. Overall, the food was very average and the dining experience was uncomfortable due to the above mentioned.

Food is very good. Portions are generous, but it is the only Italian restaurant that I’ve ever been to that does not serve bread with pasta.

We have visited Pats before the pandemic and it was time to try again. First the bread was stale! We asked for more bread. More day old bread! The calamari was ok. However we asked for the fresh pasta and it was thick and doughy. Not light and fresh. The chicken parents was thin and dry. Plenty of food was given but if it is not of superior quality why bother. Also I opted for soup. Ugh. The chicken soup was flat and tasteless. The salads were skimpy. The waitress did not refill our soft drinks and only tended to our spouses alcoholic drinks. Bye Pats.

Everyone in our party thought the food was amazing! Stuffed mushrooms were different AND delicious. I know it's weird to not get pasta at an Italian restaurant but the salmon had to be some of the best I've ever eaten. A little bit of a crispness on the edges, juicy, perfecto seasoning. YUM! I hope I travel to town for work again so I can have dinner here too.

Pat's used to be great, so we chose it again tonight for our anniversary dinner. Turned out to be a bad call. Service was very, very slow. Long wait just to get water after we were seated. Our server didn't seem very happy to be there. Appetizers came relatively promptly. The fig and prosciutto flatbread was absolutely fabulous, as were the stuffies. Salads were...uninspiring. Couple of olives, couple of underripe grape tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, plastic cup of dressing. We then waited almost a full hour before our entrees arrived. No one checked on us or refilled our drinks in the interim. The AC was dripping water onto the floor right next to us. Other diners arrived after we did, ate and left while we waited. Finally, the entrees arrived after the place was locked up for the night. The busboy was packing up tables. The hostess was washing the windows. No apology from the waitress for the delay. Veal parmesan was tender and delicious, just like we remembered it. Then came the chicken saltimbocca, which was absolutely terrible. The chicken had a weird, stringy texture and odd flavor, like it had been boiled. The prosciutto, mozzarella and mushrooms on top collectively had no flavor at all. The "mushroom marsala wine sauce" seemed to have no acquaintance with either mushrooms or marsala; it was weak and only vaguely chicken-y. Overall, the dish was woefully underseasoned, pale, bland and unappealing. We explained to the server. She took it back to the kitchen and it was taken off the bill. By that time, our anniversary dinner was a bust and we were the last party left in the place. We boxed up the veal and left without coffee or dessert.

My children took me here for Mother's Day(my first time there) - it was FABULOUS!! We had 5 different dinners(including Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, and Fettuccine Alfredo), and everything was prepared well and delicious! Our server Linda was great!

The best dinners ever over several years...dine in fabulous... take out great. Yesterday, not so much. Under sauced, veal, mealy , Over pounded. Also, delivered veal parmesan to someone that I bragged about for year. Disappointed. Buy your sauce when we're there and now get at market basket. Will not give up... maybe an off night. .

We ordered takeout, so service and atmosphere don’t apply to my review. Food was edible but nothing like they describe on their menu. Large portions but food was incredibly bland all around, from flavorless house salad dressing to the chicken parm and chicken sorrento. Sauce described as “savory” on their menu - but it had no flavor at all. I’ve never had bland Italian food before. Ah well… we’ll try other local spots.

Insulting experience. Arrived for our reservations. Seated. Asked about their persistently advertised 2 for specials. We were told not available this week since it was anniversary week. Regular customers received coupons instead. Sign outside AND their Facebook site still proclaimed this special existed. We walked out. Not due to being cheap... just really insulting approach to their anniversary week. We were made to look like we did not matter to them as customers. Ate here before.. food is yummy, but something was waaay off here

First time dining there, offering great service and food quality, along with a nice selection of entrees. Had a seafood dish with seared sea scallops and jumbo shrimp mixed with sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, and spinach in a light sauce, not really a tomato sauce. It was absolutely delicious with a very enjoyable seafood flavor not dominated by the sauce, highly recommend it and will order it again. The salad was nice and fresh and crisp. It did not appear like it was prepared days before. Also had the Italian Stallion cocktail, very different. If you weren't a stallion before you drank the cocktail, you certainly will be one afterwards, hello.

Pat orlando's? Of the la rosa fame? Not as good as I remember. Now I'm comparing something to what I once considered perfection. La rosa was just that kinda place. Pat's is not that but then again a good memory is hard to beat. Having said this i will add that this is a very nice place to eat. The wait staff were trained well and it showed. The atmosphere was not my particular taste but they did what they did well. The food (I was expecting more so this will sound harsh) 7/10. It would have probably been an 8 if I didn't expect a 10. But you should definitely go if you haven't been because, considering the price, it was a 9. So there you go...dont let your expectations drive your experiences.

If you're looking for some really good Italian food, Pat's Italian is definitely the place to go. My significant other and I first discovered Pat's a few years back when we were looking for a good place to have dinner on our anniversary. The food was incredible, the staff personable, the service excellent, and the atmosphere charming. It wasn't long after, we took my parents there to enjoy dinner and my father hasn't stopped raving about his meal since. I recently enjoyed their take-out for the first time and once again, wasn't disappointed! I've found it's a rare occasion take-out meals are as good as when eaten in a restaurants dining room, but this meal absolutely was and the ordering/pick-up experience was inline with the standard of service I've received when eating in. With a number of great Italian option in Johnston, Pat's is most certainly a top choice!

Delicious Italian food. Homemade pasta. The only thing is the 2 for $40 special is a little deceiving. If you're going to do a special, don't add dishes that you have to pay extra for. Keep it as dishes that you can do for 2 for $40

My mom (Roberta Roberta Kaufman GreenbergGreenberg) and I had a wonderful dining experience at Pat's Italian Restaurant, in Coventry, last evening. The food (in abundance) was delicious; service ( via Ed) was exceptional, and the owners, Chris and Greg Stevens are wonderful people. If you have not yet visited this restaurant, I encourage you to do so. :-)
