We enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the shower had hot water and good water pressure, and the staff were super friendly. The only issues we had were that most of the outlets didn't work in the room and the ones that did were controlled by a master light switch, which we didn't know until waking up in the morning to realize none of our batteries charged after we turned off the lights for bed. The pancake machine was also not working for breakfast and the elevator stopped working while we were checking out. Aside from those minor technical issues, it was a great stay.

The room was dirty when I checked in. I'm not even sure it was cleaned after the last guest since someone else's hair was on the toilet when I got there. I had to ask every time I needed anything because my room was not cleaned or restocked w/out having to ask for it. The curtains were so filthy & stained. I was excited when I saw a set of new 1s draped on the back of a chair, but that's where they stayed. They never put them up. Just left them there for me to look @ I guess. I also asked many times for them to check it as it always smelled like burning dust. I couldn't breathe in the room. I kept having allergy & asthma attacks in the room. I was fine whenever I left the motel tho so it was definately something in the room. I asked 6 days in the a row to please gix the phone since it didn't work @ all. Not even just to call the front desk. I have up after hearing the same tired excuses over & over & never had a working phone during my 10 day stay. The 8nternet didn't work either. The pool area & pool itself are not maintained & are filthy. There was a package of candy, grass, some other unidentifiable things in the pool & the whirlpool was even worse. Even the floor was discusting. The only good thing I can say is that the staff was cordial, albeit less than helpful most of the time & the breakfast was pretty decent. I would not recommend this MainStay Motel.

I liked the hotel. I had a very spacious room. There was a couch, a refrigerator, and even a microwave oven. And I liked the location as well--across from a mall with a Target, CVS, Walgreen's, and Steak 'N Shake nearby. Real nice area to rest and buy necessities and/or gifts. The things that I wish were better, though, were the outlets on the table lamps. They were very loose and I couldn't get my phone to charge properly with them. Also, the temperature outside was high on the night I stayed and it seemed like the air conditioner couldn't keep me cool enough, even though my bed was right next to it. If it wasn't for those two things, I would give it 5 stars. Everything else was nice, including the people.

This is our new place to stay when we are traveling!!!! For the last several years we have been staying at the same place when we stop in Illinois while traveling to see family. That place has continued to get worse and worse to the point that it could not be ignored. We looked for something different and found it. The rooms are so clean and comfortable and relaxing. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. This definitely where we will be staying on our future trips. Anyone looking for a great place to stay should definitely check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Nice clean friendly staff. Breakfast is served with the best pancakes. They have a jacuzzi and a pool.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. not only is it terribly dirty, but I am pretty sure this is a homeless hangout as well. I heard dogs barking all day long, kids screaming in the halls at 5am. The same busted suv sitting in the same handicap spot every day with people sleeping in it. Also the crackheads standing out front smoking the whole time, real nice. Staff has attitude problems. The breakfast is garbage. The hot tub and pool out of service too. I will make it my mission to give every comfort inn i come across 1 star after this experience.

Shocked that this is not a 10+ rating. We stayed for 6 days and highly recommend this location. Staff, rooms, location far exceeded our expectations. We will be return next time we are passing thru. Great breakfast

Room was fine. However, a few rooms on our floor has some noisy pot-smokers. They already set off fire alarm once and yelled at each other in the hallway for setting it off. If it happens again, my family is demanding a refund and finding a new hotel. I feel bad for the staff. It just takes a few idiots who can’t control themselves to ruin the night for others.

Very happy with this hotel, it’s staff and the location. Room and hotel itself was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful ( manager Victor helped me with my changing reservation due to work schedule). My only regret is that I didn’t have time to use the indoor pool and hot tub.

Right on the highway, easy on and off. Quick trip to Bolingbrook. Some dust from remodeling but wasn't intolerable. Free breakfast and coffee! Great start to the day!

I am posting this in mid-October of 2022. We are staying here one night, but check in took 30-40 minutes because the new front desk clerk did not have a login for the computer. While walking to the room, we noticed much of the drywall was missing in the hallway ceilings, so it probably had water damage. Then the key to the room didn’t work, so we had to go back to the front desk. The bathroom in our second floor room has multiple drywall gouges that need to be patched and painted, plus the ceiling drywall is peeling where it looks like there was more water damage. Last but not least, there are someone’s fake eyelashes on the top ledge of the shower that the cleaners must have missed. It makes us wonder what else the cleaners did not clean… Giving two stars in hopes that breakfast is normal, but may update to one star if breakfast has major problems. P.S. The fitness room is closed, the hot tub is taped off, and the pool heater is not working so you have to be fine with cold water P.S.S. The front desk issues and the fake eyelashes in the bathroom are not caused by renovations.

This was like a trap house hotel. When we first checked in the man at the desk had an attitude. I asked him if he needed the card that I used to book with and he responded with “I don’t know what card you used to book it” obviously, I’m asking if you need the one I used for incidentals. He said “Oh.” No apology so red flag one. Second flag was when we were walking in the room and it smelled like fresh paint and mildew. After looking at the bathroom, we seen it had water damage right above the sink and the mildew smell was pungent in there but they just painted over the water damage. Another thing, the water from the sink didn’t get hot, and from smelling the water this hotel uses well water.. used to it but wasn’t expecting it. Now I flip pillows and check corners and creases of mattresses and furniture because I’ve had a history of going to hotels and them having bugs so I just had to make sure, all though there weren’t any bugs, there was dry blood stains on the mattress itself and the sheets had yellowish stains all over them. We went out and purchased a sheet and we luckily brought a cover from home to handle that issue. My fiancé moved the little bench next to the closet and there was a hole in the wall and a pipe underneath it which was an open pipe.. flags three and four. The breakfast situation wasn’t explained, there was only bagels and cereal. My fiancé was upset because he loves his eggs lol. Not a great place to stay, it was very trappy. Definitely wasn’t worth the money we paid, honestly.

The sprinklers in our room were non functional as well as the stove. The fake tile was peeling up and multiple gouges in the drywall. It felt like staying in a frat dorm. The bed was comfy but at 8am sharp hammering and drilling began. If you want peaceful sleep DO NOT STAY HERE. Specifically got a hotel to escape the noise of family in the morning but this was worse. Not to mention several fire alarms chirping through the night.

I read several really negative reviews about this place, but I am glad I found out for myself what it was really like. I'm assuming that those negative reviews were the result of the renovation that was taking place at the time. My experience here was a good one. The staff was friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. Very quiet and no sign of crackheads or homeless people. Although the lighting around the kitchen area could be better, all in all it's a great place to stay. The bed was awesome!!!

The rooms are very clean, and the area is fairly quiet. I received a military discount, and the rate was very reasonable. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is located near lots of shopping and dining options. My room had a kitchenette, with a small glass stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, a fridge (its about as tall as me, and I'm around 5', so there's plenty of room for food & drinks), some dinnerware, and cookware! Want a crockpot to use during your stay? They have those! The pool is small, but it's indoors and clean; there's a jacuzzi too. If I'm in this area again, I will definitely come back for a stay.

The room and service were great. The free breakfast could have used some improvements. They had bagels and bread but no cream cheese, peanut butter or jams and jellies.

The first night the bed broke and the dogs next to my family barked frequently throughout the night. The next day when my husband Inquired about maintenance fixing the bed, he was told they wouldn’t be able to fix it until Monday. When my husband asked why housekeeping hadn’t cleaned their room he was told they no longer do that due to Covid. He asked for someone to come and take the trash and to provide fresh towels and was told housekeeping had left for the day. It was 3 o’clock. The final straw is when my family woke up with a bedbug in the bed. Immediately we called the front desk, and Lisa, who was a real peach dismissed me. The solution was for us to just leave the hotel and not deal with the actual problem at hand. My family gladly left that hotel, however the bed or room was not properly sanitized, steamed, nothing was done. When I called back later that night to speak to a manager, Bobby who is the general manager of that location, alluded to the fact that we could be making it up, because I guess a lot of their patrons do that. I had to send in a picture of the bedbug to prove it, because Lisa made no comments within our account. Shocker! So to the following family’s who stay in room 318, check the bed and sleep tight. Those bedbugs will bite.

Paid too much for a motel-like stay. I did make the decision to stay after traveling for 24 hours even though I was reluctant. The room was clean, but the rest of the hotel was very dirty, outdated and shady. I would have been happy if the price reflected the quality; this is a motel with hotel pricing.

I really like this hotel. But lately it's become a pet zoo. I got 3 flea bites my last visit. I work nights, sleep days and last few visits I had to hear small dogs barking at every hallway sound. I even heard a pet bird chirping sometimes. Other than that it's a good hotel, but, I can't say I'll be back anytime soon.

Overall not a bad place. At the time of this review they were doing major renovations and it seemed a bit messy. Room rates appeared to reflect a price change compensate for the loss of available rooms. On elevator and one ice machine. Elevator is extremely slow and during very busy hours it’s better to take the stairs if possible. No way to get to the back lot without going through the pool area. Breakfast is a bit mediocre but I expect that to change once renovations are done

Good place for the price. Bathroom looked updated but could use a different light. Too dark to put contacts in and makeup on. 2 homeless people outside the front door and spent time inside talking to the desk staff and getting coffee.
