Are you an edgy teen? Are you trying to show everyone how different you are from the herd of "sheeple"? Look no further! @spencers they have all those symbolic shirts with bands your parents listened to all of those years ago. Not enough? They have gag gifts too and a section in the back for anybody skirting why they are really in there.

I haven’t been to spencers since I was much younger. First time going in years yesterday and the experience was great. They have great shirts, coffee mugs, shot glasses, games for parties, and to have fun with your partner… all around a great store I even asked to be on the email list yesterday and now have a 20% off. This will be my go to store to find fun stuff

Me and my bestfriend walked in and everyone was staring. We ignored it and continued looking for earrings, soon after we were holding the earrings and were walking around to get other things and a worker walked up. He told us I needed to empty my purse and that he had reason to believe that I had stolen! I had made it clear I had not stolen and empty my purse. As expected he found nothing and didn't apologize for his accusations. I'm 37 year old and out of all my years coming here, this has never happend.

These stores as a chain are typically poorly lit and contain what some would describe as "low brow" gags, gifts, and adult apparel/accessories. I had a negative experience in this store specifically as my wife was looking for body jewelry. The atmosphere of the store is enough to make me uncomfortable, so when she had trouble reading the packet details, I pulled out my phone to illuminate her view. Rather than effectively engaging us as customers, one of the two employees on staff noted that if we stood on the other side of the display case, we could possibly see better. Admittedly a "duh" moment for us, I acknowledged her recommendation and casually laughed it off. The disappointing aspect of this interaction for me as a customer is that the employee then proceeded to mock us to her coworker well within earshot. I say disappointing because it became obvious there is no care for customer service. Anyone who works retail can admit the occasional joke is made on a customer's behalf, but never while the customer is still in store. This chain was much more popular in the 90's and early 2000's, and service like this is certainly partially to blame.

Nothing out of the ordinary, it's a normal Spencers just like any other. Last time I went the employees seemed kind and easy to approach, one of them was even wearing an oversized wig with sunglasses and a fake beard, funny dude kinda looked like Jerry Garcia.
