Such a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature!! Fishing, walking and any outdoor forest adventure the mind can think of right of the beaten path of busy Shorewood/Joliet.........The deer are gorgeous to view and my family will be going at least once a week to enjoy the pristine landscape and we thank the park district and local government for doing such a great job keeping the property safe and clean!!! Just take a turn down the street, park and enjoy simple life for a moment or two!!

Perfect for a good walk. Some of the trail closest to the water is paved, otherwise wear shoes you wouldn't mind getting muddy, especially if it just rained but it was cute. Lots of people were out walking around. I enjoyed it. Good spot. I'll be back. Great for a short walk or something up to 9 miles.

This is a nice place. I've been to better and prettier, but for a park in the middle of everything and where people live, this is bigger and top knotch in a way I didn't expect. I loved a lot of the area, just wish it wasn't so easy to see the homes around it.

Nice walking path, enough people going through to not be sketchy. Peaceful walk!

Nice trails through a restored prairie, a small woodland, and expansive wetland. Out house and picnic pavilion. Busy still plenty of room.

Plenty of parking, the path is always well maintained and garbage free. Everyone who comes here is respectful of others on the path. You can see deer here during the day. Sun rise to sunset is the hours

Forgot about my phone for awhile so I enjoyed the beauty instead of capturing it all. This place offers so much serenity. I saw families skipping rocks. A man was meditating to the beautiful sounds of crickets & bullfrogs that inhabited a water laden area of trees. I saw multiple trees that had fallen, but decided to keep growing anyway. I watched the stream bubble around th rocks as I over looked from the bridge. & stared up at the spring barren trees and listened to birds chirp their sigh of relief. All on the shortest path, I'm excited to come back and envelope myself in even more beauty.

The trails are easy to run or bike on and the people using them are friendly. Sometimes you can see deer and other wildlife. If you need a quick break, you can stop by the pond

Very pretty any time of year, seeing the sunset over the pond/lake is a feast for the eyes every time.

Such a local treasure! Small lake for fishing or skipping stones. Paved trails that allow you to share the path with cyclists, dog walkers and runners. Lots of deer located on the property.

I enjoy going for walks in this preserve. It's clean well maintained with beautiful ponds and walkways, peaceful, quiet, different length of trails. In general a very reconforting area

My Wife and I live close by and we love visiting Rock Run Preserve. Beautiful, friendly people, and the trails are interconnected with other area parks and regional trails. Great for hiking and bicycle rides.
