This is my wife's favorite barbecue. Food is always fresh. The sweet tea is worth the drive itself.

Loved it! We're from Nashville and stopped in staging after a long day of hiking. Thanks for the great food and hospitality! I got a fish sandwich with cheese/tartar, so good! And my BF, a hog sandwich (something like that) iiiiit was also excellent. Also fries and onion rings on point!

An old timer recommended this place as we were passing through to see the site of one of the Lincoln Douglas debates and we are so glad they told us about it. Dixie barbecue has a brisket sandwich that is just melt in your mouth amazing!!

Been going to this place my entire life. Always excellent taste, great service and always, consistently clean. I’ve never ventured far from the bbq sammich. Too good to pass.

Always a great place to eat. Friendly people, great food and great prices! And the cherry cokes are fantastic!

Maybe it was just an off day. Our BBQ was very dry, had no taste. The sauce had no real flavor, other than sweet. Onion rings were very good and so were the French fries. Staff is very nice. It was very busy and people seemed to be enjoying their lunches. Something we noticed that could use some attention was that servers handle money, which is typical. Bringing food to tables with your thumb on top of the sandwich is not typical. If there's a way to serve without touching the food, it's a better choice.

The food is consistently good. BBQ is thin sliced instead of shredded. BBQ sauce is thick and on sweet side, as opposed to a thin, vinegar base. The restaurant itself is quite small and outdated but it is always clean. Very popular place, at peak hours you may not get a seat or be able to park due to small size. For a sandwich, fries and drink you'll usually spend 10+ dollars depending on your selection.

BBQ pork was very dry, bland, and the sauce was odd. Mayochup? Idk it had a weird consistency, pale pinkish color to it, one of the worse bbq sandwiches I’ve ever had. Maybe it was an off day but they also heated the beans up in the microwave so idk…

Food takes a little time to be cooked, but the food and service are great. I recommend the hog burger
