It's changed so much since the 70s. If I lived near there I'd be there daily. The trails are wonderful and thank somebody for the exercise equipment the put around there. Great idea. Looks like a great place to take the kids.

Craighead Forest Park has always been a place for families to take their children. It’s where I had my first date with my husband of 22 years and where I took our first child when she was a toddler. It had been a while since I had visited until the other day. I love the improvements they have made. I love the new walk/run/bike track. I love the outdoor workout stations. These are such great ideas. Does your child want to play in a castle? Does your child want to play in a fort? How about a jungle gym and swings? How about a splash park? Or does mom and dad need adult conversation and relaxation at a picnic spot of their choosing? This park offers all that and so much more…

Camped at one of the primitive sites. Location is very pretty and is kept clean but just about every spot puts you display as an exhibit so to speak for the frequent walkers of the trails/walking path. Park opens at 6am and closes at 10pm and people use the trail that circles the lake from 6am-10pm....even later. People were still in the park at 12:30am. There is really no quiet time and we stayed during the week...I could only imagine the amount of folks here on the weekend!

Nice, large park on the south side of Jonesboro that has a lot to offer. There is a lake where boating and fishing are allowed. There are walking/running/biking/ATV/horse trails. There are playgrounds and a splash pad. There are several pavilions available to rent. There are RV and campgrounds. There is machinery for working out and a basketball court. There is probably a lot I am missing but point being, it is a nice, recreational option for residents and visitors to Jonesboro.

Nice park and very surprised — tucked away, great lake view — nice walking trails and bike trails.

Beautiful park. A friend and I played disc golf here. Has two separate decent 18 hole courses. They were well kept and fun though they could have been better marked. They also have a nice lake that we got to sit and watch ducks and geese swim around 😜

Great place to run. All of the facilities were open, the campground looked fairly full. I enjoyed the view of the lake. And the walking bridge built by my father-in-law way back in 2005! I thought it was pretty NEAT!

I’ve been running here regularly for over a decade. No matter if you’re walking, jogging, running or cycling; there are plenty of options.

This is my favorite park for a good walk. I live almost two hours away, but it’s always worth the drive!

Large variety of endless activities to keep yourself or family busy with fun. All inclusive and beautiful lake. Attended multiple days and was surprised by a clean AC restroom! Above average to my liking. They're currently building a new bike or walk path along Access 5 across the skate park. Continously upgrades that are enjoyable.

Very pretty lake, nice walking trails all around the lake as well as around the entire park. Great areas to stop and sit or exercise with outdoor exercise equipment. Nice area for picnics, great for families with playground areas for children.

Wished we lived closer. Made a pit stop during a road trip, wish we could have spent more time. Great playground area for kids and a splash pad. Many different trail options to take around the lake.

We were passing through Jonesboro and needed a place to spend the night in our motorhome on our way home from Yellowstone. The park is huge and the people on the phone were so incredibly nice and helpful. When we arrived, the campsite was also huge and one one the most spacious, nice places we stayed. We were so excited to stay at a place with trees and such a nice environment. We even had some firewood waiting for us; however, we did not use it. Kudos to the city of Jonesboro! This park is so nice and offers a great place to walk or bike or camp.

I go to fish. I enjoy it. If you go bring boots it's grown up around edges and the heat this year has water levels down you got to get a little dirty but it's great I catch all kinds of fish big and small

One of the most beautiful parks I've stayed in. It's quiet, very serene and I was right next to the lake. Such an amazing place and great price.

Pros: Really like this place. Bathrooms and showers immaculate, 2 good handicap rig parking Beautiful Very nice quality walking and hiking trails. At least 1 is wheelchair usable. The one that wraps around the lake has exercise stations every so often , either new or very well maintained Nice fire pit style grill, nice picnic table and our spot has plenty of room to park Cons: On our pad the edges is about 8" drop off making it difficult for physically challenged individuals. Always concerned will tumble down it or catch our foot trying to step up. Trees are very thick and branches are thick above the camper, they are oak trees and are making a huge mess out of my camper and truck which I had just had professionally washed and waxed which was expensive, I worry about a branch falling and damaging the camper, this is only may and the no see ums, mosquitoes and other bugs make it miserable for enjoying the outdoors. The dump station is the only place to dump black water which would be ok except people are not dumping properly and the only way to dump my black water is to Wade through 1/8th to 1/4" of nasty blackwater grossness that people have carelessly just opened up their valve and let it fly is what it looks like, 🤮 so far it has been there the whole time we've been here.

11.00 a nite. Water, shower, free firewood, picnic table, trash can at every site. Hiking and walking trails. Playgrounds. Stopped here thinking I would just rest for an hour, then go find a Loves to sleep at. In

BEST CAMPING EVER. we're in our 87 VW Westfalia campervan and it was hilariously small compared to neighbors. These pads are BIG and even the tent spots are awesome, and they have lakeside spots! There weren't many people out, and maybe that's bc its April, but it was divine. 2 dogs and they both loved the huge green area behind our spot to play around. Our camp host was Norman, and I tell you what, he was the sweetest. 💕 Anyway, 100/10 recommend this place for camping or playing. There's fishing, a dog park (small attached to water) and like 4 playgrounds.

The tent camping areas were perfect. Everything was clean and well kept. The camp host,Norman was very nice and very good representation of what you get at this campground. I came camping with my dog on my motorcycle and I was able to have a nice evening with unlimited free firewood included in the $10 site! What a steal!

It is a pretty place. It looks as if it has excellent walking paths. I saw quite a few people walking their dogs. There seems like there is exercise equipment. And there is a pier that allowed dogs to leap into the lake.

Lakefront camping sites, free firewood, and only $15 per night! What a great city park. 3.2 mile trail around the lake, wildlife, views, peace and quiet. I obly with they would take reservations and online bookings!
