Not the most obvious of locations and not the most prepossessing of buildings but, inside, the restaurant has a pleasant, modern, light and functional feeling. One of the first things you see are the open fires where the rice or paella is cooked. The kitchen is also open to view off to one side of the eating space. We were even given a little tour of the premises, storerooms included. The service was pleasant but not at all overpowering. The menu is a set meal for 43€ with three starters, plus the house starter, a main of rice and then a pudding and coffee. There was a vegetable option on the rice but otherwise none of what we ate would have been suitable for vegetarians, None of the food was "exciting" in the way that some restaurants are determined to serve you kale, the mould that grows on maize or to freeze things with liquid nitrogen. In fact you could almost certainly buy all of the ingredients for all the dishes we ate from a decent local Spanish supermarket. The key thing though was that everything looked good and tasted better. The rice we chose was the traditional recipe for around here, rice with rabbit and snails. It's amazing how varied such a simple dish can be and this was one of the very best that I've tried with a lovely colour, just the right amount of salt and a nice taste from the broth. I'm not drinking alcohol at the moment but one thing that my partner particularly took to was the six local wines on tap. I know that it's sacrilegious to describe it this way but imagine the Burger King or KFC as many refills as you like soft drinks area but with good quality local wine from one of the bodegas that joint own the restaurant instead of fizzy cola. All in all one of the most pleasant eating experiences we've had in ages. We'll certainly be going back.

Not cheap but great friendly welcome with good food, and wine on tap - literally. Good range of wine including white, rose, young reds and crianzas. Slightly out of the way so use sat nav. It's worth it.

Really good meal and very accommodating. The food was cooked on an open fire which actually enhanced the flavour rather.

👍👍 I stopped by for a quick lunch and thought they we're closed but they weren't. And what a great lunch it was! Me and my GF had a bit of everything and tried a wonderful sallad with raisins and cherries topped with charred goat cheese. We had some smoked fish and also tried the local, succulent hare...

👍 Good cuisine, the kid with garlic is a delight. Good table service. Wines, with a large (and good) presence of Jumilla wineries.
