This is a great hotel for a family holiday. There are tons of activities for kids inside and the hotel's location just across from the Laajavuori skiing area, ensures multiple outdoor activities. The spa and pool areas are outstanding. While the building's age is starting to show, it's quirkiness is part of its charm.

Etukäteen check-in on turha, koska joutuu jonottamaan kuitenkin tiskille kuten kaikki muutkin 👎 Lapsille paljon aktiviteetteja 👍 Elokuvissa lapset pitävät meteliä ja vanhemmat puhuvat puhelimeen 🤦‍♂️ Ravintolassa sai odottaa laskua puolituntia, ilman, että kukaan tulee kysymään. Pitää siis muistaa huikata tarjoilija paikalle vaikka menee monesti ohi ja varmasti huomaa ruokailun loppuneen. Ruokaseurueen yksi ruoka tuli muiden jo syötyä, eikä sitä hyvitetty millään tavalla 👎 Ruoka oli kuitenkin hyvää 👍 Koirat huomioitu hyvin ja huoneessa kiva yllätys koiralle 👍

It was a modern site and had saunas and silmin pools and bowling alleys. It even had a pool table. And the rooms were tidy.

Arkkitehtuuri on 70-lukua, mutta kyllä tämä ihan kelpo hotelli on. Kylpylä nyt on sellainen mitä löytyy jokaisesta itseään kunnioittavasta uimahallista, paitsi saunapuoli on monipuolisempi ja palvelut laajemmat.

Huoneemme ei ollut ajallaan valmis jouduttiin hetken odottaa, n 30 min. Saimme kuitenkin loistavaa palvelua. Tarjottiin erikoiskahvit ja saimme vielä drinkkiliput kaupan päälle. Olimme tyytyväisiä. Huone oli myös mukava pienellä terassilla varustettu. Ainoa puute oli pyyhekuivan meistä. Kylpylä pieni ja viihtyisä. Vesijumpan pitäjä oli huippu! Myös sähköautojen lataus paikkoja löytyy oven vierestä. Oli käymisen arvoinen paikka!

Kyllä oli kehnoa toimintaa. Huone liian kuuma, todettiin että avaa ikkuna vaikka eihän se mitää auta kun ulkonakin kuuma. Tuulettimia ei ollut, mutta lähtöpäivänä sanottiin että olisi ollut. Tuli huijattu ja eriarvoinen olo. Sänkyni olikin tosi likainen, hamittaa että huomasin sen vasta lähtöpäivänä. Suihkun lattiakaivo tulvi ei vetänyt. Verhoissa, sohvassa ym muissa pinnoissa likaa ja lattioilla. Vaatii paljon uusimista. Puffetissa hinta liian kallis verrattuna tarjottavaan ruokaan. Kala ui suolassa. Henkilökunta ei osannut laskea rahoja ja tuli hieman epäilyttävä olotila. Keilaus toimi, kahvilas mukava henkilökunta. Minigolffi rata vaatii uudistusta. Lähtöpäivänä yrittivät vielä saada maksuja vaikka tulopäivänä jo huone maksettu. Jäi tosi huono maku hotellista. Kuva vielä sängystä. Hyi.

Have a nice restaurant and only spa hotel in Jyvaskyla. Quite expensive

Mostly valuable when travelling with kids. Old concrete building with rooms without cooling. Spa area is good and there is multiple saunas for men and women and one common infra red sauna as well. In addition to spa there is bowling alley, mini golf, multiple play rooms so at least smaller kids enjoy the stay. Our kids (10 and 4 yrs.) liked the place.

The hotel has a lot of facilities. Also has a big spa with sauna and pools. Two really well equipped fitness rooms and two restaurants. The hotel it self is quite old and feels hopelessly outdated. Room was very big but the bed was ridiculous small. Also the entire interior looks like it been there since the 80s. If you are staying for just a few nights this is probably ok, but it’s not cozy and feels a bit depressing. On the plus side the spa is included and towels and bathrobes are in the room. The larger restaurant was a disappointment for dinner. Small portions and very expensive. Service was also rather bad.

An okay hotel. Heating, ventilation and air Conditioning should be upgraded. Breakfast was fair. The room was clean. The swimming pool is really good. Playing facilities for children were well kept. The hotel is close to the main road as well as the forest with peaceful surroundings.

A really nice hotell with a big bathing house, gym and possibility to get massage and other treatments. There's also playrooms and kids cinema. Breakfast was really good. The hotell has restaurants. The only downside was the warm temperature in the room.. I seriously plan to go there with the family and be there for a whole week next summer vaccation.

As most Scandic Hotels excellent value for money. Hotel is around 3km from the center i.e. all the restaurants with a beautiful view over a lake. It has a bowling alley, swimming pool with Sauna and very good breakfast. It is a little older (the shower could use a makeover) but well kept and I love that it's incredibly child friendly with two playrooms, a kids table in the business corner!!, table tennis and a lovely outdoor playground.

Great place with a beautiful view. The hotel is in the perfect location. Service is amazing, very talkative and friendly staff, who seem to be very happy about working here. Interior is cozy, and great for the winter scenery. Lots of skiers in the winter, as there are plenty of skiing centres near the hotel, so some might find it crowded here. But amazing hotel, worth the price.

Hieman on ajanpatinaa havaittavissa, vaikka faceliftiä on yritetty tehdä. Kokous- ja pikkujoulupaikkana ihan hyvä, kun ruokailut kuuluvat pakettiin. Yksittäisenä lounas- tai ruokapaikkana hivenen tyyris. Lämmin ruoka on usein ollut haaleaa. Alku- ja pääruoka pöydät ovat kuitenkin monipuolisia ja ruoka maukasta.

Huoneet jämähtäneet iloiselle 80-luvulle. Rauhallinen sijainti luonnonhelmassa. Perustason kylpyläpalvelut. 3 saunaa kummallakin puolella, lastenallas, matkauintiallas, "kylpyläallas, poreallas, lämminvesiallas ja kylmävesi "avanto". Yllättävän hyvä kuntosali vaikka ei kookas olekaan. Ravintolan taso on laskenut "Little Italyn" myötä. Ihan hyvää, mutta raaka-aineissa säästetään selvästi kuten muissakin Scandiceissa. Sama näkyy aamiaisellakin. Kaikenlaista viheraate höpötystä esitteissä mutta missä "pihvi". Halvinta valkohomejuustoa, juustoa, kinkkua, "pekonia"=kinkun siivua, nakkia, kuivaa kauheaa falafel pullaa, jne. Kaikessa mennään "perus ketjukonsepti kelpaa" asenteella. Iloinen respan henkilökunta paikan parasta antia. Lapsiperheille kelpaavaa "perus meininkiä" kautta linjan, aineksia olisi paljon parempaan jos olisi intohimoa ja halua. Niukasti 4 tähteä kun yrittää olla höveli.

Hyvät oheisaktiviteet sisä- ja ulkoliikuntaan. Nykyään rauhallinen perheille sopiva majoitusvaihtoehto. Lievästi vanhahtava yleisilme.

Yövyin työmatkalla täällä. Paljon ilmaista parkkitilaa. Minut otettiin vastaanotossa ystävällisesti vastaan. Huone oli aika synkkä, ei kattovalaisinta. Vessa ja kylpyhuone isokokoinen. Huone ja hotelli muutenkin aika vanhentunut ja kaikki pinnat vaatisivat remonttia. Spa kylpylä oli aika tavanomainen. Hyviä poreita jotka olivat melkein hierontaa vastaavat. Aamupala oli perinteinen english breakfast. Hyvin liha painoitteinen, ei juuri hedelmää tai vihreää.

Sijainti ok. Hotellin yleisilme siisti sisään tultaessa. Palvelu kehnoa ja osaamatonta. Valmiiksi maksettuun huoneeseen sisäänkirjautuminen kaikkine kommervenkkeineen ja ongelmineen kesti yli puoli tuntia. Raskaan päivän päälle vähän liikaa kun toivot että pääset vaan huoneeseen lepäämään. Huone todella kuuma, käytävään pidettävä ovea auki että ilma kiertää. Ilmastointi ilm rikki tai jtn.. Sänky kova omalle selälle. Todella epämukava. 4h yöunet ja töihin pitäisi vääntäytyä. Vielä pitäisi pari yötä jaksaa. Kylpylä kokeiltava tänään. Sitä kai kehuttu. Aamupala outoon aikaan 7.30. joten se jää syömättä kun töissä pitäisi jo olla tuolloin. Aika paljon parannettava monessa kohtaa.

Viihtyisä hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla. Lapsiperheitä ajatellen tässä hotellissa on mahtavat kolme huonetta lapsille, joissa touhuta. Kylpylä oli mukava kokemus, mutta höyrysauna lisänä ei olisi pahitteeksi? Hotellin aamiaistilat ovat isot.

Huone oli kiva, sänky iso ja hyvä nukkua. Tekemistä riitti ympäristössä. Kylpylä pieni ja mukava. Ravintolassa palvelu hidasta, kallis pihvi mautonta ja kypsyys väärä, piti olla 2 kertaa medium, saatiin raaka ja kypsä. Palaute annettiin heti tarjoilijalle, ei tullut kokilta pahoitteluja, joten selvästikään ei asiakkaita arvosteta.

Nostalgic hotel and rooms, I imagine USSR. Rooms are spacey but you notice that they have been used for 50 years. Spa was fun for 7 year old, pool is 140cm deep so we were stuck in a shallow corner since our kid is 125cm tall. A lot of saunas and all of them with weird sounds playing. One sauna is hot and the rest are very cold. 185€ for 1 night is 85€ too much, especially since slippers are 5€ extra... Little Italy restaurant is a real rip-off. No children menu but a buffet consisting of cold and dry fries, spaghetti etc. the place was full (only restaurant) and no kids were eating, we managed to not pay for it. Our foods were: under cooked pizza, Burger with dry and hard bun with a hard "medium" patty. My starter was forgotten, asked them not to bring it since I already ate my main, got it anyway.. 2 beers and check was 51.68€. Looking forward to the breakfast.

The place overall was very nice. Everything is a little bit old, so there's a lot of room for improvement.. There's a lot of facilities which are great for families.

Kylpylä oli siisti. Aamupala oli maukasta. Oli paljon aktiiviteettejä lapsille ja yleisesti koko perheelle. Ei ollut puhelinta. Huoneessamme ei ollut hätätilanteen sattuessa ohjeita. Roukabuffet oli pahaa ja vanhaa. Salaatti kuivaa. Kurkku jäätynyttä. Vähän vaihtoehtoja. Ruoka oli kylmää. Huoneessamme ei ollut vessapaperia, kun saavuimme ja jouduimme itse menemään respaan asti kysymään sitä. Lapsille ei ollut kylpytakkeja. Jouduimme itse kaksi kertaa kysymään heiltä sellaisia ja jopa respasta kerran. Matkassamme oli viisi ihmistä. Kaksi heistä nukkui sohvalla joka oli avattu sängyksi ja se oli todella epämukava. Pyysimme että saisimme vedenkeittimen. Emme saaneet sitäkään vaan jouduimme käydä kysymässä sitäkin.

Viihtyisä hotelli upeiden lenkkeilymaastojen vieressä Kylpylä viihtyisä, siisti. Neljä erilaista saunaa, joissa todellakin rentoutui. Henkilökunta 10+, ruokaravintola oli positiivinen yllätys. Aamupala oli paras, verrattuna, mitä ketjun muissa hotelleissa olen syönyt. Huone oli pienoinen pettymys, melko kulunut, ilmanvaihto huono. Sisäilmaongelmaisena reagoin🥺 Kuulin jälkikäteen, että hotellissa on myös uusittuja paremmalla ilmanvaihdolla olevia huoneita.

Nice hotel next to the laajavuori ski area. Between Palokka shops and the Jyväskylä city to give free choice of things to do in the city, although car dependent. Bus does stop there, but infrequent. Spa was lovely. Mens had three sauna, women have two. Then infrared sauna for both. Steam room shared between the two with wall separating men and women access. Spa itself has 15m pool, and spa area great views of the sun rise in the morning. Lots of water therapy things. Just not enough time for it!! 💦😉 Bowling alley, lots of kids playing area, with lots of activities.

Good hotel and spa but the room was a little old looking and feeling. Paint missing in some places and overall worn out looking hotel room. The spa was very good and warm, although there was a lot of people there mostly retired people. Restaurant was good although at the time I was there they had a lot of new hires who were still in training.

Good service, nice location outside of the city center. Hotel itself is a bit outdated, but everything works as expected.

Good hotel for families, the hotel has a big pool area, bowling and other areas for kids. Big parking, which is for free. The pool area was super busy and got pretty crowded by 8.30 (opened 8am). The hotels interior looks like the old Vinking line ferries and is so old looking that it’s almost modern again. 😀 The hotel is far from the centre. A typical Scandic breakfast (not great) with an added kids sweets section (which was very popular). Dogs cost 20 euros extra and we received nice treats and a toy for our doggo.

Very very noisy hotel, air conditioning system sounded like a jet engine all night and day, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the hotel they say was renovated in 2007, I guess they missed the room I stayed in. Food: breakfast not so good, evening meals, if you like burgers then this is for you.not much of a choice...,👎👎

Good "forest" hotel not looking good from outside.

We stayed 7 nights and it was many things good like for example: pool it was enough warm, breakfast good, kids playground it was renovated and good space. But the cleaning service it was one of the worst I have seen, in one week the cleaners did not make vacuum onde and I have 2 small kids the second day it was dirt already, but did not clean. When I check out the receptionist did not asked me if everything it was ok, in my opinion is normal question when you are one week in one hotel. But I know why she did not asked me cause I am not Finnish that's right unfortunately here in Finland when you are not Finnish everything is different like my money is not the same. Every day I am more happy with this asiakaspalvelu suomessa 👎👎👏👏👏

Spa is great. Rooms are a bit oldish. No air conditioning in rooms, thus might be extremely hot in summer. Service in restaurant requires improvement, though the food is ok.

Saneeraus tehty todella pienellä budjetilla niihin huoneisiin mitkä edes rempattu. 70- luvun elementtitalon äänieristys antaa kaiken läpi. Askeleet tumisee ja naapurihuoneen äänet kuuluu selkeästi. Pyyhkeissä hiuksia vaikka pitäisi olla pesty. Lakanat tuntuvat hiekkaisilta vaikka emme edes olleet avanneet ennen iltaa peittoja pois. Lattiat olivat hiekkaisia tullessamme huoneeseen. Toisena päivänä huonetta ei ole siivottu eikä edes pedattu. Jännä että parempaan huoneeseen kuuluu kylpytakit muttei tossuja! Pienellä pilataan kun pitää ulkokengillä kävellä kylpylään. Koira haukkui ja ulisi naapurihuoneessa vaikka koirat ei tässä kerroksessa sallittuja. Ei ole hinnan väärti

Spa/pool is lovely and clean, but a bit pricey considering it's quite small.

Great location some 300m from the Laajavuori lift. We visited during the region’s ski holidays (school’s out) so the pool area which is not huge, was crowded. Breakfast was fantastic and abundant. Room view is excellent.

Old and rung-down place with the atmosphere of a 1980's youth hostel. Although it's hot, you can't open the windows. The spa and pool are closed - but we couldn't cancel our reservation although the spa and pool were the only reason we booked the hotel in the first place.

Food was great and seasonal (buffet), bowling was fun. I only visited for the evening so cant comment on rooms. In general the hotel's indoors seemed well maintained amd modern. No complaints about the service of hotel staff 👍

Hotel itself was not fancy but well maintained. The grounds and forest setting are spectacular. And by American standards the rates are quite reasonable. But best of all is the attentive and friendly service. I do not speak a word of Finnish, but that did not prevent me from having an excellent visit.

Starting to wear out , old hotel. The rooms are clean and all is in order still. The small spa area is a plus, has 5 different saunas.
