Found this little traditional pub randomly. Great beer, 80's music always on, friendly locals! None of the tourist trappings, just simple fun and chat. We'll be back

For everyone who likes a “normal” original pub with music from the 80s, this is absolutely recommended. I really, really liked it!

Angela, a soul of a thoroughbred pub landlady. Hopefully she doesn't continue to throw away the rubbish when she enters the carnival. Homemade rhubarb is a must-try. If you're looking for a typical Cologne pub, this is the place for you.

A beautiful restaurant, we came to Rüttgers by chance while looking for a Kölsch and a place to sit. The music was varied, from current hits to the 80s, and was just loud enough to have a great conversation. kölsch for €1.70 and an owner who probably knew everyone in the guest by name rounded off my experience. Would be happy to come back at any time and an absolute recommendation for cozy evenings with GOOD friends.

Beautifully rustic furnishings and top service. In my opinion the only real pub in the old town. Reissdorf Kölsch at a very, very good price.

The place to be. Hier trifft sich die Altstadt und alle die nach einem Geheimtipp in Köln suchen. Die Gastgeberin sorgt für ordentliche Unterhaltung und man kommt schnell ins Gespräch. Einfach, ehrlich und unkompliziert 👍

War an einem Samstag mit vier Leuten dort, direkt mit an die Theke gestellt, was haben wir erlebt? Richtig ein urige Kölner Kneipe, mit einer netten Wirtin und Kölner mit dehnen man dirikt super Spaß hatte. Sollte ich mal wieder in Köln sein ist diese Adresse Pflicht. Danke für den schönen Abend.

*Update 2024* been here again and still impressed. There are now songs playing that you can sing along to if you're not from Cologne. Lots of local guests. In between it was full on women's carnival, then there was space again, everything was pleasant and very fun, once again!!! Great atmosphere (Weiberfastnacht), friendly service and “cheap” prices (compared to other pubs at that time). Only Cologne songs! I like it, but not everyone

War am 11.11. im Rüttgers, ganz tolle Kneipe mit lauter netten Leuten, guter Stimmung. Und das in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Hotspot. Komme nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder
