This restaurant is definitely special, actually as every Japanese restaurant. Big portions of traditional ramen or small dishes with very special taste - delicious. Interesting mixture for every pocket. Very quiet place with excellent service. I really love the personal. The only problem is that it is almost impossible to reach them via telephone. After 4 days of hopeless tries I just went there to book a table. Every time visiting Muku is a different wonderful experience. The special Menu is changing very often and you have great chance to try something new. Ratings are below (1 - worse, 5 - the best): The overall food is very good - 5/5 (7 dishes was perfect other 1 from total 8 dishes were good) Quantity of food was perfect - 5/5 Service is perfect (hard to reach them via phone) - 4+/5. Atmosphere is very nice - 5/5. Prices of food/drinks are high and low depends what you want - 5/5. Overall - very special experience.

Had an incredible dinner experience at Muku ! The food was absolutely amazing, and the atmosphere was on point. We tried Muku Ramen , Furi Furi Men , Karage , Prawns tempura and mores.. No doubt, this is the best Japanese restaurant in Frankfurt. Every dish we tried was a taste sensation. Big shoutout to the wonderful ambiance and impeccable service. Highly recommended !!

The restaurant offers many choices of Japanese Tapas, which are well-made and very tasty . Fried pumpkins were surprisingly delicious. Steamed oysters were not dry and very fresh (the size of Oyster meat was random, some huge, some small). After the nice taste of noodles, a cup of dessert (Annin tofu= almond tofu) was just a nice ending.

I’m quite a picky eater and the Ramen here was fantastic, the broth was equal to none. Nice environment, superb service. Delicious low sugar and tasty green tea ice cream for dessert. Can’t wait to go back.

Such amazing ramen - a fusion of Japanese and German. I first had Muku at the pop up store at the Yokohama Ramen Museum and was simply blown away by the taste - some of the very best ramen I have ever had in my life, in Japan or anywhere else in the world. I knew I had to come to the honten here in Frankfurt to taste it again. Once again, Muku did not disappoint. Everything was perfect from the broth to the noodles to the sauerkraut. Even the side dishes were impeccable. Do be sure to either get a reservation or line up early - seats get taken up VERY quick.

Very authentic Japanese restaurant, food is just so fresh and amazing! Must order is their Sashimi mixed - €30 - value of money is top of the top! Their ramen is good too but still prefer the one in Düsseldorf more. Make sure you have reservation, the Place is small and always full.

Dinner at Muku was one of the best meals I had in a long time! I went there without any expectations as I thought it’s probably just another ramen restaurant. Reserved a table for 4, ( I really had to deduct one star since it was so difficult to reach someone there, after my 36 calls, fortunately a lady answered) we had the table at the window. The interior was so nice, warm and elegance. Service was really friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic! We were very satisfied with all our dishes what we ordered especially the karaage, just a simple menu but the deep fried chicken was just perfect, the juiciness, tenderness and the taste, Wow! The ramen was really really good. And before we left it was raining they even gave us the umbrellas! That’s why I adore Japanese people because of their kindness. Of course we will bring them back on the next visit ;) We are looking forward to come back again and hopefully it won’t be that difficult to reach someone on the phone 😂

Very very good Japanese food ! The taste and quality and attention to detail from the chefs is top level. I came to this restaurant to eat because of the reviews but the food is 1000x times better than you can possibly imagine. Recommended 100%

We’ve been coming here for the past seven years and it gets better with every visit! The Muku team is incredibly friendly and responsive when you reach out via their Instagram account. We continue to be amazed with the various dishes as they’re all super tasty. We tried the toro appetizer and it was just perfect. We live in New York and Vegas and we wish there was a place like Muku! ❤️

こにちわ Muku is probably the best kept secret for Japanese food in Frankfurt. Outside there is no indication that behind the doors welcomes you a little Japanese hideaway. Furniture and concrete walls are minimalistic but stylish. Menu has a variety of Japanese food and several Sake. Waiters are mostly from Japan, very friendly and welcoming. Japanese hospitality at its best. We forgot our reading glasses at home. They offer reading classes in different strengths. Never experienced that anywhere else. Reservations are mandatory. If you are undecided, waiters are helping you with recommendations. Tip. Order small dishes and in the end Ramen.

[Follow me on Instagram to stay up to date - eatwith.thien] #Miso Ramen 🇯🇵🍜 Bowl of miso based noodle soup with minced meat, onions, and spring onions. On request that I would like the broth a little spicier, there was an extra charge . #Karaage🍗 Four fried chicken fillets with mayonnaise and a slice of lemon . #Gyoza🥟 Six fried dumplings filled with pork and vegetables . 💶Prices: 🍜15€ 🍗10€ 🥟8€ . @ramen_muku_frankfurt has been my favorite japanese restaurant for Ramen so far. I haven't been there for a year, so I wanted to eat there again. As a starter, I ordered fried chicken fillets and fried dumplings for me and my companion. 🥟The dumplings were delicious. The minced meat and vegetables were flavorful. The dough was soft and there was still a thin, crispy layer sticking to the bottom, which gave the dish a crunch. 🍗The fried chicken fillets were excellent and there were very large portions in contrast to other Karaages in japanese restaurants. The breading was crispy and the meat inside was very tender. By squeezing the lemon on the chicken fillets and dipping them into the mayonnaise, the chicken fillets got a refreshing, acidic and creamy taste. 🍜Unfortunately, the restaurant has a new menu with only three types of ramen instead of seven as it was then and they were even new. The supposedly spicy Miso Ramen we ordered wasn't spicy at all and unfortunately the broth didn't meet my taste. It tasted like regular soybean paste from an asian grocery store and the noodles were very short. I couldn't taste the minced meat or couldn't find it in the broth. I hope that the old menu will come back or that at least the many delicious Ramen from back then will be integrated into the new menu . 💆‍♀️The waitress was very friendly and kept asking about our wellbeing. 🏮In my opinion the restaurant looks nice. It is japanese in style and recently has japanese partitions between the tables. 📍The restaurant can easily be reached by tram as the station is right in front of the restaurant . 🍽Food: 🥟4/5 🍗5/5 🍜1/5 💆‍♀️Service 4/5 🏮Ambiance 4/5 📍Location 4/5

Delicious ramen! The broth was absolutely phenomenal and so creamy/smooth. I would say the portion size is a bit small if you wanted to feel very full at the end but perfect really for being able to buy an entree or dessert. Service was good, but it was obvious they wanted us either to buy more things or to leave, which I can understand as the table space is limited due to Corona.

it is unfortunate that the service for the reservation is so bad. The food is fine but the new tapas concept is not well suited to such a rusty venue. Probably the best Ramen in Frankfurt. The soups are fresh with the right quantity and very good quality meat. Make sure you try some of the appetizers with fish and enjoy the evening with a fireball and some good sake!

Amazingly delicious food and very good hospitality. The food was better than what I had tasted in Japan, and one of the best meals I have had all year. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, or come before opening time and hope to get a table (we were very lucky to have done this).

Excellent food and service! Ate with the family and enjoyed my ramen so much. Muku ramen is a must try and match it with their small rice with fresh fish! Will definitely be back :)

Nice flavors, nice Service, small space, is better to go with reservation since is not easy to find a table. I would say a bit pricey compare with other Ramen places still nice flavors though

Muku is getting better and better. We’ve been coming to the restaurant for 3 years now and every time we come back we find some new fantastic food. It’s very cozy, the service is outstanding and the food is always delicious. I can’t wait to come back 🤍

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Frankfurt. Not only is the food delicious, but they also sometimes switch up their tapas menu featuring seasonal ingredients. And best of all, their service is welcoming. I understand the other reviews where it’s difficult to make a reservation, but they also accept walk-ins. You would most likely need to wait after they take down your name and number, but it’s located near a lot of bars so you can grab a drink while you wait. In my opinion, it’s worth the wait because of the food, service, and the cozy ambience. + I love their plum wine! My favourite way to end off my meal there.

And we didn‘t even have the ramen! Superb little Japanese gem in Sachsenhausen. Try all the hot and cold starters, they call them tappas. Finest ingredients, best way to prepare them, you get a truly amazing fare of wonderful Japanese dishes, which are simply delicious! A very special mention deserve the more than fair prices. Great organic wines and a special sake menu complement the truly remarkable experience! Must reserve! If you like Asian food, do not leave Frankfurt without having been there!

The first authentic tonkotsu Ramen I have experienced in Germany. It just tasted like in Japan, and the noodles were thin with a firm texture - my new favourite! Portion size was adequate for me, but may be too little for an 'average' person. It's pricier than your standard Ramen place in Germany, but the authenticity makes up for it. Many Japanese people eating here, which is a good sign always. Definitely recommending this place!

One of the best restaurants in Frankfurt. Hard to find any flaws in this place. Staff is extremely nice, food is tasty and balanced, wide selection of sakes and cozy location. A must in the city.

atmosphere is top notch, food is good but it is very pricey. 4 bowls of ramen, 1 fried soft shell crab and a very little salad was about 150 € with a few beers. i will be back but maybe on a special occasion.

One of the best ramens in town (top 1 position shared with Ramen Jun). Great service and variety of food. Reserve or forget trying to get a spot here

  • 3/5 Se S. 2 years ago on Google
For how spoiled I am with the authentic ramen I usually am able to get, the ramen here is not the best. The noodles (miso and tonhatsu) were both too soft and the soup flavor was just ok. However, adding one star for the sake and side dishes which were both amazing. The place was overbooked by the time we got there (8pm) and as a deprived ramen lover visiting Frankfurt for the first time, I was willing to wait 20-30 mins. Overall was a great experience!
