Saw the huge yellow signage of Merzenich all over the city with nice bakery foods. Finally went in one and we got an almond pretzel, Berliner, and a Blenenstich (Bee Sting Cake). Overall I liked the Blenenstich as well as the Berliner! The almond pretzel is such a big draw here but I personally did not enjoy it as much as others. Nice to see this location had a good amount of seating area, very busy during the time we were here!

Okay food but bad attitude. If you buy takeaway, you can not even sit for 10 second before someone asking you to go away

Female staff was extremely unfriendly. I politely asked if they have hot water, the female staff at the front was extremely mad about my question. The one star is for the male staff at the takeaway kiosk.

I was a bit early for my train to Brussels and had a coffee and croissant here to pass the time. Both were good and the staff friendly, I had no complaints.

The Pretzels 🥨 were super good!!

The bakery fell short of expectations. The belegtes Brötchen seemed to be made with old bread, giving it a stale taste. Additionally, the coffee was notably poor in quality. Overall, a less than satisfactory experience. Would recommend caution before deciding to visit.

Purchased 3 Berliners and 1 Nougatbrezel. They looked good but did not taste freshly baked.
