Working at Bayer, this is one of the many treats as an employee. In the lunch break, have a stroll in the park laid out by Carl Duisberg himself 100 years ago. The tranquility and beauty of the selected flora also attracts many tourists - the garden is open to the public as well.

A very cozy park. Close to Bayer. As I understood - this park was created by this company as an aspect of social responsibility of business. An extremely charming block of Japanese landscape culture. when we were blooming camellias. Beautiful lawns with grass. In another corner, a luxurious casino and Versailles style with boxwood walkways and statues. Many families with children. They conduct photo shoots in Japanese costumes.

One of the best if not the best Japanese gardens outside Japan. It is so spacious, over 15.000m2 and covering everything from torii gates to stone lanterns, bridges, statuettes, gorgeous scenery and perfect arrangement. Hidden in the end of the park, it is a true gem near Köln.

(Translated by Google) "Opening times ... may vary", at the same time "Open" is reported - is a little poor; if wg. Corona is closed, and that's it, then the person responsible should like to add a "closed". The system itself is a fine one, but it is not to be visited - unclean.

I love this place. Although, closed due to Corona, however the park surrounding it is marvelous. Very serene environment with a lot of views to different animals like tortoise, fish, ducks etc. I love every bit of the time I spent here.

Am WE etwas überlaufen.

I highly recommend walking the larger park with big trees and various wooded trails in addition to the Japanese area. I also recommend making a stop here if you are driving between Köln and Dusseldorf. It's windy today and the trees are waving all around, air so fresh.

(Translated by Google) So beautiful and has been for so many years. I like to go there again and again. In the meantime we have a lot of great memories of the garden and the outside environment. A nice place for photography, picnics, walks and relaxation. Even if it is sometimes well attended, you can find a quiet place for yourself. I can only recommend. There is also enough parking space there when it is not on weekdays.

(Translated by Google) If the garden is closed, why is every TG displayed here on Google that it is open from morning on ??? Why are there such searches ????? Other locations can do that too ... It was nice there, but I can only enjoy the Japanese Garden when it's open and I don't have to walk around outside (Original) Wenn der Garten geschlossen hat, wieso wird hier bei Google jeden TG angezeigt, dass er ab morgens geöffnet ist??? Perfect place to chill and restore your energy, it's quiet and peaceful, there are beautiful fish and the trees are marvelous. During winter time it's also a nice place to visit although, the trees aren't as pretty as they usually are during the summer, it's still and amazing activity to do.

(Translated by Google) Even in winter when the weather is bad, it is worth visiting the facility. Overall, however, the park seems to be showing its age. Which surprises me a little that Bayer also has mossy meadows, but that's just nature. Please follow me on Instagram, thank you very much! (Translated by Google) It has always been wonderful, and it continues to be so well cared for, with the red pagodas, the perfumes, the plants ... to walk inside, with maximum harmony in the soul ... highly recommended even for very sensitive people. from chaos, to come back in harmony with your feelings, gently .. Recommended. It takes a little to feel good, seriously. (Translated by Google) Keeping such an apparently beautiful facility closed is very bad. There may be a better rating if it can be viewed this calendar year. And I was there in Carl-Duisberg-Park on Monday mornings. Hardly any people on the way! The distance of 1.5m would have been possible, I think! (Possibly only on the weekends, possibly school holidays would have been enough) (Original) So eine anscheinend schöne Anlage geschlossen zu halten ist sehr schlecht. Kaum Leute unterwegs! (Translated by Google) The Japanese garden in Leverkusen is a social / cultural facility of Bayer AG and with an area of approx. 15,000 m² it is part of the Carl Duisberg Park. The complex was created around 1926 on the initiative of Prof. Carl Duisberg, who had set up a small Japanese garden next to his villa as early as 1913. The garden area contains a variety of East Asian plants and is of course also a gathering point for many birds and other animals. In the ponds you can, among other things watch imposing Koi fish (Japanese: Nishikigoi). The water systems include Streams, fountains and waterfalls. Japanese buildings, architectural elements, works of art and sculptures enrich the Far Eastern impression of this place. The complex is very well maintained and can be described as a source of peace and relaxation. Admission is free for everyone.
