Horrible. Feels like everything was built in 90’s and not renovated since then. Very dark, old school in a bad way. Not cosy at all. We asked for another room, they didn’t get why, saying it’s their best one. One side facing railways with 5 meters distance. In the end we checked out next day asking for some compensation for the night we didn’t stay for and got nothing, not even 50% compensation. So I wouldn’t recommend this place mostly because this place won’t make enjoy your stay, unfortunately. I am not picky, I love to leave good reviews but this time I can’t :(

Stayed here for one night during a short trip to Cologne. The room was spacious, equipped with everything one could ask for. The staff were very friendly.

Really big room !! It has a large clean bathroom, a separate area to arrange all your clothes and shoes. Breakfast is extra for the price, but it is satisfying. The parking lot is right next to an extra charge (24 hours ... this is a bit complicated though, it's good to explain it to you) There is also free parking on the side of the hotel, only in the evening and on public holidays. The staff is very kind. They do not have cleaning every day, from what we were told due to the Covit regulation, but when we wanted, for example, towels or handkerchiefs, we asked the reception, which is open 24 hours, and they gave them to us. The hotel is on a main road so there is a little noise from cars. It is relatively close to the center. We will speed it up again because it was a very good choice. Thank you.

The hotel was fantastic. We stayed three nights when we were in Cologne city. The hotel is situated near to the railway station (Hansaring) which is the perfect location. You can see the hotel from the railway station itself. You can easily get connecting trains to Central Cologne Station and other places in the city and other nearby cities too. The railway station is well connected with the underground tram station too which is very handy again. We usually used the train and tram to roam around the city during our stay. The room was very big and exceeds our expectations. The room is warm too during winter which is very good. You will get everything in the room such as a loaded mini bar, two slippers, a TV, a sofa, a wardrobe, mirrors, a working desk, and a kettle with tea, sugar (white & brown), coffee packets, etc. The wardrobe has a safe locker too. The bathroom is big and has all the necessary items such as shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, and towels. Not except toothbrushes and Colgate). The room is soundproof. We didn't hear any outside noise and we slept well. The housekeeping was very good too. We did early check-in too (12am) and there was no charge for that too. The hotel has everything within a budget cost. I'll recommend this hotel to all. Go there without hesitation if you are not using the wifi for WFH (work from home) option. Definitely, I will stay there again whenever I visit Cologne or nearby cities. FYI: We traveled to Cologne during Christmas 2022 and It was very beautiful. All public transport was there during Christmas time which is very very helpful. You can easily roam around the city with public transport. Tips: Most shops asked for cash except big outlets and shopping malls as they accept card payments (Be aware of that to keep some cash in hand when you are traveling in Germany). Disliked · Everything was fantastic in the hotel except the wifi in the hotel is very slow. You can't do the work from home with the speed of the wifi. Hope they will improve in the future.

Nice hotel, situated at 15 minutes walking from Koln Cathedral. We received a free upgrade of the rooms. The rooms received were very big and comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. Totally recommend for a stay in Köln.

We stayed here for 5 days and our stay was wonderful. Location: next to hansaring train station, which is 1 stop from cathedral or main station. You can even walk to cathedral from here. Breakfast: very good spread of breakfast, tea, cofee, bread, jam, butter, cereal, yogurt, many types of meat. Rooms: clean, neat, everything was functional, rooms were cleaned everyday Reception: receptionists were friendly and they have someone at reception 24x7

I recommend everyone to visit and live in this wonderful place. The service at the hotel is at the highest level, the breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are clean and beautiful.

Nice old hotel in a very good location, one station away from the central station and in front of metro. Definitely not worth the price, cause we were there during the Messe, but still liked it. Clean and quiet with friendly staff.

Service is very good and the team is friendly. They always try make things work for their guests. The rooms are a bit „old“ tho and could have some refurbishment. The location is ok - connection to public transport is good and you can walk to the Dom or Ehrenstraße.

Spacious rooms, clean, helpful staff at the reception, a large selection at breakfast. Unfortunately, I left my wallet in the room and was robbed of cash. Take care of things left in the room!

The guy at the reception told us we may go to breakfast and didn’t give information about the price. Usually when hotels offer breakfast they tell you it will cost money. We attended two hotels before this one and it was very clear. It made me think it was some kind of hotel courtesy but appeared to be an unfortunate miss understanding. The breakfast itself doesn’t worth the value in my opinion. The hotel room however was clean and big, the wifi worked and the location wasn’t bad.

Very friendly person checked us in. He was extremely helpful with all our need. Overall a nice hotel. We got a huge room, I didn’t expect that. My cat felt welcomed as well😻

The location is pretty good, just next to the tube station. Room was quite big and clean. But the light in the room was too dark and there was no heater, tea bags and kettle in my room. Breakfast was good, I was amazed that I could eat flaky croissant in hotel.

They let us check in early so it was super because we have two young children. The room is huge and it was clean. The manager is pretty nice. We didn't have the breakfast there because there is a charge for baby.

Nice hotel, the location is nearby station, we're too tired so we didn't hear any noise. Our double room is big than expected. The parking garage is not so good, if you drive SUV, pls be careful, otherwise your car might get scratch due to narrow path. We recomend you should place a kettel in each room. Overall, the hotel is recommended.

Excellent location being very close to Hansaring metro station. Rooms are spacious. Those allergic to carpets should be careful.

Awesome hotel. The best 4 star hotel I've been to. The location made it so feasible to reach anywhere in a short span of time. It's barely 10 mins walk to the hbf. The rooms are spacious and so comfortable. The housecleaning staff and the staff serving breakfast are super friendly as well. Extremely good. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing hotel even if it was near the station train and the noisy area. I really appreciated my moment there. I would like to come there again on my next trip in Köln.

We really liked the big rooms and their retro style. The breakfast buffet was nice too. Hotel location was good enough. Overall, it's a much better than deal I could find elsewhere in Cologne (we booked 3 weeks ahead for the Xmas markets, so maybe lots were already booked)

A good hotel! The rooms are huge and very spacious. It was sparkling clean.The furnitures are also very comfortable. Beautiyful skyline of Cologne is visible from the windows. The hotel has a very good gym and sauna. They offer bathrobes and sandals for sauna. There was a good variety of breakfast options available and the meal was decent. The staff were very hospitable and friendly. They actively answered all our questions and made some really nice suggestions for some events happening around. The location was okish. It it right next to a train station.

The hotel is situated in a very rough area. Front desk is not responsive, not answering calls. And when they do, they give out misinformation. Both receptionists went on cigarette breaks at the same time leaving the front desk unattended. We queried a couple of things with them that they were not willing to resolve. Very cocky and patronising behaviour.

There is no electrical kettle in rooms and also you can't order coffee in rooms, but the breakfast was good.

Big room and friendly staff, clean, good shower. You don't want a room facing the rail tracks, they run through the night. Check out is at 11am not 12 as stated on here.

very likely place. Large rooms, well suited furniture. Interesting place with various rescued old time interior combined with a modernd steel and glass architecture. The floors and stairs are of an exceptional size. Excellent service. Fair prizes. Clean and well prepared. Parking direct within the building.

Clean and large rooms but a few issues with service. Front desk staff are less than helpful. Cleaning staff came into the room without knocking and asked us to leave so they could do their work. Deadbolt was broken. Breakfast was good. A fine place to lay your head but if you want decent customer service, this is not the place for you.

Great stay. The room was huge. They had the couch pulled out with sheets and a pack and play set up when we got there since we were traveling with two kids. The U-Bahn and Straßenbahn Station was just outside and one stop from the Hauptbahnhof. Room was pretty clean. Breakfast was alright - looked like they had to downsize the meal because of Corona. Parking garage was connected to the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Good service at arrival. Handy online check-in and check-out. Spacious and modern superior room, however there were two single beds instead of a double bed, put together with an uncomfortable split in the middle. Mattress and pillow were uncomfortable because too soft. Too noisy because of closeness to the train station. We didn't like also the cleaning lady knocking at our door at 9 in the morning, when the check in time is at 11. Good value for money overall and for just one night, but I will chose a different hotel for my next stay in Cologne.

Very nice staff. Breakfast was good although scrambled eggs have a very funny texture. Rooms are really big and beds are comfy but the wifi just sucks. I had to work one day from the hotel and had to do so using my mobile data. We could leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout 👌🏻

The hotel was great! Huge clean rooms and very well located, just 15 min walking from the cathedral. Amazing breakfast except for the scramble eggs that looked like jelly 😬. Staff was helpful and friendly 😄 We would definitely recommend it 💛

We loved the views out of our 6th floor room. The breakfast buffet has an abundant mix of cold and warm breakfast and brunch items, something for everyone. Worth the added cost!

From start to finish, everything was perfect for our stay in Azimut Hotel. The location is great, right next to the Hansaring train station (direct link to the airport every 30 minutes and city centre every 5). It's a short stroll to St. Ursula's Church and to the Cathedral and city centre. Location couldn't be better! From the outside, the Azimut may look dated, but it is a listed building and has been preserved. Everything in the hotel is spotless. Check in and out were a dream. The rooms are large and very comfortable. My mother broke her arm while in Cologne and the staff were so kind and considerate to the situation. I must mention the wonderful bar man who is an absolute asset to the hotel, a true gentleman. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and great coffee. I just can't recommend this hotel enough and I look forward to coming back.

Well located. Nice spacious rooms. Good breakfast. The only thing is that the bathroom shower glass door is weird and water spills onto the bathroom floor... Other than that everything is pretty good

It doesn't have WiFi in the rooms. Less than 1mbps on the third floor, useless. You can go to other hotels for the same price in koeln and have a better internet connection.

Our room was very large and comfortable but was facing the rail station and was very noisy (especially when windows had to be opened since the room had some strange smell inside). The receptionist claimed that their cheap rooms are always facing the train and refused to change it. Additionally, the price noted in the web while ordering says it includes taxes but in reality the hotel charged additional tax claiming its the "normal" city tax (nothing was written in the reservation regarding this additio al tax. Also here the hotel refused to give back this additional tax.

Rooms are lovely and spacious. Lady on reception, with great nails was super friendly. Breakfast was OK, but service non existent. Neither of us were offered coffee. Orange juice ran out and not refilled. Location, I'm a light sleeper, so a room next to the train track wasn't great.

Very nice rooms, spacious, near train station but on the other side so it is not noisy. Breakfast is great, coffee very good! It is very nice atmosphere with old town photos, stone details, and service is very good. I would reccomend!

We have stayed at this hotel for just 1 night. We arrived in "Köln" during the day and had some trouble finding the parking lot to the hotel. As one of us asked the receptionist we finally got the answer. The parking lot is a little bit narrow and is shared with the shopping mall there (if I recall it correctly). Hotel guests need to drive to the top because just there are the spots of the hotel. Luckily we have access to the hotel right away which is relieving (I would recommend a card reader at the door so that hotel guest can go in without ringing the bell at the reception). CHECKIN As my father completed the checkin without us I can not give any feedback to this process. ROOM The floors and rooms were smelling old. Even though I opened the windows for many many hours the smell just wouldn't vanish. The size of the room was big enough for sure and had a little minibar (which was empty but I prefer that) so we can put our own beverages and snacks in there. The TV was not bad but I prefer watching from the bed and that wasn't possible here. I personally don't want to watch from the chair but that is just my opinion. BATHROOM The bathroom was nice. The Shower cabin was quite big and they use shower and body gels in a box so they can refill it. Much better than those little plastic containers that people steal. I thought that the water would run out of the cabin but it didn't so I am happy about that. There was even a weird red light inside which I couldn't understand why but I am not rating this. Interesting let's say. In the night the air condition was quite loud. It could be more quiet for sure but on the other hand I am happy that they have one in general. BREAKFAST They have breakfast but we didn't use this service so I can not give feedback. Just one thing: We asked the receptionist what kind of things there are but she just said: "You can check tomorrow in the breakfast room because it would be too much to explain that now." I do not think it takes a lot. Sell us the breakfast! CHECKOUT As my father also took care of that I can not review that. All in all it wasn't very far from the city center and the price was definitely fine. Parking was a bit too expensive but on the other side I am not sure if there is a cheaper opportunity in the area. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby and also the public transport is right in front of the hotel! Room could smell and look better but the rest seems quite nice!
