Nice hotel for this price. The room is small but is good for this price. The location is great (close to the railway station and plenty of the shops and cafes around). Friendly staff. Wi-fi works fine.

Honestly can't find fault with this hotel. Its a lovely place withing walking distance to everything city center. Breakfast was generous for the price we paid. I was in the single room and paid €51 per night with breakfast. The hotel also offers free coffee and tea to all their guest. The receptionist Alex was very friendly and made me feel so welcomed. Honestly a nice place and will definitely come back.

Great location, price & staff. Our room was plenty spacious. The beds were comfortable, although the mattress was a little hard. The view was also great. Wholly recommended if you’re want to stay in Cologne for a few days on a budget.

I had an early flight out of CGN, so decided to get a single room for myself to stay the night before my flight. The room is quite small which is somewhat expected for a single room. However, the bathroom is tiny, the legroom you get when you sit on the toilet is half of what you get on a Ryanair plane. The noise isolation isn't great, I could hear everything the people in the next room did, including adjusting their curtains. There is no elevator. My room is on the 3rd floor. Luckily I am traveling lightly but might be inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. The reason for the high rating is mostly the location and the fact that it wasn't very expensive.

Dirty, run down, incredibly expensive. Room is smelly, carpet disgusting, building is old and could use major renovations. Nothing like the pictures. Bed very uncomfortable. I didn't check thoroughly and assumed it was a decent hotel as it was in the same list as Marriott etc. and similar in price. So yeah, I paid 4-star hotel prices for this absolute dump on its very last legs. It's obviously an old place that's being milked for every last cent of profit before demolition. Stay far away. Fun interactions: the main light was broken on check-in, guy who came up to fix it opened the light directly over the bed and no one bothered to clean all the dust and junk that fell out. Next morning, at 9:30 the housekeeping knocked on the door. Checkout is 11. We had plans to sleep until 10:30. So much for that. Vacation mood was instantly ruined for the day.

The hotel is old. Smells realy bad. The rooms are very small. The toilet was sprayed with a lot of dichlafos, I think from the cockroaches. The hotel is worth half the money that we paid. Thank God we didn't have breakfast. I went to see it, they are tragic for the price they want. The photos in the booking do not correspond to reality. Maybe it looked like that many years ago, but now it needs repair.

My room was unfortunately extremely cold... But still, clean and comfy. Couldn't open the window tho, but I stayed only one night so it was alright. Breakfast was also very nice - I wasn't expecting it actually... But I was finally quite surprised by the buffet! (I take pics of my room just before leaving)

The price was very good for a place close to the centre & train station. Hotel was in a silent side street, no disturbances from other guests or street and they had excellent blackout curtains. Hotel rooms were more or less adequate to the price, equipment was dated a it was a bit dusty in places, but sheets and towels were clean. The staff was nice, we didn't take breakfast as there are plenty of excellent options within 5 minute walking distance. All in all I would say this hotel is ideal if you are only looking for a place to sleep and other hotels are too expensive for you.

The location of the hotel is great. However the rooms are dated (I have seen multiple rooms because we have booked four of them for our trip) the toilets are gross, and no elevator. We had to climb to the fourth floor with all of our bags. Some of the doors of the rooms on the upper floor looked like someone had tried to break in. There were not enough breakfast tables and the staff was not in uniform. In the breakfast hall was a loose hanging ceiling part with ducktape. Very dangerous if that were to fall down. Stairwell handle is loose on the top floor. Dont get me wrong; I will not expect much from a hotel that we only booked for two nights, but I wonder if these toilets were ever properly cleaned. Please do better.

Dirty, unhygienic rooms and fraudsters: do not book a room and never give them a visacard or they charge even after cancellation. I went with a friend for two days to Köln. We got two very dirty rooms. The dust was everywere. The corners of the room had not been cleaned in years (and that's no exaggeration). The carpet was not vacuumed, the mud was still on it. And there were stains everywhere. And the blankets were not white but discolored to ecru with brown spots. This was really unacceptable. It was so unhygienic that we were not willing to stay. The hotel owner/receptionist was making some excuses and tried to convince us to let the room be cleaned again of that we could have another cleaner room. However, we were still in the possibility to cancel before 6 p.m. and we checked it with the booking platform that confirmed it was within time and cancellation was free. The hotel owner said it was all ok and we did not need to cancel by means of the booking platform, we would get all money back. But we had not paid yet, they only had a visa card number. And they were not willing to give evidence that we cancelled, they could not "give a note", and only after more than an hour they were willing to write down that we gave the keys back when we had seen the room and cancelled the room. We were aware of their lies and cancelled also in time by the platform to have additional proof. When we left, they said we should trust them and that cancellation was for free. Two days later they charged the room despite the maximum cancellation cost could only be a limited amount and was free before 6 p.m. It took us a formal complaint to mastercard to get our money back. These fraudsters are criminals that you cannot trust. Never pay them in advance! Never give them access to your Visa or mastercard!

    - Poor aesthetics, both externally and internally. - Our rooms had windows in the hotel corridor (the WC & bedroom area), and one of them had broken blinds, resulting in sleeping in "public view". - Sockets were antiquated in the rooms. Only one was functional and was located away from the bed. - Unpleasant smell within the rooms - most likely from locked rooms - since the room cannot be ventilated with windows in the hallway. - No heating. We didn't risk turning on the also antiquated air-conditioning, lest the pleasant smell in the room be enhanced. - I had no desire to try the breakfast meal.

Great hotel; rooms are clean and quiet. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore Cologne. The staff are friendly and speak excellent English. The breakfast buffet was also great.

Located at a walking distance from the central train station it allows good access to the airport, Kolnmesse and other sightseeing places in the old Cologne. The room was extremely small (couldn’t do my morning push ups and abs workout in the room), the staff are very friendly and helpful.

This hotel as a big issue with smell! Ask to change room if you’re assigned at 103. Without exaggeration that room has a terribly unpleasant smell! This hotel should be reported to the City government as what they’re offering is below standard of hygiene. I was then moved to another room and it had the super strong smell of urine and I am not once against exaggerating to the point that I had brushed the bowl several times together with the liquid hand wash and very hot water. The smell was still there and I was very frustrated. The phone number they have provided - nobody answered when 3 of my friends were helping me call them at different times of the day until 10pm to get the information about my room # and how I can enter the main hotel door! I sent them an email thru this main website of this Centro chain of hotels and got no answer. Had the management maintained this hotel, it has great potential as it is like a small cozy inn and location is 100% great - near shops, restaurants, public transportation, tourist attractions, ATM machines, money changer, cafe, and everything. Unfortunately the rooms smelled very unhygienic and the duvet and pillows were very old and really yellowish! The sheets that covered them were clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast is generous and I’m not kidding- the old ladywho does the breakfast does the best scrambled eggs and best croissant I have ever tasted. I mentioned this to the evening staff as a complement to the one makes it and he wasn’t interested nor appreciated my positive comment. The staffs were not friendly to me despite my polite and friendly disposition. No smile at all and when I asked for the city tax receipt & he looked as if he was too bothered when no other guests was there. I paid €15 cash for the city tax and I had to ask for a receipt, otherwise they wouldn’t give! Seriously this hotel should be reported to the corresponding authorities so they can operate legally and with the right standards.

Rooms are terrible and old. WC is bad and old. Everything is falling apart. Breakfast doesn’t offer many options, and staff was not that friendly. Paid 220 a night for this 😂

Good for a short stay. Really friendly staff, towels were changed daily, walking distance from the tourist area and fair breakfast to get you going for the day. Yes, rooms are rather small, but it's enough for a quick stop.

Nice hotel, room was a little small but it's fine for a solo traveller. Breakfast was lovely & its very conveniently located, just a short walk from the train station. All amenities are close by & Thiebolds bar where I drank lots of Kolsch 🍺 on every day of my stay is about 10 minutes walk.

The bed in my room was broken and I was not offered another option on that day. A day later, I was offered a room with a broken window (which I preferred). The reception staff were mostly friendly, but they made me wait and walk back and forth (and up and down) between my room and the reception desk three times before accompanying me to the room to address the problem. I lost a morning of work time trying to get a functional room. The hotel was booked with a company creditcard, but the reception staff could not find it and made me pay with a personal card. This was followed by lengthy phone calls, and although the hotel staff located the company creditcard details, I could not be refunded by the hotel. The room was very small. For both the rooms I was in, it was very difficult to open the door with the keycard. This hotel is only suitable if you appreciate a Fawlty Towers experience.

Good enough for 1 of 2 nights. You don't live in there. But not more. Small rooms, basic stuff (not enough electric plugs) and bathroom could have a refresh. The breakfast is good enough (not the fruit juices). For the price and great central location, it's a good one.

Excellent hotel! Breakfast was amazing. I felt safe walking to and from the hotel both during the day and night. All the main tourist locations were in walking distance. Friendly and caring staff. The rooms were small and out dated but I will definitely stay again as it was comfortable. Friendly and caring staff.

Mixed review from me. Pros- 1. Excellent Breakfast 2. Comfortable rooms and beds. Cons- 1. One rude receptionist. Thanks to Mostafa (other receptionist), he is an excellent guy and carries a smile every time. Wanted to thank you. 2. You can't check-in early before 2:00 PM whatever you do. I reached Cologne by around 10 AM after travelling for 2 days, even after that I had to wait till 2:00 PM to check-in. That receptionist doesn't have the courtesy to at least suggest if I can opt for the room with extra pay. Giving 1 star less bcoz of the rude behaviour, apart from that rooms were comfortable even though the rooms were very small.

Hotel is falling apart. Not sure how it's still open based on the state of the rooms and interior. Bathroom was horrific. Covered in thick black mold in some places, from basically head to toe. Hotel wouldn't accept any responsibility saying it's part of the package of staying with them basically, based on their response and that evidence provided is not worthy of their attention. If you choose to stay here, good luck that you don't catch the plague.
