We stayed for 2 nights here. Beautiful mountain views, relaxed atmosphere. Accessible via taxi or a bus (check the schedule) from Berchtesgaden. Very impressed with the service and friendliness of all the hotel staff. Everyone made sure to check on how we were doing each day. I highly recommend this hotel!

I can't recommend Stoll's Hotel Alpina highly enough. After initially booking for 3 nights we ended up staying for 11 nights. The hotel is well situated a couple of miles outside Berchtesgaden town, convenient to pick up a bit of shopping but far enough out to be away from the bustle. All of the sights of the area are within a short drive and it's easy to get slightly further afield to Salzburg and onwards. It's a very dog friendly hotel. Dogs are welcome just about everywhere in the hotel and the staff were particularly welcoming to our dog, providing a bowl, blanket and treats for him to enjoy. There are lots of nice shady areas to lie in and there are walks directly from the hotel that lead into woodland and along the river. It's great for children as well - our children enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools, soft play area and outdoor play area. There are a range of board games available and outdoor play equipment e.g. rackets and balls, and a sandpit with lots of beach toys. They were particularly pleased with the free ice creams which were handed out every afternoon 🙂 The breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied and it was nice to sit out on the outdoor terrace to enjoy it. It was also possible to buy bar snacks and drinks from afternoon onwards, as well as the restaurant for evening meals. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil, all of the facilities were clean and well tended and despite the hotel being full, the facilities never seemed overly busy and it was easy to get a sun lounger or table at the bar. The hotel has amazing views over the mountains. The hotel has a cool mid-century vibe while also retaining its distinctive Bavarian character. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome. The service approach is very customer centric and personal. During our stay, we had some fairly urgent unexpected circumstances that needed immediate attention. The staff and the owner of the hotel went absolutely above and beyond the call of duty to help us navigate the local services we needed to call on (our German is pretty basic) and couldn't have done more to help us, making time even though it was some of their busiest weeks of the year. As a result what could have turned into a nightmare holiday was saved. It has totally renewed our faith that 'old-fashioned' customer service still exists out there. The team are an absolute credit to the hotel.

The rooms are spacious, with lovely mountain views when the weather is good. Unfortunately the doors are not sound proof and you can hear noise from the hallway. The decor of the hotel is not to everyone’s taste, but all is well kept and maintained. The property had ample parking and staff were welcoming and friendly. Seating for breakfast periods can be limited, but staff accommodate you as best as possible and the coffee and food tastes good. We partook in a massage from the hotel’s masseur which was wonderful and I would highly recommend. It was the highlight of the stay.

I stayed here two nights in September 2019. The place is very scenic and the hotel is unique in many ways. Inside the rooms you can hear everything that is going on outside including in the hallways, people going up stairs, and cars pulling out of the gravel lot. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend staying here. We dined at the restaurant on site and the food was pretty good. We got to breakfast too early on the last day of our stay because we got the time wrong (our fault) but as I was grabbing some cereal the person was very rude to me about it and didn’t seem to be thankful that we chose to stay at their hotel. I didn’t expect to be served breakfast that early but we had somewhere to be so went down there as we were checking out. Based on the attitudes here you can definitely tell it is an old hotel and they do things their way.

Regret only staying for one night in Stoll’s hotel. Love this hotel and rooms are clean and stylish. I book by sending email to hotel directly and staff are very polite in every reply. This hotel is good for family stay and there are plenty of parking space. One more thing is the breakfast is perfect :)

We loved the hotel service and location is great. The food at the restaurant is good and they hav different daily dinner menu everyday. We loved the place so much that we decided to extend another 2 Nights from the original 4 Night stay.

Really nice Alpine hotel just minutes from berchtesgaden center, salt mines and obersalzberg. Room was very clean and well kept. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast is really good and the views from the hotel are breath taking.

The hotel was nice with a very beautiful mountainview. The staff in the restaurant was stressed and didn't give us a smile and seem to feel like even giving us the menu was asking too much, perhaps because we're foreigners that couldn't speak german.

Just such a beautiful place. Please don’t change or modernize this beautiful place. Loved that each room were different and the personal vibe of the place.
