I
can't
recommend
Stoll's
Hotel
Alpina
highly
enough.
After
initially
booking
for
3
nights
we
ended
up
staying
for
11
nights.
The
hotel
is
well
situated
a
couple
of
miles
outside
Berchtesgaden
town,
convenient
to
pick
up
a
bit
of
shopping
but
far
enough
out
to
be
away
from
the
bustle.
All
of
the
sights
of
the
area
are
within
a
short
drive
and
it's
easy
to
get
slightly
further
afield
to
Salzburg
and
onwards.
It's
a
very
dog
friendly
hotel.
Dogs
are
welcome
just
about
everywhere
in
the
hotel
and
the
staff
were
particularly
welcoming
to
our
dog,
providing
a
bowl,
blanket
and
treats
for
him
to
enjoy.
There
are
lots
of
nice
shady
areas
to
lie
in
and
there
are
walks
directly
from
the
hotel
that
lead
into
woodland
and
along
the
river.
It's
great
for
children
as
well
-
our
children
enjoyed
the
indoor
and
outdoor
pools,
soft
play
area
and
outdoor
play
area.
There
are
a
range
of
board
games
available
and
outdoor
play
equipment
e.g.
rackets
and
balls,
and
a
sandpit
with
lots
of
beach
toys.
They
were
particularly
pleased
with
the
free
ice
creams
which
were
handed
out
every
afternoon
🙂
The
breakfast
buffet
was
plentiful
and
varied
and
it
was
nice
to
sit
out
on
the
outdoor
terrace
to
enjoy
it.
It
was
also
possible
to
buy
bar
snacks
and
drinks
from
afternoon
onwards,
as
well
as
the
restaurant
for
evening
meals.
The
grounds
are
beautiful
and
tranquil,
all
of
the
facilities
were
clean
and
well
tended
and
despite
the
hotel
being
full,
the
facilities
never
seemed
overly
busy
and
it
was
easy
to
get
a
sun
lounger
or
table
at
the
bar.
The
hotel
has
amazing
views
over
the
mountains.
The
hotel
has
a
cool
mid-century
vibe
while
also
retaining
its
distinctive
Bavarian
character.
All
of
the
staff
were
super
friendly
and
helpful
and
really
made
us
feel
welcome.
The
service
approach
is
very
customer
centric
and
personal.
During
our
stay,
we
had
some
fairly
urgent
unexpected
circumstances
that
needed
immediate
attention.
The
staff
and
the
owner
of
the
hotel
went
absolutely
above
and
beyond
the
call
of
duty
to
help
us
navigate
the
local
services
we
needed
to
call
on
(our
German
is
pretty
basic)
and
couldn't
have
done
more
to
help
us,
making
time
even
though
it
was
some
of
their
busiest
weeks
of
the
year.
As
a
result
what
could
have
turned
into
a
nightmare
holiday
was
saved.
It
has
totally
renewed
our
faith
that
'old-fashioned'
customer
service
still
exists
out
there.
The
team
are
an
absolute
credit
to
the
hotel.
