Beautiful old stone shelter, located directly on the Rheinsteig, popular for a rest after the first climb after the start in Bonn.

A place to unwind for a while. But it gets busy quickly on the weekend. That's why it's quieter (better) during the week.

Very nice...but I will never understand people who leave their garbage lying around. I used to always be able to put things away after the party, even when I was busy.

Some of the few historic buildings in the northern Siebengebirge and nice to sit on. The original idea was a place to linger with a view from the Ennert towards the Rhine and the Siebengebirge. Unfortunately, this view has now become overgrown. I think it's a shame because I still remember the view decades ago. Now the place has lost its charm. If you sit there, all you have left is the memory.

For hikers, the Foveaux cottage offers a good opportunity to take a break to lighten the picnic backpack you have brought with you. It offers protection in the rain, especially in northerly winds. If the benches in the house are already occupied when the sun is shining, there are wooden tables and benches next to the house as alternative options.
