Tasty, quick, pleasant interior. The "Death by Chocolate" dessert is rather a "Still Alive by Disappointed like Hell" dessert as it just lacks the chocolatey kick to it but respect to the cook making it look good and to the marketing staff for making a fun name. Tried it, did not die, will not recommend to buy it :(... Two stars off as I really didn't like the cafeteria-style ordering system with the card. The system is clever, however, I wish the card readers were at the tables so you don't have to walk around and wait in line for everything. It forces you to wait in several lines and while there with a company, forces you to leave your friends waiting at the table only so that they leave after you've come back to the table. And at the end everybody eats separately as the food comes randomly at different time (sorry, it doesn't come, you have to pick it up... Leaving the table again!). It must be the most anti-social concept ever... Get your readers to the tables with the option of "group ordering" or allow in-app ordering and I'll be visiting more often! For years for pretty much every month we were loyal customers. Now we are not coming back anymore. Quality declined, portions become smaller as prices rise over the last year especially. Was a delicious place a couple of years ago, with good portions. Now we went with a family of four, paying a lot for full portions and I swear we all left hungry. The taste in general lost its richness compared to the original Vapiano. Would have never happened three years ago. Also their original Vapiano salad sauce is not as good any more and you just get a little bit. While you actually got some good bread with your salad a few years ago, now the slices are counted, thin and old. Salad felt like half the size. The kids usually have the kids portion. We ordered the adult plates for our kids and they still remained hungry. Their tomatoes were not even cut properly, the green still on and dumped listlessly on top. Two stars for the atmosphere and quick service, which is nice for kids. But sorry, we are not coming back anymore. And no, we are not giving a second chance as we gave at least 10 chances over the last year and it got worse every time.

Today I came here and was met by this cashier called Ines who was stuck up and full of attitude. I politely asked her to help me with an order and it was obvious she was annoyed and was extremely rude. I asked her if she has a problem and she said “no, but you seem like you do” If you don’t want to deal with customers stay home and find other job that wouldn’t make you deal with customers. Very strange behaviour.

Disappointing lunch. It took them 50min to prepare my spaghetti and no apologies from service or heads-up at check-in (I was told food takes about 20min). Unfortunately the Spaghetti did disappoint too. They were ultra sticky, not easy to eat and the flavor was fairly plain.

Cool concept! Attentive and helpful staff and great food! Service was quick, plenty of seating and a nice ambiance - indoor and out. Prices are reasonable and portions are just right.

Embarrassing. Overcooked pasta, indecipherable "guanciale". Even worse service: we choose the Lunch Deal, the clerk asks us if we want chicken or shrimps in the pasta - did we just land on another planet?? - letting us believe that this would be their version of carbonara. At the time of payment, however, we discover that the chicken and shrimps are considered extra and we have to pay the difference. Culturally offensive!! Never again.

I used to like the Vapiano pre COVID better. The open kitchen and self service made it a unique experience. Now it's almost regular dining, of course with a price increase. Still, a decent place for an Italian meal a coffee or casual drinks in this area of Bonn. (Not many options around here) A plus point is spacious seating area, good for families. Street Parking is a bit limited, but easy to reach by tram!!

The new online ordering system was ok, but the notification system wasn't working, so we ended up waiting while our food was ready, getting cold in the kitchen area. The food itself was tasty. Lunch offers for 12.50 EUR were good value.

Ordering from web app (QR code on desk place)only possible is very bad. We lose 1 hour to order drink and half hour to food order and additional time to wait and go to food (and drink, too). Horrible self service and if it is possible I will try to avoid this restoran.

These guys seem to overoptimized thei business. They save money not only the with electronic menu by removing regular waitresses but also by removing cooks. We waited for our pastas for 40 minutes. Nice result :-(

Maybe it is unfair to compare the Vapiano earlier with how it is now. So I am going to try my best to rate it just on how it is now (stars are given based on how it is) but at the same time I do want to mention some compassion with how it used to be. Having said that the taste of the food was just ok. We ordered pasta carbonara and a feta-guacamole salad. Both dishes were ok. The salad could have had some more dressing. Maybe it’s a preference thing. The Ambience was nice as always. It’s very modern and we love the concept of self service. Comparison: so one of the things that was new was the ordering system. Those who know the old system we got a card when we entered and we could book the dishes on the card as we ordered. Now there are two methods. One, we can order at an Automat like at the McDonald’s stores and scan a beeper. The other one was too Scans a QR code at the table and order online. So we thought this system needs to be improved. Even though we selected a group order option, after one dish was put in cart it didn’t allow to add another dish to the cart(what if same person wants to order 2 dishes). Sharing the link also didn’t work that smooth. So after sending a while trying to figure it out we decided to go to the Automat and order it there. This worked fine. The prices have gone up quite a bit. Yes, since corona everything has become bit pricy but for that it’s a self service, quick grab option it is pricy. Not all the pasta options (eg. tagliatelle which used to be our favourite) as earlier was there. only few pasta options were available to choose from. Also not sure if it was just an exception on that day/ for that branch.

Food is less than average, waiters are nice but the kitchen get order wrong if not ordering from the machine. Ate their 3 time only because the hotel i was tsaying at was next door and there was no other choice, first time the pasta were so dry, couldn't finish, the 2 nd night the salad i ordered didn't match the description on the menu, the lasagne were still cold inside and not tasty probably frozen ready meal, the third night after waiting more than 20 minutes for my pizza got the wrong pizza, i said no mushrron ended up with the wrong pizza and full of mushrooms..Overpriced and bad food

Vapiano - the italian semi-fast food, with card based ordering - you pay when you go at the cashier. And the most important you can choose wholeweep pasta too!!!

Nice quite location. Friendly staff. Wide menu. My son enjoyed watching how his pizza was prepared . Food was good and price reasonable

The food was tasty and fresh as always but there are some points: I have ordered Cesar salad with 6pieces of shrimp 🍤, it was as expensive as a whole dish of pasta with shrimps that my husband ordered. It was as expensive as pasta but the portion was half of it so i was not satisfied and still was hungry 😕. It would be great when it's so expensive at least make the amount of food big enough fo an adult person.🧐

I don't understand why in Germany the service in restaurants is often very rude, but we have been to vapiano many times and this is the first time I have met such rudeness. I only asked for fresh basil to which the employee answered me in a rude manner without even listening to my request,then I self found this fresh basil on another table and showed her,she didn't like it,and also was very rude with answering....when trying explain...she answered, I haven't basil....I am in the schok, excuse me?I am not in your home,it's your job! also threatened me I am shocked by such rudeness, I asked the manager, she claimed that she is the manager .. is there such a manager? feeling their impunity, they show disrespect for a client who has come to eat with his family what a horror, I'm shocked by such staff

It's sort of self service - you order on a screen & get a "pager" to notify you when your food is ready. The atmosphere & look of the place is nice. The staff were helpful and spoke English. At peak lunchtime there were plenty of spots available, including bar stool seating and couches. The food was delicious (pasta carbonara); I waited like 15 minutes. Prices seemed reasonable.

Food was average the time I was there. There was another time I ordered a Pinsa and thought it wasn't good. I enjoyed the espresso though. The place itself is nice as well.

Pizza, salad and dessert all good! The first meaI I really enjoyed in Bonn. Would definitely revisit
